I was already off to a bus stand to board a bus going to Manchester City. I had some of my luggages with me and I didn't give mum a phone call telling her about my sudden departure. It wasn't part of the plan to hurt mother's feelings but I was running away from everything relating to Sebastian.
It was a journey of several hours and I ate some hot junks inside the bus to feel less hungrier than I already was. The journey lasted for a maximum of eight hours and I could finally see a signboard from afar having the inscription of Manchester city on it. I beamed a smile to myself knowing that I would finally be free from all my problems soon.
Getting to bus stand, the bus stopped us while all the passengers came down from the bus including me. My best friend was already at the bus stand waiting for me. I could sight her at a corner keeping herself busy with a stick ice cream.
"Jasmine..." I called out her name from afar.
Gasping out, Jasmine heard her name looking around to see the person calling out to her. She caught a glimpse of me where I was standing from afar staring at her struggling with my luggages all by myself. Jasmine left where she was, running towards me. I opened my arms wide as she flew into my arms wrapping her hands round my waist. She was very glad to see me and one could clearly see that. Jasmine cupped my face blowing kisses all over my face. I dragged her head forward giving her a forehead kiss.
"I missed you a lot Bianca. It's been two years since I laid my eyes on you." Jasmine said to me.
"Me too Jasmine." I replied her.
Jasmine helped me in carrying my luggages while I followed her behind going down the streets to board a taxi. We got a cab that we entered. It drove us to Jasmine's house and she lived in a serene area. I really missed Jasmine alot alongside with Manchester. I was relocating permanently now unlike when I always come over to visit my bestfriend for some temporary times.
Jasmine showed me the room I would be staying at while living in her home for now. It really looked beautiful and cool. I enjoyed the aesthetics of the room and how it matched up with the wall paintings of the bedroom.
After unpacking my things, I went over to the dinning room to have lunch with Jasmine. We had some friendly discussions while we ate our foods.
"How were you able to cope?". She asked me.
"I would overcome. That's in the past now."I replied her.
While we were discussing, I heard the ringing of my phone lying ontop of the dinning table. I picked up my phone realizing that it was my mum calling. I exchanged glances with Jasmine while she raised her brows at me giving me a go ahead to pick up the call. I wiped off the food stains on my lips with a help of a rolled serviette. I left the dinning room to answer mum's call.
"Hello mum."I said.
"Bianca you told me you would be coming home today so where are you?". Mum asked me.
I felt the beating of my heart and I had nothing to say to her at the moment. Anyways, I was going to embrace myself and just tell her the reality of things. It was time for her to know that the toxic relationship between I and Sebastian was never going to lead anywhere. I heaved out a heavy sigh, before giving her back a reply.
"Mum I'm out of our city Birmingham."
"I called off my relationship with Sebastian and I relocated to somewhere I can't disclose to anyone for now." I added.
"What!!!!!....". Mother screamed out in exclamation.
I frustratingly cut the phone call because I didn't want mother to emotionally blackmail me now. I beat my chest severally before returning back into the house. Jasmine decided not to ask me about anything since I was already tensed.
Mother hurriedly rushed to father's court to inform him about the sudden information I had given to her. She couldn't stop panicking and it was really disturbing. Mother always panick at little things especially now it was really a big issue.
"Have you seen a ghost?." He asked her.
"Bianca is out of the city. She ran away from us."Mum revealed to him.
Father rose up from a chair he sat on looking at her very confused. He tried reaching out to me through a phone call but my number wasn't dialing through. I had shut my phone for the meantime to prevent anyone from disturbing my peace of mind. I knew she would inform father and that was the only way to escape from all these.
"She isn't picking up my call. I guess she switched off her phone on a purpose." Father said to mum.
"What happened between those two? Haven't she been enduring since, so why now?" Mum asked cluelessly.
The Kurtz came over to our house to discuss about my sudden disappearance and Sebastian came along with them. He was the one I saw last before departing for Manchester city. He was acting as though he knew nothing about my disappearance but unknown to him, I have already told mother that I had left because of him. Mum was sobbing in father's arms because she couldn't stop worrying about my whereabouts.
"June you shouldn't cry now because she wasn't abducted." Mrs Kurtz said.
"My daughter left permanently." Mum cried out.
"Sebastian aren't you worried about your fiancee?". His mum asked him.
Sebastian stared at her confusingly because he didn't care about wherever I had gone to in his honest opinion. He was bad at pretending so he wouldn't put up a cover up because of someone like me who he had no strings attached to. Sebastian tried bribing his mum with a smile but everyone could see clearly that he wasn't bothered about me at all.
"I don't know what you want me to do. She has chosen her own path so good for her." He replied his mum foolishly.
"Can you listen to yourself huh?".Mr Kurtz asked him.
"Maybe we shouldn't have used our poor daughter as a means of repaying back the favor afterall." Father said to them regretfully.
Everyone at the sitting room was confused and looking for ways to find me. My departure was going to bring disgrace to both families more especially to the Kurtz. They wanted to protect their faces when facing the crowd and not being questioned by them. They couldn't bear the fact that the upcoming marriage they sang in praise would die down because of my sudden demise.
.......
The next day, Sebastian, Oliver and Liam met at their usual bar spot to discuss about my sudden disappearance. Sebastian was enjoying himself with few shots, while Liam stared at him lost in thoughts.
"I know Bianca too well. She won't just disappear, if you didn't treat her bad as usual." Liam said to him.
"Liam please let me be. Everywhere I go Bianca. Can't I rest?". He shouted at Liam frustratedly.
Liam kept mute immediately, exchanging glances with Oliver. Oliver poured a shot for himself, gulping it down in a row. He didn't want to get involved about this particular issue again.
