"Woah. Does this uniform have a charm enchantment or something?"
Noir inspected himself in the mirror, suddenly feeling narcissistic as he looked at his reflection.
The brown blazer on top of his white shirt hugged his body fittingly. His medium-cut hair acted as wild as it could, like a wolf. He spared no effort to style his hair because he thought it was already good.
With his eyes being sharper and golden colored, Noir looked like a wolf.
He could become a werewolf naturally (without transforming) if his build was bigger and hairy.
But... let's not imagine that.
Slightly twisting his waist, Noir could see the academy crest sewn on the back. It was a pair of white wings, like an angel's.
As Noir looked at the crest, he recalled the senior who watched the ceremony yesterday. He wondered why he would leave the scene just because a new student spotted him.
'Did he feel ashamed because someone noticed him? Maybe he is afraid I'm going to report him?'
Touching his lower ear, Noir tried to picture the senior's face. But no matter how hard he recalled, he only remembered his eye's shape and color.
'For a man, he really has bewitching eyes that are no less than Argent's.'
Long eyelashes like those of a girl...
Cold and sharp gazes that pierced his own at the first contact...
And more importantly, the iris that seemed like a ruby, its color as well, was out of the world.
Forgetting those eyes was impossible to begin with, at least for Noir, who had something for eyes.
He was really weird sometimes...
Shaking the thought away, Noir looked at the mirror for the last time. After that, he went to the lobby and used the Flash to get to the Majesty City in no time.
Arriving at the Majesty City's Flash building, Noir took the Wonder Bus to the Virgo Academy.
It was not even a minute since he got on the bus, but he already felt gazes were thrown at him. If it was the past Noir, he would be pressured and thought that they were hostile to him.
However, for the current Noir, he could perceive those gazes weren't hostile or trying to ridicule him. Rather, they were just curious and mesmerized.
A change in perspective was truly fascinating...
20 minutes had passed, and when Noir was about to get off the bus, his neck hair stood up as he felt an intense gaze directed at him.
The intensity was more than the usual gaze he received from the bullies in the camp, but it was more like someone who had a grudge and despised him to the core.
Who could it be?
As far as Noir knew, he didn't have that kind of nemesis in his life. So, what was that feeling from earlier?
Despite looking around and trying to spot them, it immediately disappeared the moment he did that.
'Haha...' he chuckled inwardly. 'What is it? A stalker is being stalked by another stalker?'
In the end, he was left wondering about the gaze.
But that didn't linger for long as it quickly faded after he arrived in front of the Virgo Academy gate.
'Indeed. Compared to the Capricorn gate, it's like heaven and earth.'
Grandiose. That word alone was enough to describe it.
Well... it didn't mean the Capricorn was a run-down academy. It was that the Virgo was grander than the others.
As Noir walked, passing the gate while blending in with the crowd of students, he was reminded of the special test as the owner of non-combat Resonance.
Before taking the test, Noir was required to give the details about his Resonance.
At first, he was hesitant because there was an unspoken rule to not tell anyone about your ability. However, after the vice-head personally asked him and promised him a protection secret, Noir finally told them.
Surprisingly, they were bewildered as soon as they heard Noir's explanation.
"It's not the time for a joke, Noir Teundre."
"I'm not, though? That's what's written here."
Noir noticed the confused faces on the examiner's and the League vice-head's faces but didn't say anything.
After a while, they commenced the test for Noir, and he passed it easily.
'I was going to lie about it,' he thought. 'But, it seems like I made a good choice by telling them the truth.'
He wanted to confirm something.
It was about the Resonance's description.
While reading the top-secret data in the library, Noir found something shocking for him, who was different from the others.
What's so different about him from the others? It's his Resonance, precisely its description.
Noir had looked into 10 different top-ranking Resonants, and all of them had similarities that differed from him in terms of their Resonance's description.
Theirs was much simpler and objective, while Noir's looked like it was telling a story.
'Commander is the strategic mastermind on the battlefield. With a keen understanding of tactics and leadership skills, Commanders excel at orchestrating their team's movements and maximizing their strengths... that's the description of one of the clan leaders I read. It's different from mine.'
'One thing I can tell is that the others don't have the word 'you' in the description.'
Maybe that was what made the examiner and the vice-head confused.
In the end, all was good. Noir could confirm his suspicion about the type of description, which he divided into two categories: objective and lore. The other parties also gained new information from him and could start the special test.
But...
'Did I just advertise myself as a figure that needs to be paid attention to?' Noir massaged his nose. 'Haa... curiosity kills the cat.'

All the students gathered in the auditorium, which could hold up to 1000 people.
Sitting among hundreds of students, Noir examined the interior and was amazed by it.
'This building is unnecessarily big for an academy that only accepts the best students.'
That's true. For an academy that accepted less than 300 students each year, that place was too large for them.
'Even if we count all the students from the first year until the third year, the auditorium will still have a space for, let's say, a few buses?'
Snickering, Noir leaned on his chair.
'Well... not that I care about that,' he said inwardly. 'What I care about is...'
His eyes set onto the platform in front of the seat audience.
'Those guys.'
The potential protagonist.
