Sebastian had temporarily relocated to Manchester for some few months, due to the condition of his occupation. He was in Manchester, to complete a signed contract with his business partner Mr Baker Holmes. The business contract, was going to be a very big success to his company and that of his father's.
Sebastian was here in the city I was currently living.
Sebastian had given up on getting married or having series of set up relationships by his parents, because he had grown to understand the real basis of life now. He was giving his hundred percent to his business and to things that were of more importance to him. His presence at Manchester was really disturbing, because he would one way or the other get to find out I currently base here at Manchester city.
★★His New Place★★
Hazel gave Sebastian the phone number of a house agent she knew long time ago, when she visited Manchester city in the past. Sebastian contacted him, and it was easy for him to find a house on his arrival to Manchester. He settled his house rent with the landlord of the apartment, and successfully relocated in there.
Unfortunately, it was in the same neighborhood where Jasmine's house was at. Fate was really playing a fast one on me. His apartment was a bit long distance from mine.
Unpacking his luggages that were infront of his apartment, He bumped into Zoey. Zoey had seen him on her way to get some cereals for herself from a supermarket, down the streets. She noticed he was still unpacking his stuffs, even after she was done getting the cereals she needed. She decided to approach him, and lend a helping hand to him.
"Good morning Sir." She greeted him.
"Oh hi young girl." He replied her with a smile, turning his head backwards.
"I guess you are new here. Can I help you out with those?". She asked him.
Sebastian refused at first, but decided to let her help him out. He had already loved her at first sight, having no idea that the young girl before him was his own biological daughter. Zoey joined hands with him, carrying his luggages into his apartment. She noticed his apartment was bigger than ours and she loved everything about the inner decor.
After a successful packing, they chit chatted over a meal Sebastian ordered from a nearby eatery for both of them. Sebastian had already fallen deeply in love with her personality and it was just fate playing a smart one on me.
"I'm Zoey Sir and you?". Zoey asked him with a smile.
"...Uhm..just call me cute uncle. I deserve the name right?". He asked her laughing.
"Yes you are. Cute Uncle." Zoey called him.
Both of them laughed at the silly name he suggested. Their bond on the first day of meeting, was very surprising. They were more like they have known themselves even before now. Sebastian gifted her some money which she appreciated.
Thankfully, she didn't disclose much to him or I would have been in a whole lot of trouble.
Zoey returned home later on, looking so lively unlike before.
"Zoey, why are you late from the supermarket?". I asked worriedly.
"Mum, we've a neighbor. He's really nice." Zoey replied me.
"A he?!!!." I exclaimed.
Zoey nodded at me with a wide smile, while I looked at her suspiciously. I wondered if she was having a boyfriend at such a little age now. I dragged her into the living room, sitting her butt down on a couch. I sat next to her, cupping her face. I was seriously anxious to know about the 'he' in question. Zoey felt like I was doing too much and she couldn't wait to explain herself further.
"Tell me, who is that man or boy you were talking 'bout earlier?". I asked her worriedly.
"Chill mum. He's a grown up man. My new friend now." She said to me happily.
"Stay away from men. Don't make any new friend with any guy." I warned her.
Zoey shook her in refusal, but I wasn't kidding with her. She took a remote lying next to her on the couch, switching on a television before us. I kept giving her some side eyes, wondering who this particular man was.
Luckily for me, Jasmine arrived sooner and she was the one I needed to talk to, about Zoey's madness. Sighting Jasmine entering into the house, I left Zoey at the living room, walking towards Jasmine.
"Bianca, you look very upset. Are you being troubled again?". She asked.
"Obviously. Zoey made a new friend with a man." I replied.
"A man?!!!." She exclaimed.
I nodded my head, and that was the same way I reacted too, when Zoey told me about her new friend. Jasmine tried confronting her, but I stopped her. Zoey was being distracted from her predicaments now by watching a movie, so I didn't want anyone to interrupt that. Jasmine blinked her eyes severally at me, dragging my hands alongside with her. I followed her to the kitchen room, where I stood watching her unpack the groceries she returned home with.
"So tell me, who's the man?". Jasmine asked me.
"She said that he's new here." I replied.
"Oh! I heard some people at the neighborhood talking about him. I never met him, but they described him as a handsome looking young man." Jasmine narrated.
I wasn't interested to know about his looks, because ever since Sebastian broke me, I had no interest talking about men. My only worries, were the fact my daughter was entangled in this mess. Of all the male genders here, she made friends with a man obviously far older than she's.
Zoey later joined us at the kitchen room, looking at us very surprised. We changed the topic after her entrance into the kitchen.
"Aunt Jasmine, I didn't know you were back from the grocery store already." Zoey said to her.
"Yes I'm. You seem so happy. Tell me about it." Jasmine tricked her into speaking her mind.
"Didn't mum tell you?". She asked.
I exchanged glances with Jasmine, while Zoey stared at us confusedly. Zoey heaved out a heavy sigh, standing between us now. She looked up at me, looking at my face. I gave her back the stares, wondering what's going through her mind. Zoey was a very smart child and can easily detect things from just observing her environment. I was smarter, because I was her mother afterall.
"Bianca told me nothing. Are you hiding something from me now?". She asked Zoey.
"Mmhmm...not really. I made a new friend and he's a man." Zoey replied.
Jasmine was surprised and it was at that time, she realized I was actually being serious about Zoey. Zoey had never spoken about having a male friend to I and Jasmine, so it daunted on Jasmine a bit. Zoey was already getting bored in there, and decided to let us be. She left the kitchen room, while I raised my brows at Jasmine. Jasmine was still in shock.
"When did Zoey start making male friends at the neighborhood?". Jasmine asked me.
"She moving so strange these days."I replied her.
"Maybe we should get to meet the new guy she's talking about." Jasmine suggested.
I nodded my head, still pondering on everything happening lately. I really agreed with Jasmine, because I wouldn't just let my daughter bond with a random man she just got to know recently.
