The Romanos had an entire wing in the hospital reserved just for them. In fact, underneath the underneath, they owned the entire. But as with most of their acquisitions you had to be looking really hard to realize that. Gio had mentioned it once, and Elle had been suitably awed, but she had never thought of it again.
With Benji leading her to Gio's room, the hallways lined with guards, the memory had flitted briefly into her mind. A healthy, unharmed Gio telling her of how he had broken his arm as a child and had all the doctors giving him piggyback rides. But the memory did not last, it could not. Not when she finally made it into Gio's room and saw him.
