Sleep came to Sophia early enough that she woke up the next morning feeling surprisingly refreshed despite all the activity they had been up to the night before.
Having always been a light sleeper, she was shocked when Luca again woke up before her and got completely ready before she could even blink for the first time that day. She only rolled over when she heard him rummaging around for something in his closet.
It was just before her alarm was set to go off but she wasn't upset at waking up to Luca.
He walked out of the closet with a lapel neck pullover in a dark green color as well as black slacks. He wore brown leather sneakers that were supposed to come off as casual but he still looked more dressed up than any other men his age on a day off.
When he saw Sophia stirring, he went to the bed and took a seat.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't wake you did I?"
He ran a hand over her exposed upper back and kissed the top of her head.
