After doing the dishes and exchanging a few words with Chef Lorenzo, Anna returned to her master's room, only to find that he was missing.
"Where could he be?" she wondered as she looked around the room in search of him. Her eyes stopped on the closed bathroom door.
"Maybe he is in there, answering nature's call," she muttered.
She came to this conclusion because it was the one that made the most sense.
A while back, when she was heading out of the room to place the dishes in the kitchen sink, Valerius had asked her to return soon as he had something important to talk to her about. Wouldn't it be weird if he just left without saying anything? So it only made sense that he received an unexpected call by nature and, being a man, he naturally couldn't ignore it.
"Let's find out if he is really in there."
The bathroom door was closed shut, making it impossible to see if someone was inside.
