Chapter 18 Unexpected Deport
Out there in the open expanse of water, where Alden's gaze was locked and Kreed's eyes drawn was a simple boat.
It was several times larger than the grape and looked more like a ship than a boat. The closet vessel of similarities that Kreed had seen was that of vip vessel used to carry people to and from apostle island.
But that wasn't the strange part. The vessel looked very normal except for a few minor inconsistencies. The most obvious being the splatter of red murky blood that stained it's sides. The blood covered most of the vessels surface dying it a disgusting shade of red.
As the grape came closer more and more irregularities popped up.
"This is quite strange. I've never seen this before." Said Alden.
Well who had? Kreed and Alden were completely perplexed.
There were many questions arising in Kreed's mind some more vital than others.
Why was there a random ship there? Why was there blood? What was responsible for that? Was there people on the boat? Who did the blood belong to?
All the questions were valid ones some more relevant than others. But there was one at the top of Kreed's mind that didn't seem to go away?
Why are we going there? Why are we heading towards the boat? Why? Should we?
Kreed definitely knew the answer to that one. Every cell in his body was saying to run. His intuition was blasting with panic. The answer was obvious, flee. So why was Alden heading towards it?
Suddenly feeling the grape slow down Kreed flinched. They were about 50 meters from the vessel. And now dread was overwhelming him.
Looking at Alden Kreed coughed.
The crazy smile that was plastered on his face had now grown. What is this Bastard smiling about? Can't he tell that were in trouble?
As if reading his mind Alden said.
"Kreed, things could get a bit difficult from here on out. Look at the water surrounding the ship.
Do you notice anything off?"
After looking at it for a while Kreed replied.
"Yes, it's not moving."
Indeed the water that surrounded the vessel was completely still not a wave littering it's surface.
Why was that? Did some harrowing creature or existence affect the area around the ship?
"Exactly k. Now there could be several reasons for this but the most likely one is that of a deport appearing. Most are know to affect the world around it strangely."
A deport? Kreed thought. Where had he heard of that before? Yes that's right. After reading the countless books stored on apostle's island he had learned about deports.
They were simple occurrences that would randomly appear through out the world allowing for the harrowing creatures of asterion mighty vault to be let loose and appear on Sihe Rimaz.
Most of the Deports that appeared were of the lower rank with a few high ranking ones here and there. The way it worked was quite simple. After it brought the creatures to the world it would continue to do so until it was closed, or destroyed. This method allowed for clans and rankers to capitalize on the opportunity to gain strength, relics and knowledge from the creatures they fought. And so appearing deports were monitored closely and in great detail.
"The entire reason I came out here was to close the deport that had brought the dark lyre's here. However I didn't know there was a second deport."
Alden's eyebrow twitched slightly before he continued.
"This strange fact can mean three things. Either the deport has just opened and the divine energy given away by it, hasn't been registered in the fissure scanners. The amount of divine energy given of is way to low to be recognized.
Or the rank of deport is so high that it's able to conceal it's divine energy. "
Kreed thought about it for a while before asking.
"Am guessing that the second option is the best one."
"Ohh not at all. Am hoping it's a high ranking deport. Am totally itching for a fight. "
Replied Alden
"Ha is that Soo? Are all top rankers this crazy?"
"Don't worry k. I have already promised to keep you safe."
Saying that Alden summoned a simple metal blade with wooden handle wrapped in leather. It looked to be around two feet long it's blade gleaming satisfyingly in the morning sun.
Staring at it Kreed's mind which was overrunned with thoughts of fleeing, was caught and soothe by a calm emotion.
Handing the blade to Kreed Alden said.
"Listen k, I need you to stay close behind me and keep your eyes open. Things could get a bit rough around deports. "
Following that the blade that Alden had handed to him suddenly dissolved turning into a simple wisp of light that entered Kreed's body.
Suddenly feeling it enter his soul Kreed was brought back to reality by the sounding of asterion.
["You have obtained a relic, Beggars Rake"]
Summoning the runes as quickly as possible he read.

The challenge was simple. Bring me a yellow orchid within a month, said the king.
You can use any method necessary. The first to bring me my request will receive the greatest part of my fortune, the second to bring me my request, would receive as much compensation to support them for many generations. However if you bring me my request last, you will not receive any portion of my fortune.
After one day the first son brought a yellow orchid to his father. The second son brought in a yellow orchid on the second day and the third son on the third. Keeping his promise the king separated his fortune as mentioned. But then he asked his sons a simple question. Tell me he said how did you get those orchids? The first son replied. Father you know that I am a man of high status. And so I ordered my fellow soldiers to help me find a yellow orchid. Hearing this the king smiled. that's wonderful my son. You have not only earned my fortune but proven you ability to lead in my stead. The second son replied. Father I know you are a man of many riddles, and so I decided to solve this one in a simple but interesting way. I picked a white orchid from your beautiful garden and I painted it yellow. Hearing this the king laughed even louder. That's wonderful my child, you continue to prove that you are a smart and innovative man. I am proud to call myself your father.
The third son replied. Oh father I know that you are a great and wise man. You see after I received the challenge I hired an assistant to purchase the orchid. After hearing this the king laughed even louder. Oh my child, you truly are something special. You didn't even bother looking for the orchid yourself or think of a way to find it yourself. Instead you hired someone to do it for you, did the rewards I offered not suit your standards? That is the greatest feat of laziness I have ever experienced. After saying this the king banished the third son to the outskirts of the city.
