A stinging pain was felt by Gianna, the force of the slap almost throwing her off. She touched her cheek and felt the burning and stinging pain of the vicious slap.
Her face winced in pain.

Lightning crackled.
In retaliation, flames manifested and engulfed the arrow made of purple lightning.
A small explosion sounded but nothing of the sort happened. The flames dispersed right after.
"How rude, truly uneducated commoner brats." The man turned his head back to me, licking his lips as if enjoying the situation.
"I'll take care of you later girl, I'll have my fun with you in time. I'd love to see that pitiful face of yours in bed too heheh." The man's eyes showed a sadistic light after taking a quick glance at Giannas crying face.
"As for you, commoner. It seems you are itching to get your ass handed in. I don't know how a commoner like you, looking so young as well to have reached this level with your lowly status, but you're no match for me."
Balls of fire manifested around the man.
Fire element, I exclaimed.
They shot towards me, there were four of such fire balls the size of a childs head. The man didn't seem to care if the brothel went up to flames.
I scoffed and summoned my Lightnig Blade.
Brandishing it, it hissed with deadly sharpness.
I slashed the first fireball into pieces, it burst into flames and I was hit with them.
Even though I received the blunt of the firepower after cutting it to pieces, it's power had decreased and it was enough that not even a scratch landed on me thanks to nightshade - the cloak that had elemental resistance I got at the Labyrinth.
There were three more fire balls and like the first one, they all got cut into many pieces like how easy it was to cut apples with a sharp knife.
They all burst into flames but none was able to penetrate into the layer of protection the cloak provided me.
"That's quite impressive, for a commoner. But lets end this, you'll pay for interrupting my pleasure. " Showing a vicious smile, the man raised his hands up and conjured a wide ring of fire.
Like a saucer, he threw it at me once again.
"Sirr! Watch out!!" Gianna screamed to the top of her lungs.
It was her first time seeing mages battle each other, it was destructive to say the least. Wind blew and a suffocating pressure was weighing down on her as a mundane human.
Even I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw the ring of fire. It was scorching hot and I could feel my skin burning in heat.
It was getting closer. Clearly, I couldn't apply what I did to the fire balls to this massive spell, if I tried cutting it down, which was an act I doubted I could even do, it would have probably exploded and I don't believe I would escape unscathed like I did against the fireballs.
Clutching the lightning sword tight, the sound of thunderclap boomed.
I disappeared leaving only a few sparks of purple lightning. The ring of fire hit the entrance and destroyed it in an instance, fire spread and engulfed the surroundings.
The spell was very destructive.
I didn't show any signs of weakness and appeared right infront of the man, with wide eyes, I slashed the lightnig sword spell at him, intending to cut an arm at least.
However, despite the previous show of opening, the man was able to quickly conjure up a defensive spell. Flames burst forth to form a wall separating my sword and his body.
Still, it lacked in form and my lightning sword spell managed to breakthrough it and even get a slash at the mans shoulder.
"Aaarhhh!" The man took a few steps back whilst he clutched his bleeding shoulder.
Stinging pain was sent throughout his body.
He gnashed his teeth and laid his red eyes at me.
"You fcker!! You're gonna regret this, I am a noble, you're nothing but a commoner! I can order for people to take you down and no one would give a fck if a commoner vanished from the world!!" He screamed hysterically, the smug face and ruthless smile he had always on his face disappeared.
His chest heaved up and down and sweat was starting to form from his forehead.
He was sure that spell should have ended the kids life, it was a very destructive spell that costed him a fortune to buy. It should have burned him to crisp yet he was alive and unscathed.
He managed to get away despite the fact that the spell was very wide-ranged!
It was unbelievable for a commoner!!
He gnashed his teeth hard till his gums bled.
In a moment of complacency, because ofthe fact that he was already assured of the kids death, he had let his guard down. Little did he expect that Neil still had his Thunder Clap spell as countermeasures for such situation.
Because of that, even though he still managed to set up a defensive spell, but because it was in the rush, it lacked form and solidity.
Neil managed to break it with little to no effort.
