Chapter 140 - CHAPTER 135 THE STRUGGLE

They might not have any concrete information, but all of them instinctively know that the end of this battle is near. The unknown beast that is rampaging on the battlefield is now full of injuries, but it is still ferocious.

It no longer focuses on the True Supernaturals after realising just how difficult they are to deal with; most injuries are caused by them.

It is now solely targeting weaker genetic lifeforms, using them as sacrifices to strengthen its three subordinates. It seems to sense the danger coming from within.

It is not afraid of getting killed, as it seems to be immortal as long as there is flesh, blood, and soul power in the area.

Fueled by the power of the Gemstone of Life, it is practically a one-man army. It might not be able to deal with true supernaturals now that they are tightly working together, but it cannot be killed either, causing a delicate balance to be created.

ROAR! The voice commanding the genetic lifeforms let out a roar full of rage. It seems that a shackle was destroyed and a scaled claw appeared on the horizon; it was gigantic and looked similar to that of a dragon claw.

BOOM! The unknown beast was blown away by the dragon claw, causing its entire body to be destroyed. Everyone was shocked by this sudden change.

Suddenly, the sky starts to change; the owner of the dragon claw senses something and retracts it's class; the sky rumbles, but at the retreat of the dragon claw, it returns to its former dark and gloomy appearance.

"Sh*t!" Ougen curses loudly as his momentary laps cause the tiger head monster to escape his clutches. The expression of the other teachers changes; since the three creatures are still alive, it only means one thing.

Just like what they had thought, even after its body was blown away, only bits of its former self remain; the unknown beast is actually still alive.

The reanimated genetic lifeforms that were rampaging on the battlefield sense something and start panicking; unfortunately for them, they are unable to escape their fate as chains appear and drag them towards the blobs of flesh that are moving on their own.

A sword hum can be heard as the evolved sword slave appears once again. Not caring about its current condition, it attacks with blazing killing intent.

The blobs of flesh were cut into pieces, but even then, they resiliently tried to become one once again. The other true supernaturals recovered, and they all started destroying the bits of flesh, not knowing that one of them had already attached itself to the sword of the evolved sword slaves.

Meanwhile, the tiger head monster leaps at Leon, only to be stopped by Flare, Margaret, Ersha, Chrystal, and multiple other prodigies.

Ougen was running at full speed; he wants to regain his honour; his eyes are red with rage; the tiger head monster is already out of control; it attacks everything around it indiscriminately just to reach Leon.

Iron Captain leads his group, and they erect their shield and form a wall in front of Leon. This shocked everyone, as they could see that this group was too weak to join this battle.

One of the tiger heads's attacks hits their wall of shield; it might not be a direct attack from it and is only a remnant of its true attack, but it is still heavy and strong.

Iron Captain and his group grunted as they were pushed back by the blow, their shield caving in. They suddenly felt someone pushing them from behind, helping them endure the force of the attack.

"Just push back, goddamn!" Roars Wind Sword, his group of former mercenaries griffining their teeth and helping Iron Captain and his group block the attacks.

"It seems that I was wrong about you guys." Iron Captain sighs heavily as he focuses on blocking the incoming blow once again.

The prodigies, on the other hand, were blown away by the attack of the tiger head monster; with one swipe, multiple so-called geniuses were defeated.

"You guys had done well holding it back!" Ougen appears and smashes his fist on the head of his enemy. The impact of his attack shakes the small area around them.

Margaret appears in front of the wall of shields and slashes the aftershocks that were flying everywhere. Chrystal and Ersha block another location, ordering their subordinates to carry the injured away.

Flare was watching everything with a dazed expression. Without giving anyone time to react, she slashes her sword at the tiger head monster; it was burning with a mysterious flame.

The tiger-head monster starts to frantically roll to the ground, not because of Ougen's attack; shockingly, it was the small flame burning its body.

"What?!" Ougen was shocked; unfortunately for him, because of the frantic reaction of the tiger head monster, he was hit squarely by one of its maddened attacks.

He grunted as he was blown away but managed to stop himself from getting farther by punching, creating a counterforce to halt his flight.

The tiger-head monster freezes, even though the fire burning its body was extremely painful for it. A command that is absolute crashes into its very being.

ROAR! It leaps at Leon, crashing into Margaret and the wall of shield. Even with their spirits full of conviction, the difference between the two sides is just too great.

Margaret fared better as she managed to stabilise her body, but unfortunately for the rest of the Miracle Group, they were blown away by the attack and are all injured; not one of them managed to escape unscathed.

BAM! BAM! BAM! The other teachers manage to keep the tiger head monster at bay, but the situation is extremely dire. They are barely able to reach this location because their allies managed to buy them some time, but without Ougen, none of them have the strength to pull their enemy away.

"Sh*t! To think that we failed to contain one being! We are the embarrassment of the academy!" One of the teachers curses loudly. They cannot believe that they had to let the children join their battle because of how pathetic their performance is.

"Hold the beast at bay!" Ougen roared full of fury. He is not going to let himself fail such a task. The Enlightened Monkey and the other teachers managed to keep their target at a far distance, but the target that he is responsible for managed to get so close. He views this as the outmost dishonour on his pride as a warrior.

Leon stands up, startling everyone, but his evolution is still not complete. He raises his hand, and swords start flying towards him. Those that are wielding soul blessings are not affected, but those that are carrying swords are.

Their swords escape from their grasp and are now flying towards Leon. The transformed skull looks at the flying swords and attacks them, disrupting the flow. The expression of the teacher changes once again. All of them turn to Leon but see that he is not affected.

The transformed skull lets out a loud roar and charges once again, knocking away as many swords as it can while getting to its target.

The ground beneath it caves in, and it falls on a hole. One of the teachers slaps his hand on the ground, and the hole starts to close but is too slow for the transformed skull. It leaps out of the hole with a bone spear on its hand.

SWISH! It throws the spear towards Leon just as he is about to be hit. Two bone dragons intercept the spear, but unfortunately for one of them, the power of the spear was so great that it was destroyed in just one blow.

"As expected, that thing is quite dangerous for our kind," states one of the undead teachers. He was the one responsible for summoning the bone dragons; he already expected that the transformed skull had the ability to harm their kind at the same level as holy, life, and nature attributes, but the power exceeded his expectations.

Holy attributes exorcise them, life attributes suppress them, and nature attributes weaken them, but the attacks that the transformed skull makes destroy them instantaneously.

They are familiar with this power; this is from a higher source of death energy; only legendary undeads have this power; they cannot believe that they are facing such power in the first realm; they know that they are now at an incredible disadvantage as their attacks will not harm their enemy and might even strengthen it.

"Stop thinking about things that we cannot do and think about the things that we can do!" The elf teacher shouted at them, seeing the apprehension in their faces.

Upon hearing her words, their expression changes and becomes solemn. Each one of them starts summoning undead creatures and commands them to bring the swords they were knocked away by the transformed skull to Leon.
