"It's incomplete; the transformation is still ongoing, but something is preventing it from completing its evolution," states the golden-eyed teacher.
"I think that our young friend might be the last thing that that abomination needed to complete its transformation," the golden monk teacher speculated.
"If that is the case, then we have more reason to prevent those things from approaching that silent warrior," roars the barbarian teacher before charging towards the three monsters.
The other teachers follow his lead, except for the undead teachers that are still afraid of the beast within the mist; the rest start fighting against the three monsters.
The tiger head is ferocious; even the likes of the barbarian teacher, who is known for his physical strength, are not at an advantage against it.
The goat head is mysterious; every time it lets out an indescribable cry, a random thing would pop out and cause mayhem.
The humanoid head is strange; it would release multiple ghostly apparitions, and each time a ghost dies, it would inflict varying curses on everything around it, including other ghosts.
Each death would increase the power and traits of the curses that were now inflicted on the teachers; fortunately, the elf teacher is well versed at fighting against such entities, so her attacks and skills managed to suppress the effect of the curses.
Pained wails sound out as the humanoid head monster cries after being hit by three attacks made out of spiritual and yin energy.
The elf teacher is surprised, and so was everyone; they turned in the direction of the attack, and the ones responsible for such attacks were none other than the undead teachers.
"Do not worry about us; it seems that abomination is not able to harm us personally for some sort of reason; as long as we stay at a certain distance away from it, we do not need to worry about it's strange abilities," said one of the undead teachers.
"Hell! I also want some help on my side; this d*mn beast is too difficult to fight against!" The barbarian teacher complains loudly.
Each of his attacks carries the intent to destroy his target, but not one of them is able to truly harm the tiger-head monster.
Each time it's body would be destroyed, it would regenerate almost instantly without fail. With the number of corpses on the battlefield, there is a vast supply of flesh and blood for it to use.
"Just hold on! It seems that the weakest amongst the three monsters is actually the skull." The golden monk, who had already transformed into his ape form, shouted as he tried to punch the goat, only to slip in a rather unsightly manner.
The barbarian teacher becomes silent as he actually pitied the teachers fighting against the goat head monster, which has abilities that boggle one's mind; at least, the tiger head monster still attacks with physical strength.
The skull starts to shrink, transforming into a humanoid figure covered in blue-yin flames. It's skeleton is pitched black, supporting a giant skull.
"Since it cannot defeat us by relying on its servants, it decided to sacrifice them to enhance his strength," analysed one of the teachers.
BOOM! The transformed skull narrowly misses two teachers, destroying the ground that it hit. It glares at the two with its blazing eyes, and suddenly, the two freeze.
Just as it was about to attack them, multiple arrows hit it, causing it to wail in pain and carrying multiple different voices.
The undead teachers use this opportunity to send out their own attacks but fail to hurt the transformed skull as much as earlier; it seems to have adapted to their yin energy.
"Amazing!"
"Spectacular!"
"A genius!"
"You living corpses should just shut up if you just want to praise the enemy!" roars one of the teachers that was saved by the elf teacher.
"You guys, stop attacking it and help the other team; it seems that the thing that we are fighting is not just a wild monster; it is actually able to learn," states the elf teacher.
TCH! The other teachers cursed inwardly as they heard this. It seems that the so-called weakest monster actually has a potent trait.
The transformed skull opens its mouth and releases a grey fog that starts to spread all over its surroundings.
"Hmph! Futile!" roars the golden-eyed teacher as he summons a golden-glow spear and throws it at his target, but the transformed skull only laughs as the fog stops coming out of its mouth and a pearl appears on it.
A beam of concentrated energy was shot at the incoming spear. The two attacks collided, causing a loud explosion to occur. The teachers managed to stabilise themselves through their bountiful experience, but the transformed skull barely has any combat experience; it took the explosion head-on with its now-transformed body.
It was blown away, but it seemed to be not in pain. After tumbling down a couple of metres away, it stands back up; its flame is now bigger, as is its figure. The flame looks incredibly hot from the perspective of others, but on the contrary, it is bone-chilling cold.
The yin energy swirling around its body is what causes the flame to be cold; what is worse for its target is that it directly inflicts damage to the soul.
Multiple sharp bones appear around it; they flew at an incredible speed towards the teachers; the elf teacher snorts and fires; her arrows split apart and increased in number; and they are also much stronger than the sharp bones.
The arrows land on the transformed skull, causing it to wail in pain. It seems to be unable to adapt to the attacks of the elf teacher.
"That thing is much more sensitive towards life and nature energy compared to all the yin attribute beings I had fought," the elf teacher analyses.
BOOM! The transformed skull disappears from their view, the undead teachers pull her away, and her earlier spot explodes.
"What the hell was that?!" The elf teacher was shocked; even though the rope of your energy is hurting her, she is glad that her fellow teachers managed to pull her away from the danger.
"Careful! It's soul has undergone a drastic change!" The undead teachers actually do not know what is truly happening; they just know that the transformed skull started targeting the elf teacher. Realising this, they immediately sent a rope towards her before their enemy even made a move.
"Sh*t!" roars one of the undead teachers as she senses the aura of the transformed skull once again. She pulls the rope, but she is not fast enough.
The transformed skull grabs the elf teacher.
"Let her go!" The other teachers fighting with the elf teacher have already made a move after realising that their enemy is now targeting her.
Unfortunately, they are not fast enough; the transformed skull has thrown away its strange abilities and is fully focused on enhancing its physical traits.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The transformed skull was hit by multiple fireballs; it paused for one second, but this was enough for the elf teacher to detonate her life force.
The transformed skull let out a loud wail as one of its hands was destroyed. It was rapidly recovering, but looking at the black smoke coming out of its body, it seems that the detonation has hurt it deeply.
"Moonlight! Are you alright?" Seeing that her hair turns white and her expression is strained, the other teachers quickly flock around her to protect her.
"I am fine; I just used one of my clan's forbidden skills; I need some time to recover," she explains in an exhausted voice.
"Great job, Flare!" Margaret heaves a sigh of relief, seeing that Moonlight Archer managed to escape the hands of the transformed skull.
Flare also heaves a sigh of relief; she did not expect that her fireballs actually managed to help one of the teachers in a battle that they were clearly not a part of.
Suddenly, the swords of everyone on the battlefield start rattling; the three monsters start reacting more violently; they no longer try to end their battle against the teachers; they are only focused on one thing, and that is reaching Leon.
"Sir Immortal is getting closer to his breakthrough! Grit your teeth and hold on! Prevent these monsters from reaching him!" Roars the Enlightened Monkey. Ougen no longer regards his safety and actually went and hugged the tiger head monster. No matter how it tries to push him away, he does not let go.
"Idiot! That is too reckless!" The other teachers shouted as they pinned the tiger head monster down. The creature is no longer acting like earlier; it seems that its focus has shifted greatly, causing its attack to lack power and killing intent.
"Where do you think you are going?" The enlightened monkey roars with his nose and eyes bleeding as he grabs the horns of the goat and pushes it back with trembling steps and a weakened body.
