Chapter 45 - 45

Now, with over five million in his hands, Chu Tian had plans to buy a house for his family. After all, he wouldn't use the money himself, as his parents were more likely to keep it for his future marriage, following typical Chinese parental thinking.

However, thinking about future missions, Chu Tian felt it was time to invest some money in his team. With that in mind, he began to contact Nuo Ta and Hong Shang.

But just then, he heard Hong Shang's voice engaged in a dispute with someone.

Chu Tian quickly squeezed through the crowd to see what was happening.

"We are members of the Storm Legion, and our leader has taken a liking to this Thunder Marked Snow Fox. It's your lucky day, a mere E-rank talent warrior like you thinks you can deceive us with your beast breeding business? Not reporting you for fraud would be giving you face," said a sharp-nosed man who was not very tall but exuded the aura of a D-rank talent warrior. Beside him stood a young man of average build, about twenty years old, but with a fierce glint in his eyes.

It was evident that these two individuals were not good people, as people around were pointing fingers and gossiping but none were willing to step in.

Chu Tian squinted his eyes, and the information about these two individuals appeared above their heads.

**Name: Yang Huairen**

- **Race: Human**

- **Gender: Male**

- **Level: D-rank**

- **Talent: Steel Claws**

Chu Tian then checked the attributes of the young man.

**Name: Hou Wuyang**

- **Race: Human**

- **Gender: Male**

- **Level: C-rank**

- **Talent: Poison Mist**

Chu Tian was somewhat familiar with the Poison Mist talent; awakened individuals with this talent could release a strange mist during battles. Anyone engulfed in the mist would gradually lose strength until their spiritual energy was entirely consumed, making them easy prey.

As Chu Tian approached, Hong Shang spotted him, and her eyes conveyed a pleading look.

"Are you guys bullying my team member?" Chu Tian's tone was cold as ice. He was entirely covered in a black Death Reaper robe, concealing his face. He also kept his talent level hidden, looking quite intimidating.

"Your team member? Hmph! Your team member is trying to deceive us with a so-called wild Thunder Marked Snow Fox cub from a breeding farm. You, a lowly E-rank talent warrior, dare to think you can trick the Storm Legion? Not reporting you for fraud would be doing you a favor," replied Yang Huairen, not holding back.

However, Chu Tian spoke indifferently, "You're trying to force a purchase, aren't you? If you give me face and disappear immediately, I can pretend nothing happened."

"What if we refuse?" It was Hou Wuyang who spoke this time. His voice was hoarse, with a hint of malevolence.

"In that case, I'll make sure you won't see the sun tomorrow."

Chu Tian's words were extremely domineering, and everyone present felt his arrogance.

"Who is this guy? I've never seen him before. Doesn't he know who Hou Wuyang and Yang Huairen are?" A middle-aged man couldn't help but gloat.

"It seems this guy in the black robe is in big trouble. The last person who angered the Storm Legion was torn to pieces by beasts in the mission area," another onlooker said with concern.

Even Hong Shang hadn't expected Chu Tian to be so resolute in his words, and she didn't know what to do at this point.

"You're quite arrogant. Is it worth making an enemy of the Storm Legion over a low-ranking E-rank team member?" Hou Wuyang said, his eyes filled with malice. He seemed to be trying to see through Chu Tian's black robe to reveal his face, but the robe was special, preventing anyone from seeing through it.

"Arrogant! Just like your team member, hiding your head but revealing your tail. If you have the guts, submit a life-and-death battle request to us. I promise it will be a very gruesome death for you and your teammate." Yang Huairen said, his fingernails instantly transformed into metallic claws with a shimmering blue metallic luster.

Hearing Yang Huairen's words, Hong Shang immediately grabbed Chu Tian's arm and said, "Gentlemen, I'll give you this Thunder Marked Snow Fox as a gift. Let's consider today my mistake."

Hong Shang took out the metal ball containing the Thunder Marked Snow Fox.

Yang Huairen glanced at the metal ball containing the fox, and a greedy look appeared on his face.

But just as he was about to reach out and take it, Chu Tian stopped Hong Shang.

"A life-and-death battle, it's a deal," Chu Tian said, showing no concern for these individuals.

Upon hearing Chu Tian accept the life-and-death battle, everyone present was in an uproar.

"This guy is crazy! A life-and-death battle? It's a fight to the death with no chance of survival!"

"I didn't expect him to be so audacious. A life-and-death battle with Hou Wuyang and Yang Huairen? Isn't he aware of who they are?"

Even Hong Shang hadn't anticipated that Chu Tian would accept so readily. She didn't know what to do at this point.

"Life and death, you're on!" Chu Tian declared. He took out his communicator and immediately submitted a life-and-death battle request.

After a moment, Hou Wuyang and Yang Huairen's communicators both rang, displaying Chu Tian's submitted life-and-death battle request.

Hou Wuyang and Yang Huairen looked at Chu Tian.

"I never expected it. You're the one who massacred the mission area, Chu Tian, right? A prodigy is about to die by my hands, and I'm getting excited just thinking about it," Hou Wuyang sneered as he accepted the life-and-death battle.

Upon seeing Hou Wuyang submit the request, Yang Huairen quickly followed suit.

The crowd began to disperse, making way for a large open space.

"Wow, this guy is Chu Tian, the one who slaughtered over a thousand savage beasts? His combat power must be at least B-rank!"

"Within just a month, he cleared the mission area by himself, and he even advanced to D-rank. He's truly a madman. If I were that strong, I'd be rich by now."

"Come on, who knows if it's true? Maybe he just got lucky."

Hou Wuyang gave a cold smile and released his aura, causing a whirlwind of dust to kick up around him. As a C-rank talent warrior, his aura overwhelmed the surroundings.

Just then, a faint mist began to rise from beneath Hou Wuyang's feet, gradually spreading toward Chu Tian.
