Both Kell and Ian exchanged glances. While they will not help just about everyone, if they could help, they would lend their hands, as long as it is something they could help with.
They ran towards the source of the scream when they spotted the monsters they wished to subjugate, goblins.
However, their attention is mostly on the people surrounded by the goblins, a group of adventurers. Specifically, an all-female group.
Ian shook his head, it was not time to ogle on the girls. Now, they should focus on saving them first. While the receptionist did say something about not being allowed to take the goblin subjugation commission, he never said anything about slaying goblins itself.
Ian quickly told Kell of the loophole, the bigger boy nodding in understanding. Without a word, the large boy charged at the goblins in front.
Despite being larger than the goblins, Kell is a lot faster, easily reaching the creatures before he Shield Bash them both, sending them flying to the trees.
Ian ran after him, arriving at the girls in seconds. He did a quick check on them. He could see there were several goblins' corpses near them, likely killed before the group was overwhelmed.
He looked at the only person still awake of the three females, a blonde girl with a very large bust. Her tattered clothing as well as the fact she was holding a broken staff told him that the girl was likely a magic user as well.
"Help me check them of any injuries," Ian told the girl, who was stunned. Not having time for this, he shook the girl, ignoring another jiggling object near him.
It seemed to wake the girl up, finally realizing that she was saved by passing adventurers.
"Alright," she managed to say before looking at the unconscious girls. He decided to let the girl handle the unconscious members of her group first as he eyed the goblins.
Kell had already killed seven, more than what the group killed. Of course, he did not plan on letting Kell to kill more than him. After all, they are tied, with him killing more slimes than him in the fight before.
He observed the forest, spotting several goblin archers nocking arrows, aiming for his best friend. Eyes narrowed, Ian aimed at the monsters before shooting them with Arcane Shot.
While he never had any prior experience with firearms, the closest thing their previous world had to Arcana Shot, he did play a lot of first-shooter games. And it seems gravity is an option for magic attacks.
With great precision, he took down the archers, killing them with ease despite them being well hidden and far from his current spot.
After taking out the goblin archers as well as some goblins that came too close for comfort, he turned to the girls, only to see the magician, look at him in shock and awe.
Unfortunately, he, or to be more accurate, they, did not have time for the blonde to look at him like a god.
"Tell me how badly injured they are, now!" he yelled at the blonde magician before firing another Arcane Shot as a goblin managed to pass through the wall that is Kell.
"Uuhmm, they are not badly injured, Lisa is bleeding on her forehead but it is from being hit by a stone, while Ana was hit with an arrow on her shoulder," the magician reported.
A quick glance told him that Lisa was the one who held a bow, while Ana was the one holding a sword. He did not have the time to help them as he was their last line of defense.
"Pull the arrow, now!" he ordered the magician. Slightly reluctant, she looked at him only to see he was busy dealing with some of the goblins.
Steeling her heart, she pulled the arrow, getting a heart-wrenching scream from Ana in return. Quickly, she told the man, "I pulled it,"
Nodding, the man raised his palm in Ana's direction. "Heal," he uttered. At that moment, a green glow surrounded Ana as the shoulder wound began to close.
He did the same thing to Lisa, casting Heal once more, the bleeding on her forehead stopped. The blonde looked at Ian in awe.
However, Ian did not have time to care for it as he was too busy killing the goblins. With luck, the girls will wake up soon.
His wishes seemed to be heard as he heard a groan behind him. From what he could hear, the blonde hugged someone, "Lisa, you alright!" Lisa, he corrected.
"Uggh, what happe- we are ambushed by goblins!" the bow user exclaimed, looking around and beginning to see the predicament they were in.
"Yes, but those two men saved us," the blonde told her, the bow user seemingly calming down.
Without a word, the bow user began to nock her arrows and fired at the monster's rank. Ian gave the bow-user a brief nod before he took out two singers.
Realizing she might not need to focus on the one that was far, Lisa fired at the one closing in, her shoot hitting the goblins as they tried to get close.
Meanwhile, Ana seemed to begin to stir. Something he was glad for as they needed another frontline fighter to hold the line.
Kell might be strong but he is one person. Soon, he heard running as the sword-user ran towards Kell's side, stabbing a goblin that was too close for comfort.
With their front being protected by the two, Ian turned his head to the back, his Appraisal spotting the goblins coming in.

As he and the archer began to take down the one behind them, Ian looked at the magician, "Why are you not using any spell?" he asked.
The magician lifted her broken staff, "I can't use my magic properly without my staff. If I tried to use it, it would make me accidentally hit someone by accident," she yelled before a staff was thrown at her.
"Wha-" "Use that for now," Ian told her as he began to fire Arcane Shot with his hands. With his hands not holding the staff, he could fire from both his hands, though the power is greatly reduced.
It is still enough to make a hole inside the goblins so it is good enough. With his focus on the goblins, he did not notice the two looking at him in shock, their mouth wide open as they watched him take down the goblins easily.
A roar soon made them come to their senses as they began to help him thin the monster's rank.
