Chapter 77 - Seventy- six. A bad dream

Seventy- six. A bad dream

The flight to Cee country landed at half past five in the morning. Camille was a little drowsy due to the tiredness from the long hours of flying.

She heard the pilot's voice announce their arrival and immediately she readied herself to alight the plane. Finally, the flight pulled to a halt when it reached the tarmac and the excitement on the faces of the passengers were no joke. They were all excited to get off. However, Camille was different. Her face was filled with sobriety the moment the flight landed. Her alertness increased because she knew that this was a dangerous plan. She couldn't be so excited and blow her cover and she couldn't be too serious. At that moment, she remembered what Monalissa had said. 'You don't want to have your cover blown. You're going to be Elena for a week so'. That was a wakeup call for her and immediately she collected her emotions which were all over the place, preparing to be Elena.

When she alighted, she pulled her box towards the taxi area and waited for a taxi to pull-up. While she did that, she placed her index finger on the earpod that was in her right ear to make her arrival known.

"I already arrived", she said.

Cobra and Kim were the ones who received the call. Kim gave a side smile when he heard that.

"Alright", Kim replied. "Inform us when you reach the Mint house. Also, don't forget to call Elijah and tell him of your arrival", Kim didn't forget to remind her about it.

"Yes", she said and hung up.

A male fella stood in front of her while waiting for her to finish her call.

"Miss Elena?", he asked, his voice an accent of the Cee country.

Camille got herself together. "Yes", she said with a smile she imagined that Elena would pull if she was here.

The man nodded. "Miss Lakewoods is waiting you", he said and looked towards the car that was opposite her.

Camille gave a start. What the... The president's daughter is here to pick me? What went wrong?

Camille smiled at the man. "Okay. Lead the way", she said.

When they got to the car, Hera was feeding herself some chips. She was a plump young lady and looked to be in her middle twenties. The moment Camille entered the car, she greeted her as though they have met before.

"Hey there Hera", she said playfully.

Hera looked at her and gave a dice smirk. "Hera? Quit your drama. We're not that close", she pointed out.

Camille nearly puked. Who said she wanted to be friends with you anyways? It was all thanks to her damned job that she's here! Camille screamed at the young lady in her mind. She swallowed and took in a deep breath to hold her emotions in check.

"So, what did you say you're here for?", Hera asked, her voice laced with tints of impatience.

Camille wanted to answer right away but immediately held back. She needed to work from Elena's angle. Elena... wouldn't answer immediately but slur around and try to make the girl comfortable with her.

"Oh come on Hera. You're just too quick. Aren't you gonna offer this fella an accomodation and something to eat? I puked thrice on that damned plane thanks to their shitty food", Camille complained her face looking torn and unhappy. She even feigned a yawn to make things rhyme.

Hera eyed her. "Alright. But you have to be very careful. My parents can be strict with visitors. You can only leave your room when I tell you to", Hera stated.

"Yes your highness", Camille teased. "As long as there's food to it, this pretty fella doesn't mind being your servant", she said.

"Foodie", Hera muttered under her breath with a slight chuckle which didn't go unnoticed by Camille. She gave herself a thumbs up for her first phase of the job done.

The first thing Ezekiel thought of doing the moment he woke up was to see the pretty face if his underling. His heart filled with sweetness, he walked to her room. On his way, the servants greeted him, and he nodded with a smile. He was thinking of freeing her from being a worker at the factory and from being his slave. He wanted to give her an appropriate work and have her by his side. He wanted her. Everything about her. With this thought in mind, he imagined just how happy she would be when she received the goodnews. Then he squeaked the doorknob open. Surprisingly, it was open. It was never open. She always, was the one who came to open the door for him. An omnious feeling rose in his heart but he squelched it down. Then he walked in. The first place his eyes went to was the bed... there was no sign of her. He walked to the bathroom. It was empty. He checked her wardrobe as well. There was nothing there. He noticed a paper lying on the bed. He went closer and picked it up. It read:

I left. There's no point staying with you any longer. I hate you. And u know you hate me as well. Whatever happened between us was just a moment. And don't forget, I killed your brother. There's no need to keep me with you. I changed sides.

Ezekiel clenched the paper into a rough roll, his face twisting in anger. Walker. He went out of the room and walked back to his study. He whipped out his cellphone and immediately dialed Kim. The latter answered in a span of seconds.

"Yes Boss",

"Rush to the gardens", Ezekiel ordered.

"Yes Boss", Kim replied and hung up.

"Walker, you finally grew fangs.... I see", he muttered.

In a part of the house, the maid Daya stood at a corner while cleaning, her body trembling.

Monalissa's eyes finally opened after quality hours of sleeping. She recounted the bad dream she had and heaved a deep sigh of relief. Then she looked around the room. It looked... different. Did her master change the decor at night? She blushed a little when she thought of that possibility. She stood from her bed and walked to the window. Opening it, the sunlight was let in and its golden rays illuminated the whole room. Monalissa looked outside. It didn't look like the gardens. Not at all. Her heart turned cold. What in heaven's name was going on? Trying to confirm her suspicions, she ran to her door inorder for her to open it but...it was locked up. Then, it dawned on her. She has been kidnapped. The dream she had finally came to her. "It wasn't just a bad dream", she muttered. "It's real", she said.
