Cassandra floated out of bed, now with this world's magic at her fingertips, she could do things with more ease.
She smiled, brimming with confidence, "I'm still adjusting to this woman's body; let me see if I'm still able to cut loose a little."
With a simple wave of her hand, she enchanted items in her kitchen. Tea cups, spoons, plates, and the water itself came alive as though possessed by playful spirits.
Cassandra floated by the window and watched as her enchanted items made tea. The tea cup danced with the tea spoon, water vibrated at super speed to superconduct itself. Sugar cubes hopped and skipped around the tea cup before jumping in, and the tea spoon followed shortly after to mix it all together. Everything in the kitchen now danced with new life.
Enchantment was the act of influencing living or non-living things to do your bidding, a relatively simple spell for someone of her caliber.
Cassandra wore a nightgown that left nothing to the imagination—a black flowing mesh piece that accentuated her breasts and barely covered her rear. Her voluptuous physique and curvaceous figure looked like they belonged to a supermodel. No manner of clothing would be able to keep this level of beauty at bay. She basked in the morning glow, as though the world existed to showcase her ethereal beauty.
There was a knock at the door, Cassandra floated towards it, and rather than opening it conventionally, she simply phased through. On the other side stood Maeve, completely startled by Cassandra's ethereal entrance.
"Oh my goodness, you scared the crap outta me," Maeve exclaimed.
After the initial shock, she couldn't help but notice what Cassandra was wearing. Her eyes widened, and her cheeks blushed.
"That's not fair, that's way too much stimulation," she thought, covering her face in an attempt to hide her embarrassment.
"Why is she so beautiful? That's really not fair."
Cassandra, still floating with her top half phased through the door, greeted Maeve. "Ah, it's you. What are you doing back here so soon?"
Trying to gather her senses, Maeve replied, "I hope it's okay I just showed up here unannounced. You don't exactly have a phone, so it's not like I can contact you. So here, I went and got you one."
She held up a small bag with a box inside.
Cassandra looked at it. "For me?"
Maeve nodded.
"Please, enter." Cassandra floated back into her apartment, momentarily forgetting that Maeve couldn't enter the same way.
"Of course, she's a human," Cassandra thought, returning to the door to open it.
"I forget the people of this land lack the abilities to use magic. So you can't even phase through this door? How strange indeed."
Maeve giggled, "Normal people can't phase through doors. What's actually strange is you doing it."
"And another thing, you have got to keep your magic hidden. You can't just use it anytime like you do when I'm around," Maeve said.
"What nonsense do you speak? Magic courses through my very soul; you expect me not to use it?" Cassandra questioned.
"No, that's not what I meant. You just can't use it around other people, or at least use it in a way that they won't notice. Otherwise, the Men in Black will come for you," said Maeve jokingly.
"Men in Black? Who are these Men in Black? I fear no man or woman. Tell them to heed my words. I WILL NOT KNEEL TO ANY-"
Before Cassandra could finish her rant, Maeve interrupted, "Woah woah woah, easy tiger. I'll explain everything. But instead of me just talking your ear off, why don't we let good old-fashioned cinema educate us."
Maeve held up a Blu-ray DVD case that read "MIB" with two well known actors on the front, she spread out three more movie cases in her hand like playing cards.
"What exactly is this?" asked Cassandra.
"Are you kidding? You're telling me you don't have movies where you're from?" Maeve hopped over the couch and sat down, bringing a laptop out of her bag and setting it on the coffee table.
She turned to look at Cassandra, patting the empty space next to her and gesturing for Cassandra to sit. Cassandra gently floated over and settled on the couch next to Maeve.
"What is wrong with me, I've let my guard down around this human far too many times, she instructs me to sit and I sit. Something is gravely wrong here." Cassandra's thoughts echoed in her head.
"This is as good as any movie to be your first. I would have preferred it if you saw a classic like E.T. or The Goonies for your first movie, but it's okay, we'll get round to it," Maeve said.
She put the CD into her laptop, and the movie began to play. The look of amazement and wonder in Cassandra's eyes was unmistakable; this was her first time seeing anything like this.
"Moving pictures! But you said this land had no magic users,"
Maeve giggled, "Not magic, technology."
The two sat there watching the movie, Maeve taking moments to pause it and explain certain aspects to Cassandra that she didn't understand.
About an hour went by and they were halfway through the movie when Cassandra's body started to lean into Maeve.
She had fallen asleep, her body slowly growing closer and closer to Maeve before finally, her head rested on Maeve's shoulder. This caused Maeve to jolt a little, resulting in Cassandra's head falling into Maeve's lap.
She looked down at the woman in her lap, whispering, "Is this really happening? Omg this is really happening. Please God, let this moment last forever!"
Looking down at Cassandra again, she couldn't help but notice how vulnerable she was. A powerful sorceress who now seemed as docile as a mouse. Maeve ran her hand through Cassandra's hair, parting it away from her face, but she couldn't resist and gently caressed Cassandra's lips. After coming to her senses and realising what she was doing she halted.
"What am I even doing?" She pulled her hand away and allowed Cassandra to sleep blissfully. Then a sudden realization dawned on her.
"Wait... is this a date? Oh my goodness, this is a date. This is such a date, how did I not even notice?" Maeve thought.
"I didn't even prepare, I brought no food or anything, but I have to say, just sitting here with her in my lap like this. This is all I'll ever want."
