Chapter 64 - Back Home

They arrived at Dashiell's cabin and slowly made their way up a few stairs. Trisha offered to carry his belongings, but he insisted on managing them himself, stubbornly trying to hide the discomfort his injury was causing him.

Trisha's concern only deepened, but she held her tongue, knowing that arguing with him would be futile. Instead, she focused on helping him step on the stairs and getting him into the house.

Once inside, she looked around and noticed that his cabin was well-kept.

As far as Trisha knew from Aunt Gwen, Dashiell had initially stayed in a motel room when he first arrived. But after a while, he moved into this rented cabin. It was clear that he had made it cozy—there were books neatly stacked on the coffee table, pictures and paintings on the walls, and a comfy couch right in the middle of the room.
