Chapter 297 - Chapter 297 : Voldemort 1

Wrap.

Both Rose and Orion suddenly found themselves in the graveyard where that rat killed Cedric in the books and movies. Though Orion was sure that there was no way that rat was coming here, he was still on his guard.

He looked at Rose with a little irritation, but it wasn't her fault either. Still, knowing how she found that cup so quickly was a question he wanted to ask.

So, someone else is going to take Peter's position here to take Rose's blood, right?

"Hmm, Orion? We... Where are we?" Rose sounded confused. Understandable. For the time being, Orion didn't bother replying to her, only looking for any dangers around him.

After a few seconds of nothing happening, he was about to launch his Law of Presence when he noticed a sound.

He immediately snapped his head back to see a certain individual walking with three more beside him.

Orion glared at one person, while Rose kept shifting her gaze between the two people she knew and the one who gave her goosebumps.

"Ahh, it's been a long time since we have met, Rose Potter," said the man walking in the middle. He was bald with an ugly face and literally no nose.

Rose shrugged internally upon hearing this, while Orion was only looking directly at one person—not the bald man whom he was planning to make his lab rat to use some of his magic, but rather the girl walking alongside another recognizable character.

"Not into dark magic, eh, Hermione?" Orion snorted, seeing the girl walking beside both Voldemort and Nick. He would have anticipated something like that but never would have called her out on it earlier.

But after what she told him about Nick and how she never wanted to do what she did, he just couldn't stop himself.

Hermione, to her credit, didn't look ashamed or look away at all. She still had a calm face while standing between both Voldemort and Nick.

"And you... you are the boy who punched me back then," Voldemort said as he shifted his focus to Orion.

Orion pondered when, then remembered that he did kind of punch Quill back then.

At the same time, Orion was wondering how come the man was here in the first place. Wasn't he supposed to be dead and can only come back to life after taking Rose's blood?

'If he was revived, then why bother coming here in the first place?' Orion's mind was racing.

Of course, the possibility of Nick bringing this guy to deal with him crossed his mind, but would someone like Voldemort be influenced that easily?

'Though weak compared to what I have seen, he is still one of the three great wizards of this era. Makes sense why Nick would want to put him against me. But how did he do it, and more than anything, how did he switch sides and become one of the Death Eaters so easily? Isn't killing all Mudbloods and ruling over Muggles their entire motto?' Orion really couldn't help but be a little confused by the sudden team-up between Nick and Voldemort.

"And who are you, baldie?" Orion asked with a raised eyebrow in a haughty tone. Rose on the side smiled after hearing this, while Voldemort snapped at him immediately, raising his wand and shouting the Killing Curse.

No matter what, he was going to mess with them anyway. Who cares if they are working together? Big deal.

"Avada Kedavra!" shouted Voldemort like a broken record. Honestly, this man didn't know any other spell besides this. He rotated his wand, and a green light shot out towards Orion.

Orion had to admit that this magic was powerful, much more powerful than what he encountered against that zombie body of Eric back then.

But that was it. As soon as the spell approached, he took out his own wand and put it in front of the incoming green spell. He could have let his Infinity handle it, but there was no fun in that. He'd rather work out a little; it had been ages since he got to use his magic like this, let alone have a good fight.

More than anything, he still hadn't used his wand in a fight. He wanted to test it out.

He put his wand forward, like holding a big staff, not pointing at the incoming spell but rather pointing upwards.

Crash.

The green light crashed into something, stopping and not moving ahead anymore.

Seeing this, Voldemort's eyes widened a little. 'How did he do that? The Killing Curse can't be stopped like that.' Voldemort's eyes narrowed.

He had been told that Orion was strong. But again, he never gave too much attention to this. When he later learned that Orion might be a descendant of Merlin himself, he became interested.

He actually never wanted to kill Orion if it wasn't necessary. Having a descendant of Merlin under him would be very beneficial. But if he didn't pledge his loyalty, the boy was better off dead.

Just now, he cast the Killing Curse as an instinct to kill the guy who annoyed him. This was one of his bad habits; many had died under him like this. But upon seeing the boy able to stop his Killing Curse, he was surprised.

Orion, on the other hand, used his force to stop the spell from reaching him. He knew that the reason no other spell could stop the Killing Curse was that it was infused with the power of death.

It was no longer normal magic, even in the category of Dark Magic. It was a Law attack. And the power of Law he knew better than anyone, and he also knew that Law could only be handled by another power of Law.

So, while using the Force, he added the Law of Space power to block the spell. Though this time it was not Infinity, it created a powerful shield to stop the attack.

Voldemort, seeing this, calmed himself. He remembered that he had to bring the child under him; that was one of the reasons he was here, besides killing Rose Potter, of course. So he calmed himself and was about to offer his hand to give the prudent boy a place beside him...

Or at least he tried, as before he could open his mouth, Orion opened his.

"That's it? I was honestly expecting more from the big bad villain. I am a little disappointed, honestly..." Orion replied as he frowned. This was not him just trying to irritate Voldemort; he was genuinely disappointed.

He looked at his wand and pondered how he easily stopped the attack. The attack didn't even take double-digit power usage from him to block.

'Did I really get too strong?'
