The three of them had a meal, and after Chu Tian fed the Thundermark Snow Fox, they began preparing to leave the seventh mission area for the sixth mission area. They wanted to distance themselves from the Storm Legion as much as possible.
However, as they were about to leave the seventh mission area and enter the sixth, they unexpectedly ran into the Storm Legion.
Chu Tian's face darkened as he saw the Storm Legion's presence. "What a coincidence. Did you think we would be afraid just because you brought a mini-nuke? If you dare to lay a finger on us, I guarantee the Federation Inspection Team will come after you," Nuo Ta quickly stepped in front of Chu Tian and Hong Chang.
"And I guarantee that if you do anything to us, everyone here will have a very miserable ending," Nuo Ta's tone changed suddenly, and he produced the small, jet-black mini-nuke.
Seeing this, the Storm Legion's leader, Kierkes, gestured for his team to step aside and let Chu Tian's group pass. Chu Tian, Nuo Ta, and Hong Chang quickly left the scene.
"Chu Tian, I can tell you, they won't let go of the fact that you killed their members," Kierkes said as he departed. "No one can kill my people and live carefree."
"Captain, don't worry. The jamming device they promised will be delivered before sunset," a member in black combat gear assured Kierkes. "I don't think this Chu Tian is very pleased either. Just a D-rank talent calling himself a genius."
Chu Tian, however, was unaware that the Storm Legion was still holding a grudge against him. As they entered the sixth mission area, they encountered five Scorpion-Tailed Poison Wolves.
Even though Scorpion-Tailed Poison Wolves were solitary creatures, these five appeared together, likely due to a recent gathering of aggressive beasts.
Chu Tian didn't waste words. He extended his hand, and flames danced in his palm.
"Let's finish this quickly. They're all D-rank beasts, but be careful," Chu Tian said and waved his hand, creating a wall of fire that entrapped the wolves.
"Charge!" Nuo Ta shouted, and flames danced in his hands, forming a fiery longsword. He was surrounded by flames as he charged towards the five Scorpion-Tailed Poison Wolves.
Red Chang, though not as proficient as Nuo Ta, used fireballs to block their escape routes.
Chu Tian controlled the range of the fire wall, ready for any surprises.
Nuo Ta's combat skills were swift, and his footwork was exceptional, showing that he had some martial arts training, albeit not using the use of aura. True aura-based martial arts required a talent level of A or above and specialized training in talented warrior academies.
Red Chang might not have been as skilled as Nuo Ta in using her talent, but her footwork and positioning were mysterious. She could anticipate the wolves' attacks and respond with fireballs.
Chu Tian, on the other hand, watched over the fire wall's range to prevent any escape.
In just a short ten minutes, with the coordinated efforts of Nuo Ta and Red Chang, they managed to defeat the five Scorpion-Tailed Poison Wolves.
Chu Tian received a system notification, but he couldn't replicate their talents, only noting that the next system upgrade might bring changes.
"Unfortunately, they were only D-rank beasts. Let's divide them up," Nuo Ta said and handed two of the wolf corpses to Chu Tian. "You can have two as the captain."
Chu Tian didn't hesitate and threw the wolf corpses into his system space, gaining 40 talent points. Nuo Ta and Red Chang used special gloves and knives to dismantle the remaining wolf corpses.
