Chapter 13 - Mythical Class

All I can do is stare at the name of the class now that I'm awake from that dream. Before even clicking on it, I can see how it's changed my health, stamina, and mana. The calculation values have changed.

The lower I go in my player interface, the more I see that's changed. What stands out the most is how the skills (One-Handed Slash) and (Thrust) have been removed from my skill list.

...

The longer I stare and read these skills, the more I think this is a dream... It's hard to believe I'm lucky enough to get a quest with these rewards after loading into the game for the first time. These skills and new class make me a formidable opponent at my level.

But who knows how weak I am compared to NPCs with real power? It's safe to say that I'm the strongest player in the world right now. But to stay that way, I need to grind harder than I've ever done before.

Now that I've gone through the new skills I've gained, I think it's time to check out the class. My hand runs up the player interface, and I lightly click the class. After a split second, information is loaded.

---[Zophiels Descendant]---

[Info: You're the last descendant of the Primeval Angel Zophiel. You're the last in a bloodline that's diminished over thousands of years. Much of your Primeval Angel abilities are sealed.]

[Effects: HP, STM, and MP are multiplied by a factor of 1,000.]

[When you've risen to tier 1, more effects will be unlocked.]

Seems that, for now, most of the power of the class is sealed. As I look through the information again, I see everything that's changed. What catches my eye is the (Primeval Divinity) stat. I have no idea what that is.

It started at 100, but other than that, I've got nothing.

I'm really happy that I've got an inspect-type skill now. Although, it seems to be incredibly overpowered. Like the rest of the skills I've gained.

My hand darts to the inventory tab, and I click on the blueprints for (Metallic Mana Strings). Once I start reading, my eyes bulge.

---[Metallic Mana Strings]---

[Production Blueprints] [Grade: Epic]

[Info: Thin metal strings that can be infused with mana to be sharpened and channel elemental abilities through it.]

[You can craft this weapon.]

[You need the materials: Adamantine, Mithril, Greater Magic Essence.]

[Success rate: 100% due to being based on a blueprint.]

[More information available after the weapon is crafted.]

[Warning: Metallic Mana Strings are highly advanced weapons that require training. A scarce and sought-after form of combat.]

Wow, I can craft the weapon, but I need the materials to do it. There is still so much I need to figure out with this class, but before I do anything. I need to get a new weapon. The one-handed axe I've got ain't gonna cut it.

Instead of wasting time in bed, I leave the room and head downstairs. The inn is packed with players, all of them talking and having a good time.

I use (Eyes of Creation) on some of the players in the dining area, and I can see everything about them. They're names, skills, stats, and levels, including inventory items and equipped gear.

This is the most busted inspect-type skill I've ever experienced. What I'm noticing is players are around levels 10 and 11. Some of them even have classes that are Common and Uncommon grade.

All it's taken is a day for players to get a handle on leveling up. But we're all still a little lost when it comes to anything beyond that.

Thanks to Haleen yesterday, I gained a lot of valuable information. After I see someone about a weapon, I'm gonna find a place that sells maps. That way, I can move on from Geonia as quickly as I can.

The more I learn about the greater world of AG, the better. The best way to do that is to go beyond the safety of the walls in the city I spawned in.

[Planetwide Announcement: Now that players are starting their second day, it's time that the Auction Houses open. In every city, there is a building where players and NPCs can sell and buy items.]

[Planetwide Announcement: Three anonymous players have gained Epic graded classes.]

[Planetwide Announcement: One anonymous player has gained a Legendary graded class.]

[Planetwide Announcement: One anonymous player has gained a Mythical graded class.]

Silence reverberates through the inn's dining hall. Everyone is staring at their screens. Soaking in the information that's just dropped.

"How high is a Mythical class!!?"

"Does anyone know where we can find out who it is!?"

"How fast do you think the guilds will move on 'em?"

People all over the dining hall start talking about what's happened. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who did really well on the first day. Someone even got a Legendary grade class. That's bound to be powerful, too.

Since there are so many things I need to buy, I think the first thing I should check out is the Auction House that's opened up for players. I'm interested in what's already being sold. Getting a new weapon can wait for now.

I don't have the funds to get anything good, but I'd like to know how much Adamantine, Mithril, and Greater Magic Essence costs.

See how far away I am from being able to craft the (Metallic Mana Strings.) On my way to the Auction House, I open the creation tab in my player interface.

It allows me to design and create armor and weapons. All from scratch. This is really cool. That means, a very long time from now, I'll be able to create high-grade armor and weapons completely from nothing but the materials needed to make them.

For now, I'm sticking with the blueprint I've got. But I must explore what I can do with this creation tab.

Before I leave Geonia, I need to craft something. Just to see what it's like. As I'm walking down the street, foot traffic is picking up. After walking and looking around for a few minutes, I see a massive crowd of players.

Upon my approach, it's in front of the biggest building I've seen so far. Players are standing outside the building, talking to one another.

Others are going in.

Time to check this out.

"The emergence of the Mythical grade class is a sign!! We have to do something now!"

"No!! It's impossible for us to track down whoever it is."

"We're not gonna waste time trying to find someone in a sea of billions!!"

The men and women at the large table argue with one another. All I can do is sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.
