It has been three days since George made his public love confession to me. It was really an unforgettable evening. Everyone had one or two to say about it.
Sebastian has been calm since that day. It was more like that night opened his eyes to things he never saw in the past.
He was alone at the lounge, trying to distract himself with his system. Liam decided to check up on him. He sat next to Sebastian on the couch, giving him side stares.
"You've made the lounge your comfort zone these days." Liam said to him.
"Yeah. I'm very busy." Sebastian said to him.
"Or you're trying to forget about what happened at George's place that night?". Liam reminded him.
Sebastian kept quiet for a while, before giving Liam a response. He remembered that incident again, and it was obvious he never healed from it.
"I don't care at all. When did we get here?". Sebastian asked Liam.
"I should be asking you that. When did the things Bianca does start affecting you?". Liam asked him.
Sebastian tried laughing it away, but Liam was being serious now. He obviously knows what it means to be in love. Sebastian might not understand what he's feeling now, because he is confused and he's not used to those feelings.
"What do you mean Liam?". Sebastian asked him.
"Isn't it obvious that you've fallen in love with Bianca without realizing it?". Liam asked him.
Sebastian shook his head rigorously, disagreeing with Liam's question. Liam teased him, trying to explain everything to him.
"Love is tricky. It sure has its way of crippling someone. You're in love with Bianca." Liam said to him.
"I cannot be in love with her." Sebastian replied him.
"You never wanted any of this to happen, but you're not in charge of what your heart should feel or not." Liam said to him.
Sebastian was left with so many thoughts going through his mind. He was getting weak emotionally and whatever he felt, was putting him in a corner he didn't like. He was still battling with those feelings in his head, hoping that it doesn't turn out to be true.
**At Jasmine's place**
I was assisting mother with arranging the evidences we have gathered in the past weeks. While we were working silently, she was secretly glancing at me. I obviously saw her, but pretended like I didn't. I finally decided to open up.
"Mum you keep looking at me. Have I gotten a disease on my face?". I asked her.
"No. I'm just sorry for you." She said to me.
"Why do you say so mum?". I asked her surprisedly.
She shifted the stacked evidences at a corner, ready to have that conversation she had in her head with me. It obviously seemed like she wanted to say something from the start.
"What do you intend doing now?". She asked me.
"About what mum?". I asked her back with a confused look.
"George's proposal to you." She revealed.
I rolled my eyes, getting bored from the topic again. I already thought it had ended, but now she had to bring it up again. She looked at me, expecting me to answer her question.
"I have no interest in George." I opened up to her.
"So that means it's a no?". She asked me.
I nodded my head, looking at the ground. While we were still having our conversation, Jasmine entered inside. It seemed like she has been eavesdropping on us for a while now.
Mum decided to change the topic but it was too late. She heard everything already.
"Jasmine." Mum called out her name with shock.
"Don't pretend now aunt. I overheard your conversation with Bianca." She said to her.
I looked at Jasmine with a dead stare, wondering the reason she was reacting in such manner. She joined us, dragging a chair next to me.
"So what if you did?". I asked her.
"George is the right man for you. He's the only one you should be with." She said to me.
I chuckled at her words, disagreeing with her. She haven't been happy since last night I rejected George's proposal. She's been trying to change my mind.
"Why are you lying to yourself Jasmine?". I asked her keenly.
"You're the one doing so." Jasmine said to me.
"Enough of the fightings please." Mum pleaded with us.
On the other hand was Zoey, in some deep conversations with her friends during their afternoon study class at the school's library. She was obviously worried from yesterday's.
"I seriously don't understand my mum's best friend anymore." Zoey said to them frustratedly.
"What's wrong now?". Mia asked her.
"She's trying her best to set my mum up with Mr George." Zoey revealed.
They looked at themselves, wondering who he was. They have never heard that name before, because Zoey never brought it up to them. It was clear that they were confused about what she was talking about.
"Who's Mr George? We only know about Mr Sebastian, the man you want to ditch with your mum." Hannah said.
"Mr George is a CEO of Georgian company Ltd." Zoey revealed.
That company rang a bell in Yvette's ears. It seemed like she had an idea about the company. She snapped her fingers, while Zoey and the rest looked at her confusedly.
"What's that?". They asked in unison.
"My dad is a best friend with the manager of the company." She revealed.
"That must be Mr George then." Zoey said, rolling her eyes away.
"Is that his name?". Yvette asked.
Zoey nodded her head, while Yvette looked at her in awe and with a surprise on her face. She was wondering how I got to know George and it was obvious she was curious to know.
"Oh my goodness." She exclaimed.
"How did your mum get to know such an influential being?". She asked Zoey.
Zoey got pissed off by that question, because it was more like Yvette was undermining me. Zoey stared at her angrily, while Yvette avoided those looks. It was more like Zoey wanted to cut off her tongue right now.
"Are you indirectly throwing jabs at my mum?". Zoey asked her.
"Not at all. I'm sorry if my tone didn't sound right." Yvette apologized.
"You're fond of this behavior." Mia said to Yvette.
Zoey breathed in deeply, still pondering on her sadness. She was glad she didn't let Yvette's annoying behavior get to her.
"So what about Mr Sebastian?". Mia asked her.
"I feel bad for him. I wonder how he felt at the dinner party yesterday." Zoey said with a sad voice.
"If you really want him for your mum, then don't give up." Hannah advised her.
Zoey was glad to hear that, and it made her feel like she had supportive people by her side. Yvette remained mute through out the remaining conversations. Her wrong made her feel guilty and she obviously knew that she was trying to mock me. Yvette was the wealthiest in their circle, and she had a bad habit of underrating her friends once in a while.
Zoey heed to her friends encouragements, and decided to take the bull by its horns.
