~ DE EL ~
No, she is no Luna. Her aura gave of a familiar scent of blood that I did not want anything to do with but while Leo pleaded with the Queen's and Upperclassmen, I was still looking at the girl standing in the distance. There was only one explanation for this… she is got me and I know why… it's cos she is smoking hot.
'I can hear your thoughts De El and I do not like where they are going.'
*You can see the lady too can't you? Do not tell me you are aloof about her. *
'She is Leo's girl. Soon to be actually.' Elish said. I could hear the weakness to fight me in his voice. I smirked.
*Elish I Forgot to tell you. Werewolves take whatever they want.*
And up on my feet, I went, Moving forward.
"Where are you going fresher?" one of the upperclassmen grabbed my shoulder, I caught him by the wrist and broke it.
"Ahhhhh!!!!"
The boy screamed grabbing him hand. The others were alert immediately but when they saw the finger bone sticking out of his hand, fear froze their feet.
Every other person around that heard the scream and the boy's cries started coming closer. They did not see what I did because the Queen's had covered me so no one cared to glance my way as I was leaving the scene.
Our eyes were still locked. Even in all this ruckus, she still stood where she was coldly and I liked that.
The crowd behind me, I was close to her now.
"Elish?"
"Mmh." I replied her that way.
"You seem different today. I did not see you to be the type to draw attention."
I leaned closer, the tips of our noses almost touching. She saw my eyes and she knew immediately that I wasn't looking at any desent part of her.
"Look who is talking." I whisphered.
She let out an exasperated smile. "So you are a jerk now. That explains the picture of you circulating."
"If jerks are your type then I am." She scoffed. I could literally hear her say 'you gotta be kidding me'
"You are not my type."
I smiled.
"But I want you. What do we do about that?"
She frowned. I really struck a nerve this time and surprisingly, I was dying to see what she would do next. Her hand flew fast immediately. I didn't see it. That surprised me but when her fingers stuck my flesh, my excitement reached the peak.
Her audacity, looking in the mists in my eyes and she still had power. She was no ordinary woman. With the hair, skin and looks of a growing Luna, she intrigued me indeed.
I reached out and grabbed her hand. She struggled to break free but I did not even need to try and she was trapped. She could see that too. I kissed her hand.
"You are some woman. Wait for me. I will come back for you. I already want you. You will too when I am done." She did not so anything anymore. Allowing me to let press her hand on her skirt and turn back.
It was like the bell knew the it was time for the show to be over now. It blazed immediately, echoing through the halls and into the front of the school. Students began to disburse. The upperclassmen took their wounded with them heading for the school nurse. I was walking towards Leo. It was time to let Elish back.
~ ELISH ~
Leo was not smiling when I got to him. "Dude, I thought I told you lay low. Why did you break his wrist. Like his hands decapitated for Life. Since when did you stop having a conscience."
"I laid low just like you said. They came to me first. They were bullies, that one in particular. I have no intention of keeping my cool with people like them."
Leo could not say anything against it anymore even though he knew I did something bad.
'Huh, I try and keep them away from you but you have to understand that this is how things work here. You start breaking wrists you will end up breaking yours too because everyone can be a bully sometimes. I am not saying they are right."
I was glad he said that because I was beginning to feel he was siding for his race. "I am just saying do not stoop so low as to soiling your hands with filt. Let the school garbage collectors handle them."
"What if they can't?" I asked him.
"Then you fight back but you punish according to what they deserve and you do not get dirty with them like they got with others so you will never be like them." I heaved, I expected a more destructive reply.
"Leo, are you not going to class?" We both turned. Anamay was few steps away. Her destination the second building. Not ours.
"Yeah, I will." Leo answered sweetly.
"I am going now. Chat you later." She gave him a thumbs up and continued walking.
"I am going to have you take me to my class first before you go to yours. I hope you don't mind." I asked. Leo nodded in negation. The two of us start for the entrance of the school building.
… 4:30 pm…
"The first history that we will concern ourselves with this semester is the life of 'VonVal Don Venice'. He was a traveler from the Rome whose mother was polish and father was french. He lived till he was fifty-five when he went on his last adventure and vanished in to thin air. His one and only disciple, a slave he saved on the shore of America, was the one who wrote about his master's life after his master disappeared. Many critics…"
Mr. Williamor Steff wrote the word 'CRITICS' on the board to indicate that it was subtopic. I penned it down.
"They believe that the slave only wrote what he felt could be essential to the war for the liberation of slaves. This argument was backed by a line in the book 'Von's Voyages' where he wrote and I quote." Mr Williamor Steff began another venture on the board with his chalk and white powder stained hands.
"I shant deny the truth there in that all be men that are seen as not this ought it be seized, All trade et al of like beings." He ended it here and left the board to stand in front of us on the pavement. There was no sound coming from anyone anymore.
"Lets face it, Slavery has not ended and most likely will never end. So the question is not how to stop the trade of humans or how to even curb it; I believe we have heard enough of that plus it is not the primary problem of historians. We are more interested in the beginning than in the prevention slash solution."
"On this basics I want to ask you all, in your personal opinion, of you have a historical background to back your own that would be nice but mainly, just focus on delivering your opinion. Ok." He cleared his throat am d I found myself leaning over In rapt attention.
"Why did slavery begin?" There was a stir and murmur form the students. "I did not say 'How?' I said 'Why?' A little Clarification is in order at this moment."
The side talks increased volume. I had a thought but the topic of slaves made me really uneasy and I did not want to say the answer in my mind. Some how it just felt like it would come out too personal.
*I think you going to have to answer.*
"Hm?" I rose an eyebrow In slight surprise.
*See that book on his table* I looked.
*It is a copy of the 'Von's Voyages' he was talking about. We need to get that book. To read it*
I let out a chuckle. "I did not see you as the type to enjoy literature."
*I did not see you as the type to take my words as jokes.*
Seriousness returned to my tempo immediately. "What about the book?"
*That name tickles my fur. It means I have heard it before or something like that. Either way, We need to have it.*
"What do is say when I stand up then?"
*Whatever you feel like saying. I do not know what to have you say. I do not do words unless of course that book is a woman, then maybe I might be noble*
I felt the ludicrous grin.
"Bitch." He laughed to it a little then he returned to the issue on board. I rose my hand.
"Awwwww"
"Elish, Elish"
I Heard the animal noises behind me. Did I care… NO.
"Alright Elish." Mr Williamor Steff looked at me and called out my name. I tried to get out of my seat but his words were faster. "Oh no that will not be necessary. The class is quiet enough to hear you clearly from there."
"Plus up here seems to excite you more than necessary", he said those last words in a soliloquy that I heard clearly.
'Remind me to punish Leo for those knockoff pants'
*Noted*
"I think it's because a being that controls nothing is not living. All creatures want the power to decide the Fate of another being. To wield the power of a god or better still, to be God. For some people, having power over animals and plants is enough. For some it was that and some dominion over others like them. But some men; rich or poor, smart or dumb, black or white…" there was a disconcertion of racial prejudicial excitement in the audience behind me. I continued.
"They want to rule. To do as the wish to anything they lay their hands on, when, where and how ever. Slave trade is just another way to exercise this power they THINK they have." There was emphasis on the 'Think' and I made sure it was noticed.
Everyone was staring at me now. Mr Williamor Steff smiled. "Who wants Elish to be the course rep?" Everyone rose their hands immediately and a chorus of laughter spread across the room.
I laughed. For the first time since I came here, I found myself laughing. These beings were not my kind but still…
'You gotta admit. Humans are cool'
