Several figures were gathered in the dim room.
Arranged inside was a single large table surrounded by chairs, much like a conference room.
Five people sat in the chairs. Despite only being five, based on the tremendous power emanating especially from the man seated in the chief position—no, birthday seat—they each held formidable strength that was a cut above the other four.
That man was first to break the silence.
"How's it progressing, Clim?"
"Ye~es. Things are just~ peachy keen. We're right at the finish line now~"
The man seated opposite Clim opened his mouth.
"Kiki, can't trust a single word. Comin' from someone who got their ass beat by some random fella and came crawlin' back here."
"Hmph, ancient history—"
"Kiki, and wasn't that someone just a measly human? However long ago, losin' to a mere human, that just goes to show how far the mighty Clim has fallen."
