Chapter 24: Sun Of The Sun Town (4)
Benjamin and Sun engaged in a fast and heavy battle dance—their punches tore through the air, and legs kicked it away, and once either of the attacks connected, the loud bang resounded across the mansion.
Their strength seemed to be on the same level, and their styles were also similar.
Had any aspiring or low-rank soldier been here, he undoubtedly would have thought that these two were on the same page, that someone of the opposite gender had finally arrived to become the equal of Miss Sun.
The military officials at the table thought otherwise.
They couldn't see through Benjamin's entire potential and strength because he had been holding himself back, even though his hands were out of his pockets. In simple words, it could be said that he wasn't seriously trying to topple backward Sun and was instead testing her strength.
The same applied to his opponent.
The fact, however, that a man of an unknown origin could match Miss Sun, make her perspire and focus on the battle while drawing the tantalizing curve of her lips, had raised some warnings as well as jealousy.
They fought until Sun retreated a few steps back and cheerfully nodded, "Just as I expected, you're very strong! I'll remember your name."
"What's my name, then?" Benjamin tilted his head and asked while wiping sweat off his brow.
Sun chuckled, "Benjamin, right?"
"Correct," Benjamin nodded with a broad smile.
After that, Sun craned her little head in the direction of military officials and passed them her orders. She told them to take care of him, show him around the military base, and adequately accommodate him to his new status, which was much higher than a mere soldier.
Since she had perspired a little, Sun also decided to take a break and left the mansion before anyone else could even question her words.
Benjamin was now left in the hands of the jealous officials… he understood their feelings with just a glance and inwardly sighed as he hadn't expected to be the center of jealousy so fast in a new world.
Being envious of a side character also spelled about their inferiority.

Benjamin's new room was far from what he'd expected.
It was so small that two people inside would find living there impossible. The bed took most of it, and a small shelf beside it told Benjamin that he would have to fold his clothes twice if he wanted to put his stuff there.
The only way to look over the window was to crawl on the bed as well as it was across the door. Similarly, the only source of light was a candle resting atop the shelf, waiting to shine to cast a glow of poverty on Benjamin.
In a way, it could have been said that the officials had done a great job venting their jealousy on Benjamin as he disliked living in a rectangular container room from the bottom of his heart.
It reminded him of his childhood in which he was stuffed with others in a tight room.
He sat on the bed and scratched his hair, "I didn't expect to spend a night here, though."
Because of his first experience of going into a foreign soul that had been wounded, Benjamin assumed Sun's soul would also be full of problems. That was not the case, and it appeared he would have to spend some time here to actually bring her out and help her with the foreign soul tempting her to lose herself.
"Moon was a target of killing intent, and it appears Sun is the target of the prospect of her ambition," Benjamin narrowed his eyes as he thought about what he had learned so far.
His battle with Sun and her potential ambitions filled his mind, yanking him from the passage of time. The sky outside lost its warm colors and became blanketed by darkness. A lovely big moon cast a smile onto the town, keeping the temperature at a pleasant coldness.
Knock! Knock!
Benjamin's eyes widened, and he momentarily lay frozen on the bed. It's been such a long time since he had lost himself in his own immersion that he couldn't properly react to others bothering him.
He shook his daze and stood up, walking closer to the door. He wasn't worried about the person on the other side of it as he was in the military dorm, though he expected some bullies to come to bother him.
As he opened the door, however, his room lit up in a warm pinkish hue as Sun stood before him.
She grinned, "They really bullied you. May I come in?"
"Yeah, feel free," Benjamin switched gears as some of his formal etiquette came from the depths of his heart because of Sun's mood.
When she made herself feel at home, casually pointing out the poor conditions of the rectangle room, Benjamin scratched away formalities and sat down next to her on the bed.
Because of the cramped room, anyone visiting Benjamin could only sit down on the bed, and his seat was naturally also there, meaning both parties would feel each other's touch and warmth.
That happened between Sun and Benjamin, but neither was conflicted about it.
Sun first brought up the topic, "We can talk freely without anyone eavesdropping on us. If you're wondering about the existence living in me, then you don't have to worry about anything as I've stuffed her with lots of work. Though I'm worried about my sisters outside because neither has come here and instead, a foreign man has entered this world, I'll believe in my judgment."
Benjamin narrowed his eyes and said, "I wanted to give two hints during our spar, so I wasn't ready for today's visit. Frankly, I expected you to take some time to study me."
Sun faintly smiled, "You've used Silent Moon… and it must have been taught to you recently by Moon. It was weak, brief, and clearly inexperienced. Your strength and style lent me credibility about your identity and that you have befriended my sisters outside. Befriended might be too weak of a word, though…"
