"What am I hiding?" Jazlyn spat. "Are you kidding me? I've been nothing but loyal to you and this project. I'm the one who's been busting my ass trying to keep things on track. And this is the thanks I get?"
Trisha shook her head firmly.
"I'm sorry," she said. "But the evidence doesn't lie. It all points back to you, Jazlyn."
Jazlyn let out a humorless laugh.
"This is ridiculous," she scoffed. "Are you accusing me of being the traitor? Are you really that paranoid, ma'am?"
"Paranoid?" Trisha repeated, feeling anger rising within her. "I'm not being paranoid. I'm doing my job, and I'm trying to protect the project. We're so close, and I can't let anyone sabotage us now. I can't let you sabotage us, Jazlyn."
