Chereads / Mariel: The Goddess of War / Chapter 67 - Quadrilateral sports event.

Chapter 67 - Quadrilateral sports event.

"Is there a quadruplet sports event soon?" The students in class 1 asked in unison.

"Yes, it is an event where the top 4 most famous magic schools will send groups of students from each type of classes to compete for number one, with each class being able to send only 2 representatives from each school. For example, there are 5 competitions. Classes such as the Swordsman class, Shield Swordsman class, Magician class, Assassin class, and Archer class, etc.," Professor Cassandra explained.

"So, there isn't a healer class?" A female student raised her hand to ask.

"If there is this class in the competition as well. It would have been more than a day before we knew the result who will win or lose." Professor Cassandra said.

"So, when will this event start?" Jerick asked with an excited look on his face.

"Next month. Therefore, today there will be applications for selection of students in all 5 classes of Years 1, 2, and 3 and the testing will begin immediately next week too." Professor Cassandra said. All the students were very eager to participate in the test.

"And what is the winner's prize?" Bellany asked.

"Who was the winner of each class in each grade this year. Your name will be inducted into the Hall of Fame of that school and the prize for each year is 300 gold coins for the 1st year, 400 gold coins for the 2nd year, and finally 500 gold coins for the 3rd year. The winners will receive their prize from the support of the city council and school council. Nevertheless, for third-year students, the winners in all five classes will also have the special consideration to become the city council elite members too." Professor Cassandra explained.

After students knew that they would have to be an elite member of the city council, the first-year students all shouted with joy because this is a guarantee to them for being an elite member of each class in the future who will have the right to complete important missions before others who are just starting out as general level at first. They also have a seal of approval from the city council to be able to travel to other cities to do other missions without being inspected, which takes more time by checking from the city guards.

Mariel looked at the scene of herself being the champion of the first-year swordsmanship class of the quadruplet sports event and she felt very excited. She wanted to be a representative for the first-year swordsmen, so she planned the training schedule that was more than twice per day which happened in her mind.

"Alright, today I'll have to practice with the other people even more often than before." Mariel said after writing out the practice schedule for each hour in the afternoon. As for Beatrix, she chose to compete in the first-year mage class as well.

"Mania will be there to support both of you. During this time, I will focus on practicing at the simulation room at first." Mania said.

"Thank you. After the quadruplet sports event is over, we can come back together and practice again." Mariel said.

"About the competition for being number 1 in the magician class for 1st year student. I definitely won't give it to anyone." Beatrix said with confidence.

In the afternoon, Mariel immediately went to the Swordsman Club and trained with the others, including the second year and third-year seniors as well. Mariel's skills were ahead of the others in her 1st year, so that there was hardly anyone else who could be her opponent.

"Let's practice with me and the others." Senior Jack said as he turned to look at his fellow swordsmen who were praising her skills.

"Thank you very much for your helping." Mariel responded with a smile.

Although they aren't as skilled as the cloned Mariel, at least Mariel learned the different sword skills of each of seniors. Any of their moves that looked interesting, Mariel would often memorize and practice alone to make herself even stronger than everyone.

"Thank you very much for your advice today. Senior Jack and everyone." Mariel said, bowing with respect.

"No problem, let's practice together again. My lovely Mariel." Senior Jack said.

As the second year and third-year seniors left the training field, a group of first year male students from another room suddenly approached Mariel who was putting some of her belongings into a bag.

"Can we talk to you for a minute? Mariel." a large male student asked.

"Ok, what is it?" Mariel asked curiously.

"You'd better give up for the selection to compete as first-year representatives in this quadruplet sports event." the large student said.

"Never! Why do I have to give up on this? If you guys want to be a representative, you must compete it!" Mariel answered with angrily expression.

"The swordman class is only for male students. In fact, you should probably apply to the magician class because normally all the female students compete in that class." another male student in the group said with dissatisfaction.

"So what? Being a woman makes you guys lose the opportunity to be represented? Whoever is stronger can be the representative of our school. If you have doubts about my abilities, come and test me!" Mariel challenged.

"Then we'll show you." The large male student accepted the challenge and summoned a large sword for fighting.

"I warned you!" Mariel said with a smile.

Mariel casts a dragon slayer sword and fights with the other with all her might. It only took a short time to be able to knock down the opponent.

The sound of blood coughing out from the large male student who collapsed to the ground because of Mariel's merciless attack.

"No matter what, we will definitely not give the position of representative to you! Let's do it! people" shouted a large male student, ordering his friends to gather around Mariel.

"Are you going to gang up on me? I'm scared." Marielle acted frightened with a few tears flowing down her face.

"Don't be acting like that. You'll see what real fight!" another male student said. Then, a group of more than 10 male students immediately attacked Mariel but it didn't frighten her at all.

"This isn't even half of what I trained with the cloned of me, you silly! " Mariel said, showing a terrifying smile.

Scorching, scorching, scorching!!!!

Within a short period of time, 10 male students were all crouching on the ground with wounds all over their bodies. As for Mariel, she stood in the center of the arena with a brave expression without any worries on her face.

"We haven't given up yet!" the large male student said as he drank the recovery potion that he had brought with him which other people did the same as him.

"You even brought a potion to fight against me. I really respect for this." Mariel teased.

"We used new tactics to conquer you!" A large male student ordered. Then everyone chanted some kind of magic. This caused a small magic formation to cover them all inside. As a result of this strategy, Mariel felt that her own body was not responding well to her movements. Plus, her magic power is quite hard to cast too.

"I've never seen this kind of magic before. What is this?" Mariel asked curiously. But before she could get an answer, the 10 male students slammed countless fire and ice magic swords at her, and it caused her to have to resist with all her strength until she could barely respond to fight back.

In front of everyone, Mariel had wounds all over her body and her clothes were torn in several places, revealing a mesmerizing body which making all male students to look at her.

"Looking at my body for a long time, I have to charged you guys." Mariel said with a fierce look in her eyes.

"After being injured like this, do you still dare to talk?" a male student in the group aggravated.

"An ant bites me hurt even more than this." Mariel said, using healing magic to heal herself until her body returned to normal. The other students were shocked as this was the first time they had ever seen Mariel use this skill.

"Hey! Is there any swordsman who can use healing magic skill?" a male student said in surprise.

"There's one right here." Mariel replied, pointing at herself.

"Are you still going to answer us like this?" another male student said angrily.

"Alright, now I'm going to have to be serious with you guys!" Mariel said, slowly closing her eyes.

Suddenly, the atmosphere around all the male students began to feel uncomfortable. Darkness slowly enveloped this magic formation with soft laughter sounding out around everyone.

"Who, who is laughing?" The male students looked around for the source of the laughter.

"Are you afraid? My dear." Mariel said in a mocking tone.

"Who said...WHAT!!!" A large male student cried out in extreme shock. As for the others, their legs trembled at the sight in front of them.

Mariel summons the Fire Dragon God: Magmatrion from the Dragon Slayer Sword. The Dragon God's eyes looked at the male students as if it were watching new beginner of warriors who dared to fight against legendary gods.

"You guys are very lucky for being able to see one of my special moves. I'll definitely repay you, Lol." Marie said with a terrifying laugh.

"Help me." a male student said.

"Go, Magmatrion!" Mariel said, raised the Dragon Slayer Sword in the sky and pointed at the group of male students.

Magmatrion attacked towards the male students, causing them to scatter. The flames that spewed out from Magmatrion's mouth combined with Mariel's fire magic sword song, caused the male students to be so injured that they didn't even bother to fight. They all retreated from the field and didn't want to return to fight again.

"Sorry to bother you." Mariel said, bowing to Magmatrion.

"Don't mention it. It's good for me to get some exercise." Magmatrion said and disappeared.

The sound of footsteps entering the arena. When Mariel turned to look, she didn't expect it to be this person.

"Yujin!!!" Mariel exclaimed in surprise.

That's right, the first-year male students in Class 2 who had team-up with her together to take down the one-eyed Orc Giant in the market. He was approaching with a shield and a Great sword in his hand as if he had some purpose.

"I saw it with my own eyes and felt excited. Let's have a fight, shall we?" Yujin said.

"As your wish!" Mariel replied with a smile.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The swords clashed violently several times.

Mariel felt like she had met a worthy opponent as he defended strongly and countered effectively. Yujin's skills were extraordinary, and his fighting strategies were like Mariel's. Each side took turns attacking and defending fiercely, and no one attacked more than 2 turns to the other side.

"It's as if we've known this person for a long time. Who exactly is he?" Mariel thought to herself.

"The skill is truly extraordinary. It is matching to be the next owner of the legendary god Victor's Dragon Slayer Sword." Yujin said.

"Take it!" Mariel slammed the power of her ice magic sword at the other person's shield, causing it to shake.

But Yujin returned his sword, causing Mariel to quickly return to a defensive stance, unable to continue her offensive.

"Excellent, it must be like this. Blocked my continuous attacks!" Mariel said.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

"Here I come!" Mariel said as she concentrated her energy on the Dragon Slayer Sword, then she grabbed it with both hands and slammed into Yujin's shield, causing a sound that reverberated throughout the area.

"Wow! You're like a man. Your strength is not inferior to any other man's." Yujin praised.

"Too much praise, I'm just a normal girl." Mariel said with a smile.

"The fight was flawless, calm and not easily defeated. Plus, her smile really reminded me of an old friend from the past world." Yujin said.

"What?" Mariel seemed to stumble upon these words.

Clang!

Yujin returned the blow with his sword, but Mariel was able to defend in time. The sound of the two swords colliding with each other made a loud noise and their eyes stared at each other as if searching for something inside the other.

"Wow! That's nice! After this fight, I really want to invite you to go have a drink together. It looks like we have some similarities." Yujin asked.

"Acting like you just had your heart broken." Mariel replied without thinking.

"What!!!" Yujin's eyes widened when he heard Mariel say this.

"What is it?" Mariel asked curiously.

"Chai?" Yujin said unconsciously because the words he said a moment ago made him think of scenes from the past world. The place where he and Chai went to drink together before having an accident and causing death on the way home.

Mariel also remembered one person and exclaimed in surprise.

"King???"
