"Focus! Mariel. Don't drop your hand, raise it high!" Bellany ordered in a serious tone. Mariel, who had never been a cheerleader before, tried to memorize the dance moves and follow her team members but it's still not good enough. Some poses she can remember, but when she changed to another pose and had to go back and repeat it again, she forgets. Even though Mariel's dance practice wasn't as satisfying as she should have been, Bellany chose to be patient because she believes that Mariel will definitely be a great choice to the cheerleading team.
"It's more difficult than practicing swordsman skills all day long." Mariel complained, panting from exhaustion after three hours of cheerleading practice.
"Don't give up. Even you fought many battles with monsters or assassins, and you succeeded. So cheerleading practice won't be too difficult for you, I believed." Bellany tried to encourage her friend.
"Drink some water, Mariel." Mania said as she walked over and handed Mariel a bottle of water.
"Thank you, but what about Beatrix?" Mariel asked curiously.
"I am taking your pictures." Beatrix shouted from the audience seat not too far away. In her hand was a medium-sized camera and she held up two fingers in joy as if she had completed an important mission.
"Why are you filming me?" Mariel shouted.
"Pictures of Mariel who practicing her cheerleading dancing steps are sure to be a rare item for the guys." Beatrix said with a sparkle in her eyes.
"It's definitely selling good." Mania said with a big smile.
"Why do you do this to me?" Mariel cried out through tears.
"Everyone, our costumes are ready!" one of the cheerleader's members shouted while holding a large box of costumes.
"Let's try it on. And let's practice more." Bellany said with excitement.
All 7 female students changed their clothes. Cheerleaders consist of Sheer round neck shirt. There are no sleeves on either side. The shirt is white, alternating with red and gold patterns mixed. There is also a beautiful school crest above the small pocket on the left side which makes it look even better. A short white skirt with red and gold lines contrasting beautifully with the edge of the skirt. When the ladies wear them, they look pretty, majestic and adorable. This caused Beatrix and the other female students to take a big group photo.
Snap! Snap! Snap! (sound of the shutter clicking rapidly)
"Mariel looked super cute in her cheerleading outfit. I'm sure Jerrick, Senior Jack and other men in the other rooms will definitely be queuing up to buy this exclusive set of photos." Beatrix said with an idea.
"We'll earned a lot of money." Mania said.
"Why do I have to be like this?" Mariel cried out in anguish.
"Alright, let's keep practicing!" Bellany shouted.
"Yes, boss!" The others said in unison.
Bellany then led Mariel and five other members of the team into cheer practice until close to midnight. Once practice was finished, they all changed into their school uniforms as usual, one group member carefully collected all the soaked cheerleading uniforms and put them in a basket to prepare to take them back to wash and dry them thoroughly.
Mariel and her two friends returned to their room, and she almost immediately passed out from exhaustion after practicing cheer for more than 6 hours nonstop.
"I can't take it anymore... I hardly have any strength in my arms and legs." Mariel said after collapsing on the sofa that she slept on every night.
"No, take a shower and change into pajamas first! You're all sweaty." Beatrix said as she tried to pull Mariel up from the sofa, with Mania coming to help her too.
After taking a shower and changing into pajamas, Mariel suddenly passed out on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep from exhaustion. As for the other two friends, they were lying on their beds and watching at her with concern.
"Mariel is going through a lot of things. Why does she have to prepare to practice competing as a first-year swordsman representative and also have to practice cheerleading at the same time? Her body won't be able to bear it." Mania said with concern.
"I also can't help but be worried about her too. Just practicing and preparing for the competition alone is almost exhausting. Nevertheless, she still must practice cheering too. I guess we need to give her some rejuvenation potion." Beatrix said by giving an idea.
"Let's try to buy some. By the time the competition arrives, there will definitely be used a lot." Mania said.
2 more days and it's almost competition day. Mariel, who practiced her swordsmanship and cheerleading skills so hard that she almost didn't get enough rest, she walked back to the female student dormitory, feeling very weary and tired.
"I can't stand this every day either. Both practicing swordsmanship skills and cheerleading but I had to do these because of the face of the 1st school that she had to be. Bellany had to beg for help being the school's cheerleader. I don't want to deny it, but what can I do? Accept it and try my best. If it's time for me to be announced to the arena to compete with the opponent, when will I have the time to change into my fighting gear?" Mariel complained.
"It's a bit difficult, Mariel." A voice sounded from behind Mariel, causing her to turn around and look.
"Principal Hector and Vice Elizabeth!" Mariel said as she bowed to the two of them.
"Drink this." Elizabeth said, coming closer to Mariel and handing her a portion of light green liquid.
Mariel slowly opened the lid and drank the whole thing in one gulp. As the light green liquid slowly entered the stomach, there was a feeling of relaxation, and the body immediately regained its strength again. It was as if she had rested and recovered to 100 % once again.
"My exhausting completely gone! Thank you very much." Mariel said gratefully.
"That's not enough, Eli and I have one more thing we want you to get." Hector said.
"Hold your hand, Mariel." Elizabeth said.
When Mariel held out her left hand, Elizabeth placed something in her hand. It was a 6-pointed flower brooch with golden petals and in the center was a beautiful red ruby diamond. Upon closer inspection, she found that this brooch was highly resistant to damage from physical and magical powers.
"What is it?" Mariel asked curiously.
"A costume-changing brooch. You can use this brooch to remember all the different types of clothes that you have and when it's time to change into another one, just close your eyes and think about that cloth. Then touch the red ruby diamond in the center and your clothes would be instantly replaced with other one that you were thinking of it." Elizabeth explained in detail.
"Wow, that's really helpful. Thank you very much." Marielle said in gratitude for this gift.
"It's a bit tiring that you have to be both the school's representative in the swordsmanship competition and also the cheerleader too. Principle Hector and I agree that this brooch might be of some useful to you." Elizabeth said with concern.
"I will definitely fight and do everything for the school." Mariel said, clenching her fists with confidence.
"Excellent. This brooch uses crystals from the stone golem that we went on the last mission with and also used the highest level of magic to create it. This makes a brooch resistant to almost every form of attack. Please keep it safe." Hector said.
"I'll do my best to preserve it." Mariel said, attaching a pin to the upper right side of her shirt.
"This brooch can change your invisible status. Whenever you want to use it, just think of it and it will happen right away." Elizabeth said.
"Understood. I'll go back to my room now. Tomorrow, I have to prepare to continue practicing more. Thank you very much again." Mariel said.
"Take the rest, see you later." Hector said.
Mariel bowed to them and immediately ran back to the girls' dormitory. As for Hector and Elizabeth, they stood and looked at her until she was out of sight and then prepared to return to their rooms as well.
"This year's competition will definitely have some phenomenal effects." Hector said.
"I can feel it too. It might be comparable to when Victor competed in his first year about this competition." Elizabeth said.
"Can't wait to see it." Hector said cheerfully.
"You will see female students in their cheerleading uniforms too." Elizabeth said, looking at the other person as if reading his thoughts.
"I really hate people with good sense like you, Lol." Hector said with laugh before the two of them headed back to their rooms.
The last 2 days before the competition, Mariel trained very hard, and the results were satisfactory to the officer who supervised and controlled the training at the field. As for Beatrix, she has outstanding work in the field of magicians who can conjure almost every type of magic, including others who are representatives as well.
"Do your best, my friend." Yujin, who was the representative of the Sword and Shield class, came to encourage Mariel.
"Thank you, and you too, my friend." Mariel said, returning the encouragement to the other as well.
"Those two look closer than friends, I'm really envious." Senior Jack said as Jerrick nodded in agreement nearby him.
"Two tigers can't live in the same cave, but now. There will be a third tiger coming in." Jerrick said.
"Don't overthinking about this. They were just best friends when they were children." Mania told the truth for the others to understand.
"But...I still worry about this." Senior Jack said.
"Don't think too much, just look at this, guys." Beatrix walked in and showed them something that made them instantly lose their minds.
"What! A photo of Mariel in a cheerleader outfit !!!" Jerrick cried out in shock.
"How much for this!!!" Senior Jack immediately asked the price of this picture.
"How much should I sell it?" Beatrix said thoughtfully.
"Take 50 gold coins." Jerrick offered a prize that was hard to refuse immediately.
"75 gold coins!" Senior Jack didn't give up on this.
"100 gold coins!!!" Jerrick said, turning to stare at the other person with revenge in his eyes.
"I am ready for 100 gold coins as well." Senior Jack said, staring back at the other person without hesitation.
"Ok. I have two of these photos. I'm selling them for you two in this cost." Beatrix concluded as she received a bag full of money from them.
"I will keep it for my personal viewing every night. I have the courage to fight this battle" Jerrick said in a good mood.
"Definitely put it on the shelf. My lovely Mariel." Senior Jack said with emotion as he attached the photo own chest with care.
Everyone prepares until the day of the competition. The school deployed a large bus to take the varsity students competing with selected cheerleaders and teachers to a central stadium in the center of the capital city. The stadium holds nearly 10,000 people. Bellany and her teams had to wear cheerleading uniforms from the beginning, but when it was time to compete in the event, they would change their uniforms and come back to compete again.
When the representatives from the competition came down from the large bus along with the cheerleaders, was the target of eyes from students from other schools as well as the public who came to watch the competition this time.
"Look! the varsity group from the No. 1st school." a woman said, pointing at the varsity students standing out in the parking lot.
"The cheerleaders are all pretty and cute." the group of men praised.
"It's show time, everyone. We are the face of the No. 1st school cheerleaders." Bellany said.
"Oh, that's really embarrassing, and it's also being broadcast live all over the world. If Mom and Dad saw this, how would they feel?" Mariel said with an embarrassed expression.
At home, Deric and Claudia are watching a live broadcast on television. They noticed that the camera was taking pictures of the cheerleaders.
"Mariel looks great in a cheerleader outfit." Deric admired.
"Yes she is.." Claudia was pleased to see her daughter in this look.
"But what I'm really looking forward to is the competition. How she will go through the finals." Deric said.
"She'll definitely do it." Claudia confirmed.
Within that competition field, people sat on the stands, all neatly seated. The students from the four schools participating in the competition had a side that was separate from others.
The sound of cheering echoed throughout the stadium. Year 1st , 2nd , and 3rd representatives from the top 4 schools prepared in the waiting room inside. As for the cheerleading team, they were ready to go out at the stadium.
"Alright, let's all go out and do our best!" Bellany shouted to the others.
"Yes, boss!" Everyone responded in unison as they vigorously followed Bellany out of the exit to the stadium.
