He was a large man, to say the least.
In front of him kneeled the man whom Neil scared away.
Obviously, he had reported what he had seen in the inn.
"That's right, boss. He was no doubt a mage, but he wasn't that strong. He only took us by surprise with his lightning element. He also said that our gang was made up of fools with no brawn and no brain." He reported and added a few things that will surely not let Neil get away.
"Is that so..." The bald boss snickered and scratched his chin.
"He also beat up two of our men and then..." The man dragged his words. The boss tapped his fingers on his armrest two times.
He immediately flinched unconsciously and answered, "I think he and the girl you ordered us to kidnap from the inn knew each other and seemed to even have some kind of relationship..."
Silence befell the room. The big man stopped his finger from moving and slowly revealed a smile.
"Now that can't be...our noble guest is very interested in that girl, we can't have some punk mage go around and butt in."
"Yess..yess that is why we can't let him roam around freely, we have to show him who's the overlord in this area, hehehe." A shrewd smile could barely be hidden from the surrounding darkness.
It seems that Neil was about to face some serious consequences for his earlier actions.
However, they did not know that currently, a commotion was ongoing on the ground floor further below their own.

"Arrkk-who are yo-!" A man tried to speak to the person who suddenly intruded upon their base. However, his words were cut off as the only thing that he saw right before fainting was a fist crackling with lightning.
Booom!
He was thrown back, flying till his back ruthlessly hit the wall. His body slid down the wall and fainted on the spot.
Another man who witnessed this scene was shaken, but he tried to remain firm, "Yo-you, do you know who we are?!"
The intruder merely gave him a glance of contempt. The man gulped in fear.
"Tr-try anything funny, and the boss will make your life a living hell." He tried to stand his ground. However, his shaking voice betrayed what he was aiming to do.
The intruder was not scared at all and instead remained collected.
There was this air of chillness around him capable of striking a very frightening fear in any humans heart.
Contrary to what the man wanted, the intruder only became even more harsh.
"Call your boss here, I have some business regarding his actions."

After beating the shit out of the yellow-teethed dude, he finally spilled out where their base was situated.
Turns out, it was just an infamous brothel relatively close to the inn.
After asking around to some people, I managed to locate their base. It seemed that they were a very infamous bunch as after I asked where their base was, the people paled and got scared.
Nonetheless, I arrived at the brothel.
It was a very big building, and it was much bigger on the inside.
I noticed that it seemed like the brothel was closed as the doors were shut as well as the windows, I didn't know whether it was because it was day or because of some other reason, still, I didn't give a shit.
Blasting through the door, I was greeted by a large lobby.
Lightning flashed by my eyes.
I intended to cause a ruckus and finish it all at once by taking down their boss. Making a mess of their ground floor should do the trick right?

"Hmmm??? Who could this fool be?"
A man clad in loose robes came out the hall.
I looked at the man and my nose twitched, he smelled of something putred. I didn't like it one bit.
The man's chest was almost revealed as his loose robe looked like it had just been put on in a hurry, as if he was in the middle of something but went to check out what was happening.
My eyes narrowed as I sensed mana from the man.
He was a mage!
It was my first time sensing mana from another person. It was different from what I expected, from the unknown man, I could sense his mana clearly, it was hot and burning, as if fire was burning in his chest instead of a human heart.
Behind the man, another figure came out.
It was a woman - Gianna.
Gianna was wearing the modest clothes of a mundane human, with a reserved brown dress. However, the dress was a bit stretched out, there were bruises in her cheeks as well as marks on her wrist, it was clear that she was being abused.
"Wh-why are you here?" She asked, her voice trembling. Tears were forming in her eyes, the feelings she was holding was let out.
She did not expect for the man to come after the shameful thing she did and how he had clearly rejected the act.
Her heart tightened.
"You-! You know him?!" The man asked, his voice seething with anger. He turned his eyes to the side, towards Gianna with very menacing intent.
Gianna flinched as her face became pale as paper.
"N-no...I-I just-" She tried to say something but she was quickly interrupted by a harsh slap in the face by the man.
An evident red palm mark got planted on her cheeks, it was severe bruise for a mundane human.
