Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 4 GOING HOME

'But first, I must prevent this girl, my sister, from messing with the main character. I might not like him for our fates, but this does not mean I want to suffer from the retaliation of his luck. I still need to grow stronger, which can go against fate itself! '

He coughs out loud, garnering the attention of the people around him.

He smiles and says, "Miss, I mean, sister, I think that you should not hurt my friend. Can't we just return home first? I am still confused by everything. I want to know a lot about myself, and hurting my friend might make me feel pained and sad."

He tries to act as pitiful as possible; he opted for the technique that he always used with his grandpa with his now-sister. He is embarrassed that he is using this method as a grown man, but what can he do in his current situation?

The beautiful woman takes a deep breath; her anger still does not dissipate, but she knows that his words might hold some truth amongst them. She nods her head in agreement and brings him to a location where a giant portal-like gate is situated.

His eyes widen; he cannot believe what he is seeing, but upon watching the reactions of the people around him, he forces himself to calm down, but his shaking body betrays him.

His sister senses this, and her expression becomes worried. She quickly asks, "Are you okay, Carl? You are shivering; are you feeling cold? Is something bothering you?"

'D*mn! My sister actually cares about me as much as my grandfather does! It seems that as long as I survive this life, I do not need to be worried about my happiness! ' Just as this thought flashes in his head, he quickly crushes it.

'No! This mindset is what brought you to your downfall! Remember your original life! 'He takes a deep breath and shakes his head, indicating to his sister that he is okay.

In his original life, he always relied on his grandfather's reputation to live a spoiled life. He might not be as debaucherous as the most wealthy second generation because of his grandfather's influence, but he is similar in some aspects of his lifestyle.

"Young mistress, the young lord lost his memories; it seems that even such basic knowledge about the portal gate has disappeared from his brain; according to some studies that I have learned, sudden memory loss is caused by some sort of trauma," whispers the lady knight.

The beautiful woman clenches her fist tightly. She whispers to Emily, "I want you to secretly search for that trash and ask him about what happened to their hunt. We might be unable to kill him because of my brother's request, but this does not mean that we cannot teach him a lesson."

Emily nods her head. If Leon discovers that his earlier action caused his sister to change her mind again, he will definitely be speechless. For him, the trash that everyone is talking about is the main character of this world.

They entered the portal, and while everyone is calm about such a situation, he, on the other hand, is actually deeply afraid. Since everyone is not perturbed by this whole affair, he can only swallow his words and brace himself.

When they passed through the portal, everyone quickly stepped away from him, but seeing that he was fine, everyone was surprised. Emily was a little bit dizzy, but other than her, everyone seemed to be acting relatively normal.

"Young master, are you fine?" asks Elcio. Leon is confused, but he still answers his question with a nod. He did not feel anything strange after passing through the portal, but looking at everyone's reaction, it seems that he should feel something.

'System, do you have any idea regarding what had happened?'

[As a theory, the portal that the host passes through causes slight nausea for those that have not adapted to its energy and laws.]

'If this is the case, why am I not affected? I am pretty sure that this is the first time I've encountered such a thing.'

[The system is created to counter the destructive capability of a black hole; a stable space such as the portal will not affect the host whatsoever.]

He sighs in relief, smiles at everyone, and asks, "Are we not going back home?"

His sister narrows her eyes at him, taking out some sort of compass. After seeing it's reaction, she heaves a sigh of relief, smiles, and nods her head. She then brings him to a giant mansion.

Leon is speechless, utterly dumbfounded by the things he has seen—flying cars, multiple 3D advertisement videos, and giant advanced infrastructure—and he cannot help but want to slap himself for assuming that he was sent into a somewhat barbaric world.

'Hell! This world is much more advanced than my world; if they have such technological advancement, why is that stronghold in that other dimension so outdated?

'No use in overthinking; I must fill up my brain with knowledge regarding this world, but first, I must know my current family. Fortunately, my sister does not know about my current situation and does not doubt my so-called identity.'

As they enter the mansion, his sister approaches a man wearing a butler outfit. "Uncle Iruh, are our parents home?"

"I apologise, young mistress, but Lord Arnold and Lady Rosenneta are both still in the third realm; they might be unable to come home for a couple of months because of the invasion of Ashuras."

The beautiful woman can only sigh; she does not blame them; she only nods her head and brings Leon to his room. Seeing such a wide room, the latter cannot help but be utterly shocked.

'D*mn! This family is richer than my former family; is this just a bedroom? This looks like a f*cking living room! 'Seeing his reaction, a look of sadness flashes in his sister's eyes.
