As Trisha sat quietly, the sound of the ocean still in the background, Dashiell's warning about Jazlyn replayed in her mind. She hadn't thought much about it at first, brushing it off as him overthinking things. But now, the more she reflected on their heated conversation from earlier and Jazlyn's odd behavior, the more uneasy she felt.
Dashiell had mentioned her being caught off guard when he found her in the office—something about that didn't sit right with her. Maybe there was more going on with Jazlyn than Trisha had realized.
She would have to keep a closer eye on Jazlyn, just to be safe. And if she noticed anything strange or out of the ordinary, she'd be sure to let Dashiell know.
The sound of the ocean continued to drift in through the window, and Trisha couldn't help but feel a twinge of reminiscence. She missed her life before everything had fallen apart. Before the chaos and constant stress became the norm.
