Zoey refused from following me back home, and decided to stay in Mia's house for the mean time. I had no choice but to allow her stay over there, since her family were close friends of mine.
Unknown to me, Zoey followed from there to Sebastian's house. She have been staying with him for few days now. Sebastian accepted her, irrespective of the fact that I pulled up a case against him.
I found out about this through Aina. I decided to go find out by myself, through the escort of Jasmine.
Getting over to Sebastian's apartment, I took in a deep breath. I didn't want to associate with that monster, especially now that I was in a case with him.
★★Sebastain's apartment★★
"Knock, knock." Jasmine knocked on the door.
"I'm coming." A voice said from inside.
It was Liam that opened the door for us. He welcomed us in, but I refused to enter into Sebastian's house. I only came over for the sake of my daughter. I requested for my daughter, and Liam called the attention of Sebastian and Zoey.
Sebastian held Zoey's hand to spike me on purpose. Zoey was feeling guilty, and I have just lost my powers as a mother.
"You are now using my child against me right?". I asked him angrily.
"She came on her own free will. She just prefers me to you." Sebastian scorned me.
"He's right. Nobody forced me here mum. I just wanted to stay here." Zoey said to me.
I raised my hand up to hit her face, but Sebastian stopped me. I pulled out my hand from his clench, while Jasmine pleaded with me to keep my cool.
"You're despicable. You want to break a mother and child relationship." Jasmine said to him.
"Mind your business." Sebastian warned her.
"If this is a trap, to make you win the case then you lie. I'll surely bring you and your family down." I challenged him.
Zoey exchanged glances with me, while I looked away angrily. Sebastian smiled wickedly, while I heaved out a sigh. Liam was tired of the fight between us, and he was already seeing a light.
"Can't the two of you just stop fighting?". Liam asked.
"Mum, you really want to bring him down?". Zoey asked me.
"Your mum is wicked. I'm glad you didn't take that trait from her." Sebastian said to Zoey.
Zoey shook her head, going inside. Sebastian followed her inside, while Liam remained with us outside the apartment. He could see how stressed out I was already. Liam went in, to get a bottle of water for me but I rejected his offer.
"Liam don't bother at all." I shunned him.
"I don't like these unnecessary fights." Liam said.
"Sebastian started it. I'll end this fight." I said.
"Seriously, he's acting like he's your child's father because why is he interested in her?". Liam said out of the blues.
I exchanged glances with Jasmine, while she gave me an eye sign. I was surprised to hear that from Liam, but thankfully, he knew nothing about the truth. I coughed out loud, while Liam offered to help me out with the water in his hand. I had no choice but to collect it from him.
"Thank you Liam." I appreciatedly said.
"You started coughing after what I said." Liam said.
"You talk a lot. She coughed because she has cold." Jasmine covered up for me.
Liam was surprised to hear that, and he wanted to find out if it was true. He held my palms, noticing that they were white in colour. He felt my neck with the back of his hand, feeling my body temperature. Everything was okay, but he still wanted to be sure I was okay.
"Are you stressing yourself too much these days?". He asked me concernedly.
"I'm fine Liam. Sebastian should be prepared, I will be coming for my daughter soon." I said.
"Please take good care of yourself." Liam advised me.
I left Sebastian's apartment with Jasmine, heading back home.
Getting home, I threw my butt to a couch at the living room while Jasmine sat next to me. Thankfully, Liam found out about nothing.
"Liam gets overly suspicious these days." Jasmine noticed.
"We are being extremely careful." I said to her.
"What about now that Zoey is at his place?". Jasmine reminded me.
I felt very tired again, and I seriously had no clue to figure myself out. Mum heard some noise at the living room, and decided to join us. She sat at another couch that was facing us. She obviously had no idea that we went over to Sebastian's apartment earlier.
"Where did the both of you go to?". She asked inquisitively.
"Sebastian's place. Zoey is finally at her father's place." I replied exhaustedly.
Jasmine tried covering my mouth, but she had no idea that mother already knew the truth. I stopped her from doing so, while mum stared at me, very surprised by my response to her.
"You just exposed the truth." Jasmine whisphered to me.
"She knows." I whisphered back to her.
"How did she end up there? Wasn't she meant to be at her friend's house?". Mum asked me.
I nodded my head, also surprised how she ended up there. She shook her head disappointingly, while I noticed her cold look. She hated the fact Zoey was staying with Sebastian at the moment.
She didn't want her to associate herself with someone as toxic like Sebastian.
"I don't know how you wanna do it,but I need my grand daughter back home." Mum said with authority in her voice.
"But mum how? You know that it's not going to be that easy."I nagged.
"Should I do it by myself then?". She asked me.
I exchanged glances with Jasmine, returning mother's looks with our surprised looks. Both of us started laughing, though we knew that nothing was actually funny right now. Zoey would obviously see mother as a hard woman, and might end up distancing herself from mum. They just started bonding recently, and I didn't want anything that would make them lose that bond.
"No mum. That's really not a good idea." I replied.
"Aunt, won't Zoey feel uncomfortable about this?". Jasmine asked her.
"She's just a little girl. I'll grab her ass and bring her back home." Mum said.
"There's nothing to get bothered about." She added.
★★Sebastain's Apartment★★
Zoey was playing with a Roblox at the living room, trying to distract herself with that, while Liam and Sebastian sat on the other couch complaining about what happened earlier.
"You seem just cool right now." Liam said to her.
"What should I say?". Zoey replied him back with a question, giving him a confused stare.
"Don't start up a fight with her please." Sebastian said to Liam.
"She should go back home. Bianca is even sick. She was coughing so bad earlier at the door." Liam said.
Zoey was surprised after hearing that. It was very obvious from the sudden change of her face, that she was worried about me. She tried her best to hide her emotions, but Sebastian could easily read those feelings. Sebastian showed no sympathy for me, and actually loved the fact he was getting back at me with my own daughter.
