In the serene quiet of her balcony, Cassandra, surrounded by the crisp winter air, floated just above the surface of her swimming pool. Her gaze focused on the spell book in her hands, pages flipping effortlessly as if guided by some unseen force. A cup of coffee hovered beside her, sharing the mid-morning tranquility. Cassandra's keen eyes found the desired spell – the cloning spell.
"Here it is, the Imitatio Incantus." She said to herself, "This Jennifer woman is an educator, for that, she has my upmost respect and though she may not be present, I shall keep the passion for the only thing she loved alive."
Rising gracefully from her floating position, with her cup of coffee moving in tandem with her, she extended her hand outward. The inky black pocket dimension emerged in her palm, eagerly accepting the spell book. With a fluid motion, the pocket dimension closed.
Cassandra, in a quiet ballet of magical finesse, brought both her hands together, the tips of her fingers touched., brandishing delicate green strings as she gradually pulled them apart. The threads danced at her command, weaving a mesmerizing pattern in the air. With a fluid motion, she skillfully twirled her finger, intertwining the five strands into an intricate swirl.
In a mystical culmination, Cassandra's nimble fingers enveloped the glowing green ball formed by the interwoven strings. She pressed it gently against her forehead as it phased through her skull, and as she withdrew her hands, an ethereal strand of energy danced between her fingers . With a subtle grace, she cast this glowing energy onto the floor, and a remarkable transformation unfolded.
The released energy emanated a brilliant green luminescence, gracefully undergoing a profound metamorphosis to mirror Cassandra's every feature. Had her apartment not been on the highest point in the city, the radiant glow would undoubtedly have captivated the attention of all nearby observers.
After a brief moment, a flawless replica of Cassandra manifested before her. This copy encapsulated every nuance of her form—the curves, the short silky hair, the piercing eyes, and the powerfully intimidating yet inviting aura she effortlessly projected. It was an impeccable duplication.
Cassandra, having floated toward her counterpart, stepped onto the balcony decking.
"Hmm, not too shabby if I do say so myself. So long as I don't exert myself too much, it should hold for at least 48 hours," she remarked, gliding back into her apartment.

Maeve and Sebrina exited the coffee shop near their dorms. Savoring her coffee, Sebrina commented, "ughh... I don't know what I'd do without this place."
"Preach girl!" agreed Maeve.
Sebrina noticed Maeve's newfound happiness and inquired "You've been crazy happy lately, any progress on the magical girlfriend front?
"Wha- how'd you know that's why I'm happy" asked Maeve
"Maeve I've known you since we were fresh out the womb. When someone's got you acting up, trust me, I'll be the first to know. Now spill." said Sebrina.
Maeve hesitated, "Fine fine, well we kinda went on a date yester—"
"A date?! Like a for-real date? Well damn, things are moving faster than I thought they would. I was like, 70% sure you'd tank this," Sebrina exclaimed.
"Hey!" Maeve retorted.
"Sorry boo but it's true, you don't exactly have the best romantic track record. Remember that time that guy confessed to you and you threw up all over him. I'm pretty sure he even swallowed a little" said Sebrina, covering her mouth and laughing slightly.
"That's not fair; I had the flu that day. It was just a wrong-place-wrong-time kinda thing," Pouting, Maeve defended herself.
Sebrina continued, "What about that girl that had a huge crush on you for like 2 years and because you left her on read irl and never gave her a response she ended up moving schools."
"Ughh, Don't remind me please. I felt like crap for a whole month," Maeve sighed holding her palm to her face.
"Miss Blake really took up a chunk of your teen romance opportunities didn't she, I'm pretty sure she still lives in your head rent free, I just hope this Cassandra woman doesn't do the same" said Sebrina.
"Well technically Cassandra is Miss B and Miss B is Cassandra, it's weird but I think their souls are connected somehow. They even look like twins, like literally, identical." Explained Maeve, "I'm not sure why, but I think everything that's happened and everything that's going to happen, is for a reason."
"Like fate? As in all of time is already predetermined, ouuu," Sebrina teased in a ghostly voice.
Maeve explained, "Haha, well yeah you're not too far off, I mean think about it. Of all the places on Earth Cassandra ends up here, causing Miss Blake's suicide attempt to fail. Then I go from being a hopeless romantic to going on a date with the woman of my dreams, both of them, and now we know magic actually exists, that there's a whole other world out there. Who knows what else her arrival has set in motion. One is a coincidence, two is happenstance, but three? Well that right there is fate baby girl."
Sebrina remarked, "Woah, I never actually thought about it like that, wait rewind did you say suicide attempt?" The two continued chatting as they walked along the sidewalk.
As they turned the corner, another individual was coming from the opposite direction, also turning the corner, resulting in Maeve colliding into the stranger.
"I'm so sorry I didn't se—ah, it's you again. We really need to stop meeting like this," said the girl as she chuckled.
"Oh hey, it's you," Maeve replied.
Sebrina, admiring the tall and beautiful girl, simply said, "Damn."
