He turned and start towards Elish. To think he even farted in class for a chance that did not even last for more than two minutes.
He took the corner and went straight. Elish was on the bench of the road. He was holding a book and looking about it when Leo came to him.
"Hey." Leo gave him a pat on the shoulder.
"Any bus so far?" Elish gave him a negative sign. "There was a bus before but it got too tired of waiting for you and left."
"Very funny, Elish." Leo was not in the mood for his sarcasm all. He Sat next to him.
Elish eyes were now on the book he was holding completely ignoring Leo. It was not an uncommon silence so Leo was comfortable.
His own attention on his phone Scrolling through some chats and trying to send a picture to Anamay but they heard the sound of the bus before he could do anything.
Oh yeah, we may not have told you but La Emirates college was actually inside a compound and encircled by a fence that was four miles away from the school building.
There was a big gate at the northern part of the fence where commercial vehicles move in and out of the school. You could never see a cab, a private vehicle, a bus come with in the compound unless it was allowed.
That's why they were waiting for a bus at the bus top inside the compound. Both on a seat which custom made roof over their heads.
The two boys went into the moving vehicle apparently they were the only ones left within the school area well at least the only ones who wanted a lift home.
Anamay had taken the cab. If he had realized that, they would not have let her leave alone.
He hated having to explain and justify his disobedience of the rules of the house all the time. But, even if he knew, could he stop her?
The way she paled like a transforming ghost and ran off as if she had spotted a witch Finder. There was no way he would be calling that woman back.
Leo rested his back on the Grey cushion seats of the bus, eyes on his phone. The memory of the grasses and the trees beside the physical health teachers office – he tried to recapture it.
He could only envision a normal green well planned garden food stop but he tried to dig in harder, hallucinations, if it were, usually have triggers. Which means something they reminded her of those memories.
'Wait'
The way the tree stood and the grass is littered away behind it. It looks a bit like the forest Where the cottage house was built. Maybe it was that.
Maybe it was the way she flashed her eyes and it's cause her brain to picture it as something else and before she could probably understand that it was not what she thought, the voices or maybe the invisible people started coming back again.
He heaved. If his deduction was right, then she really needs a therapist. That seemed to be the last bit of those thoughts, but Leo was studying psychology, so he just couldn't end those thoughts.
His knowledge and presumption could not let him keep still, could not let his mind take a pause. He sat up again and another thought process began to boot.
Elish was beside him, right beside him and Leo's thinking was distracting his reading. As dumb as This may seem it did not remove the fact that there was a way someone would be so restless, the ticking clocks in their brain with just navigate into loudspeaker.
"Leo your brain is noisy."
Elish steer a bit his body, eyes glued to the book, when he said that.
Leo gave him a 'what's this creep talking about' look.
"Do you know how many things you thought about in a space of 10 minutes? My guess is, it is not getting you the exact answer so you keep a processing it. My senses are very sharp Leo. I can literally hear your brain ticking from over here. What the hell are you trying to figure out? Do not tell me it is a quiz question because I know dumb you are." Leo smiled
'Can he hide anything from this guy'
they had gotten quite close during the hours they spent at the knock-off clothing shop. There he learned that Elish was in different with his words and bleak in his expression but it did not mean he did not care even a little.
"Anamay was acting weird," he are started, looking at his hands.
"I was talking to her then she gave a look back and next thing, she made a ghostly look and run for me to stop I think she saw a hallucination but I cannot quite piece together what will be the cause of it If really it was what it is and if she had a reason for it other than the incident of our home in the words."
Elish stopped Reading. A feeling of guilt was building up inside. He got it down and dispense it in the stomach.
"then ask her," Elish returned to his book. "online though. People talk more when they do not see face to face; bodily close, I mean."
"Are you sure she will respond. That she will talk about it?"
Elish slipped into Page eight.
"You are a psychologist. You have a patient now and you have seen a lot about her so you should not need face to face interaction to start work. Break her spirit, find her secret and kill her demons. Pretty simple."
"Easier said than done, Lord Eli…" those incomplete words struck his mind like a hammer. White light flash to his eyes. He saw a waterfall, the sea pouring into the cloud beneath.
The celestial air and the heavenly essence in the picture … light faded out immediately. The voice of Leo was hurdling at him, to being him back.
"I can hear you?" Elish answered Leo's incessant name calling. "What on earth happened just now. You suddenly black out like literally, your eyes turned peach black."
"Really?"
Elish peered at the bus window to watch his reflection. He saw it too, although fading now but certainly a presence of darkness had indeed eroded him. "I think I remembered something."
Leo turned to him. "Really?"
"Yeah. I saw Something like a waterfall but the way it was. I have never seen anything like it before. The way it was gushing out of a rock; you expect it to fall in to a lake or a sea below but it disappeared into the clouds."
"There was clouds beneath the water fall?" Leo asked him.
"Yeah. They looked just like the once you see up there."
Leo gave his lips a gentle stroke. If Elish had not manifested other things in the past he would have labeled him insane right now but… a waterfall above the heavens;
if it was really where his home was, then saying Elish not of this world would make it a lot easier to understand why he was the way he was.
"We are almost home. And we get back and settle down let's look at all the waterfalls on this earth.
Maybe because the memory came as a flash you were unable to tell that it was not falling on clouds. We will look into myths about that too. Just in case we…"
The boys noticed that the bus was slowing down. It's cut into Leo's words. The driver was going to make a stop. They would have to alight now.
"We will talk about it we get home." Leo said to Elish's agreement.
The pics of their bags comma Elish hugging the book on his hand. They got off the bus. Leo thanked the driver and tipped him. Elish was waiting by the side for him.
The bus began to move and Leo made towards him. Elish was making a turn now to start moving forward. Leo noticed the book on his hand for the first time.
"What is that?" Eli's stopped and turned. "What?"
"That book you are holding." Elish looked at the book. "Its just…"
*Do not tell him what it is*
Elish halted.
'What's the problem De El?'
*I don't have a good feeling about him getting hold of this book. Keep it from him*
Elish could try to inquire further but De El's spurs were like a guide to the unknown right now. He was not going to be Merlin in this situation.
"Its nothing." Love had come close now.
"Dude. I can not look at a ordinary book too. Why is everyone being so mean to me today."
"Don't be so dramatic. It's just a book." Elish reverted to continue down the road again.
Leo pulled a first, grabbing the book from the back but come on… with all the muscles on Elish's arms, there was an effortless application of strength to stop Leo from taking the book.
He's still continued to try. It became more like a joke now. Elish played along, letting the book go but Leo had given it a hard drag. Immediately the hold was withdrawn, Leo shot backwards, the book flew out of his hands into the air.
The pages scattered. The book opening to the center page in midair while the two attempted to catch it. An image of clouds and water from rocks falling into them, was painted on it. The book shut immediately it landed on Elish hands. None of them saw the picture.
