Chapter 137 - CHAPTER 132 VOID

'Where am I?' Inside a void, a person was floating aimlessly; suddenly, he starts to writhe in pain; his entire body seems to be being ripped apart.

'I remember now!' Cleo opens his eyes as floods of memories descend on him. He takes a deep breath. Even though the void around him has nothing, his action still calms his mind.

"System, are you there?" He is nervous; he knows that he has transformed into a wretched cursed being after deciding to risk it all, and he is afraid that it might affect the system.

[The system is online.]

He heaves a sigh of relief upon hearing the familiar voice.

"Where am I?" Looking around at the empty void, he cannot help but feel that he is currently at a very important location.

[This is the host's soul space; the system is now using its entire function to protect the host's soul from being corrupted by the Malevolent Fiend.]

"What!? Shouldn't it be the Malevolent Tiger?" He is shocked. The spirit of the Malevolent Tiger is derived from practicing the tiger part of the dragon-tiger body tempering technique; how could it transform into another entity?

[Since the Malevolent Tiger is a part of the host and deeply connected to your soul, it has obtained the function of the Gemstone of Life.]

"F*ck! What about Leon!?" He had transformed into his Malevolent Tiger Form in order to help Leon evolve, but he did not expect that it would actually backfire.

[The host does not need to worry; Cleo's Clone (Leon) is still in possession of the true Gemstone of Life; the Malevolent Fiend only has access to the byproduct of the ability of the gem, but even then, it has increased its strength tremendously and even broke through the restraint of its form, becoming a true spirit by absorbing the soul fragments, together with multiple unique energies that even the system is still processing.]

"I guess that my bet has paid off." He smiles bitterly as he quickly realizes his predicament. He knows that with an out-of-control true spirit, it would be difficult to regain control of his body.

[Do not worry, host, as long as Cleo's Clone (Leon) manages to breakthrough the supernatural level, it will boost your overall power, including the strength of your soul.]

"Finally, at least some good news, but just in case." He quickly starts doing some weird movements, each of which causes his soul to glow in a golden light as the roar of the dragon can be heard.

This was a body tempering technique, but it was not for humans but is actually for the Golden Monk Race. The system has made some changes, but he never practiced it as its grade is below that of the dragon-tiger body tempering technique.

It might not be a supernatural-grade technique, but with the help of the thundercloud dragon spirit, he might be able to improve the quality of the technique. Even if he fails, there is no harm in trying.

Now that he is trapped in the deepest part of his soul space, he has to do something; if not, he would just worry constantly.

The body tempering technique is now being used as a soul tempering technique; he does not need to move his body as it is not needed for using the now skewered technique.

Meanwhile, in the realm, with the appearance of the maleficent being, everyone becomes cautious, and the fog moves as it starts to spread.

Suddenly, with multiple powerful auras deep in the tide of genetic lifeforms, the eyes of the teachers harden as they immediately realize that the auras belong to the superior Supernaturals.

"How can that be!? The restriction should still be active!" The female teacher in charge of the Oriend Family cannot help but shout in shock.

"I think that being threatens even the powerful will of the worlds; it is something that should not exist; the restriction still exists, but it was lowered in order for the superior Supernaturals to deal with that thing," states one of the teachers with golden eyes that blaze under the sun.

The beast lets out a roar that is incredibly uncomfortable to hear. Everyone covers their ears as painful memories start to appear in their minds. Their hearts are now being corrupted by powerful evil desires.

A couple of teachers made a move, suppressing the effect of the roar and causing the warriors to pant heavily as their already exhausted bodies fell to the ground.

"What the heck is that thing!?" Multiple warriors exclaim as they look at the beast hidden in the mist. The palpating sensation of doom they are now feeling from it is very unnerving.

"An abomination," states one of the teachers.

The superior Supernaturals start attacking the lifeforms, but the dense mist seems to be protecting the being. One of the superior Supernaturals was a flying lifeform with a very large pair of wings.

It flaps them hard, generating a powerful blast of wind that threatens to blow the mist away. Suddenly, everyone hears a rattling of chains. Just as they are confused as to where that sound comes from, multiple chains come out of the mist, and all of them are flying towards the lifeform with large wings.

SCREECH! The lifeform was caught by surprise by the sudden event. It tries to escape, but it is too late. The chains bind its entire body and start pulling it deep into the mist.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH! The chains are hit by sharp arcs of sword energy; they start to rattle, some even on the verge of getting cut.

A roar full of rage was heard. Something came out of the dense fog; it was a giant paw with blood-red claws. It attacked the humanoid entity wielding a sword. It was large, but  not slow. The paw seemed to disappear in the eyes of most of the audience.

BAM! The attack blows the humanoid lifeform away; it was sent crashing to the weaker lifeforms.

"How strong!" explained the barbarian teacher. He had seen the humanoid lifeform block the attack with its sword and even try to repel the force, but the power behind the paw was just too large.

"It is absorbing the killing intent and corpses on the battlefield!" Suddenly the golden eyes teacher shouted as everyone saw the corpses on the battlefield being sucked dry and turning into dust. The blood became the most intense while the dust fused with the chain.

"Such a sinister ability; it is similar to that of the vampire race but much worse." explains the golden eyes teacher as he sees the souls that were unable to escape being absorbed into the center of the mist.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH! Three incredibly fast objects come out of the dense mist and stab themselves into three of the unsuspecting superior supernaturals.

The barbarian teacher starts speaking in a solemn tone.

"Fast! Each of that abomination's attacks are extremely fast; not only that, with the mist covering it's body and the boiling killing intent surrounding the battlefield, it is no surprise that even superior Supernaturals are caught by surprise by it's attack."

"Look! Those are actually tails!" The elf teacher shouted as everyone's eyes widen. Three scorpion tails embedded themselves on the bodies of the three superior Supernaturals.

As the bodies of the three land on the ground, they immediately start to twitch before ultimately dying. Their bodies are then sucked dry and become strength for the abomination.

Instantly, the remaining superior Supernaturals, including the other Supernaturals, drown the abomination with a multitude of different attacks, but not one of them dares to approach.

No matter how strong the abomination is, it is just one being. Being hit by thousands of strong blows hurts it, and the dense mist churns further spreading on the battlefield. The tide of lifeforms was caught in it as they could not escape because of their numbers.

One by one, all of them fall into a state of madness as lust, hunger, greed, wrath, and a multitude of chaotic and evil desires start to run rampant inside their hearts.

All of them start attacking each other; a lifeform falls to the ground, killed by one of its kind; a different lifeform pounces on it and starts mating with its dead carcass; another is eating all the weaker lifeforms around it up until its stomach bursts; another is killing the lifeforms around it with an expression full of pleasure.

The genetic warriors watching everything cannot help but feel a chill once again running down their spines. They know that numbers seem to not work best against such an entity, but fortunately, it seems to be ignoring them.

Some of them knows the identity of the abomination but they kept it hidden.

"It is holding itself from attacking us, no! More like something is preventing it from getting close to us." Everyone instantly turns to Leon, who was still in the process of so-called breaking through, not knowing that it is actually undergoing an evolution.
