Chapter 49 - 49

After the person at the vehicle registration counter finished processing their request, Chu Tian's team walked over to the armored vehicle with the number "13" printed on it. They opened the door and scanned their irises on the device.

The engine emitted a low rumble, and Nuo Ta, who was very proficient, took the driver's seat.

However, at that moment, there was a light tapping sound on the vehicle's body.

Hearing the sound, Nuo Ta quickly opened the vehicle's radar to check but found nothing unusual. He proceeded to drive the vehicle out of the second defense perimeter towards the designated seventh mission area.

They were officially heading towards the fifth mission area but were actually bypassing it and heading straight for the last mission area.

"By the way, it seems like the seventh mission area is quite dangerous. It not only has D-rank mission beasts but also B-rank and A-rank ones. Are we, with just the three of us, not in a bit too much danger?" Hong Chang voiced her concerns from inside the vehicle.

Chu Tian smiled and replied, "Don't worry, everything is about strategy. Besides, we can't take on these high-tier beasts head-on. Subtlety is the key. Also, facing off against formidable enemies is the essence of growth."

This reassured Hong Chang to some extent, considering Chu Tian's impressive combat record and his multiple talents. Chu Tian was now widely recognized as the strongest D-rank talented warrior in the Federation.

Upon reaching the seventh mission point, which was the furthest from the 7th Human Base, Chu Tian sensed that something was off as soon as they entered the outer perimeter.

"Nuo Ta, turn off the engine. Something doesn't feel right here," Chu Tian said, and Nuo Ta immediately parked the vehicle in a somewhat concealed location.

After hiding the vehicle with some leaves and branches, Chu Tian extended his spiritual sense outward. With his improved rank, his spiritual sense could now cover a distance of nearly two hundred meters.

Within this range, Chu Tian noticed that not even a common insect or rodent could be seen, as if this place were a dead zone.

"What's going on?" Nuo Ta and Hong Chang looked at him in confusion, awaiting an explanation.

After a while, Chu Tian said, "Be careful, I have a bad feeling about this."

Since gaining his spiritual sense, Chu Tian had also become more sensitive to danger.

The three of them tried to take more concealed routes as they advanced deeper into the seventh mission area. After about a kilometer, Chu Tian signaled for Nuo Ta and Hong Chang to stay put while he investigated ahead.

"Is everything okay?" Nuo Ta asked inquisitively.

"There's a Bull Demon ahead, about one kilometer away. We need to detour," Chu Tian said, and the three of them decided to walk instead of driving. They collected all their supplies into the spatial device and prepared to bypass the area where the Bull Demon was located.

Chu Tian had no intention of engaging a beast like that, as he knew that the three of them were no match for it. The Bull Demon was exceptionally strong, with close to fifty tons of brute force, terrifying fire abilities, the power to control the earth and create earthquakes, and natural defenses approaching A-rank.

Chu Tian wouldn't foolishly charge into such a situation; it would be akin to delivering themselves as prey.

Returning to Nuo Ta and Hong Chang, Chu Tian signaled them to move quietly. They continued to explore the seventh mission area, where they encountered and killed several beasts along the way, mostly of E-rank.

During their journey, Nuo Ta and Hong Chang were astonished by Chu Tian's terrifying combat skills. Chu Tian used different attack methods for various beasts. He employed ice arrows and fireballs as his standard techniques. When facing stronger foes, he summoned lightning for a deadly strike.

Seeing Chu Tian's wide array of talents and skills left Nuo Ta surprised. He knew that most talented warriors possessed no more than five different talents, but Chu Tian was demonstrating at least ten. As night fell, Chu Tian and his team found a small cave on a hillside to set up camp.
