I wake up the next day to a relentless pounding in my head. The wounds have healed, but the battle's toll still lingers. I drag myself out of bed, wincing at the pain and the memories that come rushing back.
I push aside these thoughts and focus on my breakfast set on the table - apples, bread and cheese, and a cup of steaming coffee. Today will be a day of rest, I decide, and perhaps some answers.
As I navigate through the halls of my castle, I greet Thanatos and Persephone gathered in the throne room. Their faces brighten upon seeing me, but their concern is apparent.
"Hades, you look better today…" Thanatos begins cautiously.
"You should rest more," Persephone interjects before he can finish.
"Perhaps," I reply with a small smile. "But first, I need your help."
I proceed to tell them about the mysterious amulet and its even more puzzling message. Their reactions turn from puzzled to concerned as they listen to my story.
