Christine ran down the aisle, "Don't get married Mommy." She ran as fast as she could.
"Christine?" Annie gaped in shock.
Shawn was surprised, "I thought she was dead." He muttered frustrated.
Christine tripped and fell.
"My child!" Annie left Shawn standing at the altar.
She hurried to where Christine fell, struggling with her wedding dress.
"Christine, my child." She knelt on the floor and picked her up.
"Mommy, you can't get married to him." Christine said.
Annie touched her face and held it, her heart was racing and her hands trembling.
"Christine, you're alive?!" She touched her hair and gently caressed it, "How? I mean you survived the bomb blast?! Oh my God." She covered her mouth with both hands.
Mr. Alan Roger stood up confused.
"What's the meaning of this Annie? Shawn is at the altar!" He almost yelled.
Robert too was shocked to the core, Christine was alive?
Annie looked at him and stood up.
"Please sir, just let me talk to my daughter, please, I'm seeing her after so long." Her voice was choked.
"This is not supposed to be Annie, you can't leave your future husband standing here." Shawn said, frustration welling up in him.
Mariah walked up to her
"Annie what are you doing? Go back to the altar. The media is here." She whispered.
"Please Mrs. Roger. Just grant me this request and I won't ask for anything else. I just want to talk to my daughter after so..."
"Enough of this Annie." Shawn grabbed her arm and she gasped.
"You're getting married to me and that's final." He pulled her towards the altar.
"Leave my Mommy alone." Christine ran after them but Robert held her back.
"Please Christine come with me." He pulled her back.
"Uncle Robert pleas that man to leave her alone." She began to cry.
"Shawn please let me go talk to my daughter!" She screamed.
"Right after I marry you."
She released his hold on her and knelt down in front of him, "Shawn I beg you, please let me talk to her. I want to unite with my child after so long. Please." She cried.
"You're getting married to me right now, nothing else matters." He pulled her up and took her to the altar.
"Priest c'mon pronounce us husband and wife. C'mon, do it!" He yelled.
"You let go of her right now!"
He turned to look at who said that.
Christian walked briskly but steadily to the altar.
There were loud murmurs from the congregation.
"Shawn let go of her." He stated calmly.
"Christian?" Annie gasped.
Christian looked at her, "I'm here now. He said softly.
Shawn pulled a pistol from his pocket and pointed it at Christian, "Don't you dare come closer."
"Christian!" Annie screamed.
"Keep quiet!" Shawn yelled at her, "Pronounce us husband and wife!" He faced the priest.
"But... But this man seems to have an objection against this wedding." He tried to explain.
"I don't care! Pronounce us husband and wife you god-damned priest!"
There were loud gasps from the congregation.
Christian snatched the pistol from him and tossed it on the ground.
Shawn was completely red with anger. He released his hold from Annie and she fell.
Christian rushed to where she was, "Annie!"
Christine released Robert's hold and ran to the altar.
Shawn quickly picked his pistol. Christine has reached the altar just to meet her mother but Shawn grabbed her and pointed the pistol at her.
"Christine no!" Annie screamed.
Christian turned to face them, "Listen man, drop the gun."
"Annie it's either you marry me or your daughter's brains will be blown off.
"Lemme go!" Christine struggled.
"Shawn please let her go. I'll marry you but please let her go." She cried.
"Then go the altar already!"
Trembling, she stood up and walked towards the altar.
Fearful murmurs came from the congregation, the whole atmosphere was tensed.
He signaled Nathan to come hold Christine to which he complied.
He walked furiously to the altar, "C'mon pronounce us husband and wife." He said again to the priest.
"I'm sorry Mr. Roger but I can't bless this union. It's not just right." He shook his head.
"You won't bless this marriage? Alright then." He shot the priest in his head.
"Shawn!" Mariah screamed.
Christian eyes widened.
"Shawn what did you do?!" Nathan screamed.
"If we ain't getting married in church, we will definitely get married in court!" He grabbed Annie's hand and pulled her along with him.
"Son what has gotten into you?" Alan asked still in shock from what Shawn did.
"Leave me alone Dad, don't interfere." He kept on pulling Annie.
Christian angrily walked up to him, pulled him back and punched his face. Shawn took out his pistol, ready to shoot him.
Annie ran and stood in front of Christian, "Shawn please don't shoot him." She begged.
"Get out of the way Annie."
Christian gently whiskey to her, "I'll be fine, nothing will happen to me okay?" He assured her.
Annie didn't listen to him, "Please Shawn, I promise to do anything you ask of just please don't hurt anyone else." She begged with her hands folded.
Shawn looked at Christian with hatred, "Don't you ever come near me or my wife." He warned.
"Your wife?" He laughed sarcastically, "You're in no way connected to her."
"Are you the one connected to her huh?"
Mariah walked up to Shawn and slapped him.
"How dare you Shawn? You dare shoot a priest?!" She yelled.
He held his and squinted his eyes. He angrily pushed his her away but Christian had caught her just in time.
"How could you do that to an elder?"
He tried grabbing Annie but Christian stopped him before he could reach her.
"Christian you have to stay out of this!" He warned.
"You will not lay a hand on her." He said, dangerously calm.
Shawn was furious. He attempted to point the the pistol at him but Christian caught his hand and trued wrangling it from his hold but instead tossed it in the air.
Shawn pushed him and ran to get the pistol.
"You have crossed all your limits Christian Powers, you no longer have a right to live."
He pulled the trigger.
"Christian!"
There was the sound of gun shot.
Mariah lay on the ground in her pool of drizzling blood.
The pistol fell off Shawn's hands, "Mom?"
"Mariah!" Alan ran to her.
The whole church was thrown into confusion, even the media was too confused to keep on the track of events.
