Dashiell could feel a surge of determination as he looked into her eyes. He was ready to take on this challenge, and he knew she was too. They would not let this island fall.
"I guess this means we have our work cut out for us," Dashiell commented.
"Yep. And the sooner we get started, the better."
After a brief pause, Trisha looked at him with a curious expression. "By the way, what brings you here today? I thought you still needed to rest from your injury. Shouldn't you be taking it easy?"
Dashiell shrugged, a hint of a grin on his face. "Yeah, I probably should be taking it easy, but I figured a little distraction wouldn't hurt. Besides, I'm not one to sit around idly when there's work to be done."
She raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "And what kind of work are you planning to do? You should be focusing on healing, not running around."
