Xin Yue was startled by Lei Junshan's sudden appearance beside her.
"Why do you appear suddenly like a ghost? Are you trying to scare me to death?" Xin Yue's patted her heart to calm herself down.
She then said, "Haven't you and your car experienced my anger before?"
Lei Junshan gazed at Xin Yue, "You should be thankful to god that you have not experienced Lei Junshan's anger yet."
Xin Yue was pissed off by this narcissist man, "How great do you think you are! Do you think that just because you are a member of Lei family, the whole world should bow down to you?"
"I don't think like this, but the thing you are saying is the reality," Lei Junshan replied, "Just by hearing my name, the whole country bows down in front of me."
Lei Junshan grew furious on hearing Xin Yue's sarcastic and humiliating tone, "By the way, who the hell are you to question me like this? Have you seen yourself in the mirror? What is your last name? Who are your parents? Have they done anything worthwhile in their life?"
Xin Yue's face turned downcast, "Look, if you are speaking to me, just speak to me. There is no need to involve my parents in this matter."
"I am just stating the facts and showing you your own worth," Lei Junshan said rudely, "If the whole world was a building, then I would have been on the top floor and you…you would have been on the ground floor."
Lei Junshan's finger unknowingly pointed at the mud on the side of the road while he uttered these words. He just wanted to point at the ground to make Xin Yue realize that she was not worthy to even speak to him.
When Xin Yue saw Lei Junshan's finger pointing towards the mud while talking about her, her blood boiled in anger, "Are you pointing towards the mud? Do you think that I am mud? Do you think that I should bury myself in mud? How dare you!"
Lei Junshan was utterly confused by Xin Yue's anger. However, he did not wish to waste any more time on this crazy woman. He turned around and walked towards his car. What he did not expect that he had to face Xin Yue's wrath.
Xin Yue, fueled by anger from being called mud by Lei Junshan, reached down, scooping up handfuls of wet earth. The mud squelched between her fingers, cool and malleable. Then, in a series of swift and forceful movements, she hurled the wet earth towards Lei Junshan's car. Each muddy impact sent a shock through the air, and the car's once-pristine surface became a canvas of chaotic brown splatters. Lei Junshan, caught off guard, watched in astonishment as the mud landed with a messy splat, narrowly avoiding contact with him.
The repeated onslaught continued, as Xin Yue's frustration manifested in the form of muddy projectiles. Lei Junshan, now fully aware of the situation, raised his arms instinctively to shield himself from the splattering mud. Shock and disbelief mingled on his face as the car, parked just a few feet away, endured the barrage.
As the final clump of mud found its mark, Xin Yue stood there, chest heaving, her eyes showing a sense of relief as she released her frustration on Lei Junshan's car.
Lei Junshan, on the other hand, was furious now, "Have you freaking lost it? Idiot!"
Xin Yue smiled, "Yes, I am an idiot. I am crazy. I am also poor. But you…You are great! You are the great Lei Junshan!
"But what will you do now in the face of a landslide? No matter who you are, you have to be stuck here!"
However, Lei Junshan did not agree with Xin Yue's words. He refuted instantly, "Nothing can stop Lei Junshan. Neither this nature nor any person can stop me."
Xin Yue teased, "Oh, then how will you go? Will you fly to your destination?"
As soon as Xin Yue said this, it was as if her words had come true. The chopper of the Lei family landed for the aid of Lei Junshan. Xin Yue's eyes turned wide with disbelief. She could not believe it. Did this man really call for this?
Within her moment of disbelief, Lei Junshan walked towards the chopper and boarded it. Before the door of the chopper closed, Lei Junshan gave a provocative look to Xin Yue.
Xin Yue looked at the scene in front of her with her mouth wide open. She could not believe that Lei Junshan had really flown away.
It took a while for Xin Yue to come back to her senses. A phone call from her boss had successfully interrupted her thoughts. He urged her to deliver the food on time.
Xin Yue assured her boss that she would definitely complete her task, but the worry etched on her face did not match the confidence in her words. Thankfully, her boss was not in front of her, otherwise he would have known the truth instantly.
As she hung up the call, Xin Yue's eyes caught the sight of some workers who were trying to clean up the mess caused by the landslide. Her eyes lit up as she walked towards them.
"Excuse me, can you tell me if you know any other route to reach the farmhouse of the Huang family?" Xin Yue asked a worker.
