Chapter 2 - Get Pregnant.

Samantha continued to pour the water from the tap on her face, she had been on it for over thirty minutes.

The words her mother told her replayed in her mind and she could feel the headache intensifying again, so she bent down and continued pouring the water on her face.

She wished that the water would take her to another world where she could forget about everything and have peace.

She was still lost in her thoughts when a young girl dressed in the hospital uniform which made her easily identifiable as one of the patients, came out from one of the toilets.

"Hey, if your body is itching you, then go home and take a shower

You have been at this for so long.

This is a hospital, go to see one of the doctors if something is wrong with you" the girl said while rinsing her hand in another of the taps at the same time adjusting her hair.

Samantha only watched her talk and when the girl stopped talking, she continued from where she stopped.

When the young girl noticed that the person she was trying to advise was back to what she was doing, she shook her head and uttered something which Samantha thought sounded like "crazy" Samantha chuckled at the thought of the girl calling her crazy. She was indeed going crazy, and nobody really cared.

She began to replay the conversation she had with her mother earlier.

"Mum, are you expecting me to do that?" This time, she spoke softly in a low voice, wiping the tears off her face so she could see her mother's face clearly.

"There is really nothing there actually, you are just doing it to keep the marriage going

You both will benefit from it, so why are you hesitating".

Her mother said while wiping the tears off the face of her daughter. Samantha was frozen in place.

Annie, Samantha's mum, knew, fully well, that her daughter was touched by her decision to support Reid, but she had to do so to make sure their family survived.

"The company is doing better these days, thanks to Reid. Currently, he is carrying out a project that will bring a lot of money if it is successful, so we must do as he says.

We cannot be ungrateful for his kind act of helping our family crumbling company all this while."

Samantha's mother continued wiping off the tears that never seemed to stop flowing on her daughter's cheeks.

******

Samantha looked at her face in the mirror, immediately regretting crying for so long as her eyes had become swollen making her look so ugly.

She knew that Reid was up to no good with her family company.

After her father died, the company threatened to go under almost immediately. But with the swift action of Reid and his family, the company was saved.

Samantha couldn't really blame her mother for her decision back then. Her mother, who was still a young fresh widow with children, had insecurities and when even the deadliest person disguises himself as a saviour, she was sure to feel relieved and accept his help.

To add to her joy over her newly found saviour, her daughter had married him. With this, she was sure to keep on receiving their help.

But Samantha had hated it all, she regretted being fooled into marrying him due to the fake care and love he had showered her then, which is obvious as all of them ceased the moment he had successfully married her.

She looked at the ticket her mum gave her.

It was a ticket to an expensive bar, obviously they didn't want the father of the child she would give to them to be some sort of jinx or gypsy.

She stared at it for a long time and picked it up, forcing it into her handbag, wiped her face with a face towel then left the toilet.

The smell of strong alcohol immediately repulsed Samantha from taking any step further, but she continued moving, it was too late to turn back.

She was dressed in a very revealing golden dress that was handless which made her boob pop out as if it were going to fall.

Her thighs were very visible as the dress length made Samantha doubt that the dress was made for someone her age.

Her blonde hair which Samantha had doubted could still ever look beautiful was stealing the show in being the most attractive thing in her body.

She was quite a slay queen back in the days, losing herself to dancing in places like this. And her ability to draw attention anywhere she goes with her strikingly beautiful appearance.

She stood where she was and immediately sighted the bar, she had never been good at drinking because she did not like what she became anytime she was drunk.

But tonight she was going to get drunk, she would rather not do what she came to do awake.

She moved straight to the bar she had sighted earlier, as she was going to the bar she noticed the eyes staring at her and how they increased in number with each step she took. She knew she had an attractive figure, but due to years of lost dignity, she didn't know that someone could still find her attractive.

******

Samantha has been sitting down fiddling with one bottle of wine which she hasn't finished for over 4 hours.

She noticed the strange look the bartender was giving her occasionally, but she couldn't care less.

She knew he was surprised at the number of men she had turned down throughout the time she had stayed there.

She was also worried, she had to choose one quickly to get over this.

Was she not drunk enough?

She was still lost in her thoughts when her attention was drawn by a man who sat down not too far from her.

She couldn't help but stare shamelessly alongside the other girls in the bar.

His presence drew so much attention.

She looked at his black hair, so smooth and attractive. So black and yet so bright.

She moved on to his jawline, and wondered if it could cut her hand off.

He was too wonderful to exist, as if he were brought out of a fantasy and made to exist.

She was still staring at him, when he turned to lock eyes with her.

This startled Samantha greatly that she didn't know when she knocked over the bottles of wine the bartender had dropped near her.

She was in a tough spot now, she brought some money with her, but she was not sure if it could afford all those bottles she had broken.

She wasn't prepared to spend so much, and she didn't come with her phone, as she felt no need to do so.

She stared meaninglessly at the mess in front of her, confused about how to react at that moment.

As she was still thinking of what she would do, one of the workers came to clean where she was, so she had to move a bit closer to where the man whom she had gaped at was.

She was so embarrassed that as she stepped aside so they could clean it, she tried her best to avoid looking at him.

She was sure the man knew this happened because of her earlier act of staring at him pervertedly.

She called onto the bartender and wondered why he had not billed her for the drinks she ruined.

"How much is it for all of them", Samantha said, fearing the huge amount he would call and the worst-case scenario when she would not be able to pay.

But the reply the bartender gave her confused her greatly.

"Please, don't bother, it has been paid"

Samantha frowned immediately she heard this, Who would pay for her,

Why would that person do that.

She could feel her chest tighten when she imagined that the person must have had his eyes on her since.

Maybe it was one of the men who she had refused earlier, he must be an old man who cannot control himself.

As Amanda's mind trailed from one thought to another, she was cut short by the bartender who wondered why she had a frown on her face.

He had noticed her showing interest in the same man earlier on and thought that she would same man earlier and thought that she would be glad to know that he was showing interest in her too.

"Hey, you see that man over there" ,he quickly. added.

"He is the one"

the bartender pointed at the man whom she had been so attracted to earlier and quietly walked away.

Samantha could feel her heart beat so fast, she wondered whether he was attracted to her too.

For the fact that he saved her from a huge problem, he must be a nice man.

She kept on wondering to herself, trying her best to conceal the smile which was starting to form on her lips.

She started to adjust her dress, after all she must be grateful. Not only that, but she would go and thank him and get to know him more.

She blushed at this thought.

As she moved, she felt her legs become wobbly as she tried to fight the shyness she had developed seconds ago.

She reached where he was and touched him slightly at his back, for him to turn around. "Please excuse can you spare me a moment?"

The man who Samantha was talking to, turned to face her and Amanda blushed when she could feel him staring at her.

But the moment Samantha set her eyes on his face, all the colour drained from her face as she stood there petrified.
