Chapter 33 - "MUM, I'M SORRY"

Mum informed me that she would like to come over to Manchester and stay with me during this period. I was scared that she will find out about Zoey, but I had no choice but to agree to her request.

I went over to the bus stand, to pick her up.

Getting there, I saw mother coming down from a bus she entered in London. I hurriedly approached her, giving her a big hug. She was happy to see me. I helped her in carrying her luggages.

I boarded a taxi, that dropped us infront of Jasmine's apartment.

Knocking at the entrance door, Zoey was went over to the door to open the door for us. I wasn't expecting her to open the door, but Jasmine. Mum have already started giving her some nasty looks, wondering who she was. I told mum earlier at London, that I wasn't married as everyone thought, so she was surprised to see a little girl open the door for us.

"Mum, I have been searching for you since morning." Zoey said to me, while mother gave me a deadly look.

"Mum?". Mother asked me.

"Mother, please I'll explain everything to you." I said to her, going inside.

Zoey stood at a corner, looking at mother. She wondered who she was, and what she was doing in our apartment. Mother followed me behind, while I showed her my bedroom. I have already transferred some of my things over to Jasmine's bedroom. Mother would be sleeping in my bedroom for now, till she's ready to return back to London.

**At my bedroom**

I dropped her luggages at a corner of the room, while mother was standing at the entrance door, waiting for an explanation. I turned towards her direction, heaving out a sigh.

"So tell me, who's that little girl?". She asked again.

I dragged her inside the bedroom, locking the door from inside. I did that, so that Zoey wouldn't hear our conversation. It was obviously a secret that I wanted to reveal to mum. I was ready to tell her everything.

"That girl is your grand daughter. Sebastian's child." I exposed the truth to her.

"What!!! Are you joking?". She asked in shock.

"You wanted to hear the truth right?, That's the truth." I answered.

Mother sat on the bed, wiping off the sweats on her face. She couldn't still believe her ears. All that she heard sounded more like a dream to her. She pinched her skin so hard, realizing that she wasn't actually dreaming.

"Why didn't you tell me I have a grand daughter all these while?." She asked me.

"This is a secret. No one knows about this." I opened up.

"Even Sebastian?". She asked surprisedly.

I nodded my head, while she was still in shock. We heard a knock at the door, and I exchanged glances with mother. I pleaded with her to keep shut, and she agreed. I unlocked the door, and Zoey entered inside.

"Mum, who's she?". Zoey asked curiously.

"She's your grand mother." I revealed.

Zoey was very happy to hear that, because she haven't seen any of my family member before. Her eyes lightened up with happiness, while mum was still staring at her. Zoey approached mother on the bed, sitting next to her. Mother grabbed her hands, staring into Zoey's eyes. She could clearly see her reflection on Zoey's face. Both of them looked alike so much.

"Grand mother." Zoey called her with a smile.

"Grand daughter." Mum called her back with smiles and tears in her eyes.

"Don't cry grand ma." Zoey shunned her with so much affections in her voice, wiping off the tears on mother's eyes.

I stood at a corner watching the lovely bond between a grand mother and her grand child. I was glad that mum accepted her with love, and didn't scold at me like I expected her to.

**Two hours later**

I decided to show mum round Manchester, as she have never been to this city before. On our way down the streets, we got stopped by none other than Sebastian, that finally agreed to reveal himself to me after the incidence.

"Oh I see, Mrs Mowers you're also aware of this right?". He asked, surprised to see her.

"The remaining hours of my day would be filled with badluck, now that I've set my eyes on you." Mum said to him.

"What do you want to say Sebastian?". I asked him angrily.

Sebastian faced me this time, and I could see a deadly anger written on his face. I returned back those wicked stares. I wasn't going to allow his stares pull me down. He successfully did that in the past, but not anymore.

"I hope you're satisfied now?." He asked me.

"Not yet. I'll be satisfied, when I win this case." I confidently replied.

"Who said that you'll win it?". He asked sarcastically.

I walked up to him, poking at his face with my finger. He grabbed my hand, while I struggled to get freed from his clenches. Sebastian smiled at me wickedly, while mum tried pulling out my hand from his clench, but she couldn't.

"You might not finish this case alive." Sebastian gave a bad remark.

"I will Sebastian. Or are you planning to get rid of me?". I asked him.

"You said that yourself." Sebastian trickingly answered.

He left my hand, while I rubbed my wrist with my left hand. His grip was really a painful one. Sebastian is really toxic and inhumane. Sebastian walked out of us, while mother pulled me to her sidd. She turned me towards her, while I looked at her face.

"What is he doing here? When did he relocate to Manchester?". She asked.

"I don't know. He's even closer to my daughter now. I wonder what will happen when he finds out the truth." I said.

Mother shook her head, assuring me that nothing would go wrong. I joined her to continue our stroll that got interrupted by Sebastian.

Sebastian returned back to his apartment, to gossip about me again to Liam. Liam haven't even said a word to him, about our last meeting.

Liam was in his bedroom, arranging his dried clothes into his box when Sebastian got in. Sebastian was looking so worried, and Liam wondered what might be wrong.

"Sebastian why is your face so dull?". Liam asked concernedly.

"She has finally decided to bring all her family members over here." Sebastian complained.

"Who? You mean Bianca?". Liam asked him.

Sebastian nodded his head, while Liam bursted out in laughter. He wondered the reason it was putting Sebastian into lots of thinking. Sebastian couldn't stop muttering to himself. My mum's presence was really disturbing him and one would think he has gotten weak all of a sudden.
