Cheers roared around him, but Elijah stayed focused on the woman standing before him. She held a staff, her beautiful orange hair and black eyes staring deep into his soul. Her mature and alluring body captivated everyone present, her beauty unmatched. She stood there, releasing a powerful killing intent.
"Dying at the hands of a beauty, not bad if you think about it," Elijah joked, then added, "But I'm not planning to die."
"It's never planned, Sky warrior," she said. "As an Amazon, I will show you our true might."
"I remember Amazons being a group of women who see men as nothing more than breeding toys," he said, trying to read her expression. "Why would one of them work for him?"
She stayed silent.
"Love," Elijah guessed, but she didn't react. "Benefits?" Still nothing. "Hate or revenge?" He sighed. "I would love to see your planet in the future and maybe even fight with your empress's daughter. I heard she's powerful and one of the Seven Miracles."
"You have a bad impression of us," she said. Elijah looked confused. "Amazon women are taught that only men who defeat them are worth having as husbands. We do see men in such a way, but why I'm working for him is none of your business."
"Really?" Elijah paused. "But I don't want to marry. Can I at least beat her daughter without causing a marriage or something?"
The woman looked confused and stunned. "You have no interest in facing a woman said to be the most beautiful in the galaxy? You must be lying."
"I've been living with two beautiful women who are like goddesses to others for some time, so I don't really care. If you think just being beautiful is going to win over men like me, you're mistaken."
Her killing intent disappeared as she stood there, absent-minded. "Either way, let's start this battle. The bell rang like a minute ago."
She warned him, "Your chances of defeating me are extremely low, maybe non-existent." Elijah just smiled. She continued, "In power, I am greater, in technique, I am greater, and you haven't even learned Yashin."
"Yashin? What do you mean?" Elijah inquired.
"Stop before you force my hand," the woman said, her staff moving slightly.
"Sorry, but…" In a moment, she moved at lightning speed, about 100 meters per second. Elijah felt the staff touch his chest, a huge impact breaking his bones and sending him flying to the other end of the area.
BOOOOMMM
Dust covered the area. Before she moved, she sensed something and slightly dodged a beam-like blade from Elijah, who was coughing up blood. "That was mean," he smiled before the ground shook and a burst of power came from him.
Elijah knew holding back would only end in his death. A blue lotus appeared behind him with two leaves, lightning cracking his whole being, and his hand bursting with lightning. He disappeared and reappeared before her, punching out, but she blocked with her staff.
BBOOMM
The two figures dashed around, Elijah's power reaching E+ rank. His speed using two-leaf lotus made his lightning Lotus stronger, reaching around (D-) rank. But because he used more Lightning Chi than usual, he could only keep it up for a few minutes.
"100 punches," Elijah started, small fists rushing toward the woman who blocked and dodged effortlessly.
"You are too weak." She held her staff tighter. "Vanish." Tremendous winds formed on her staff before she slashed forward, destroying the coming fists and hitting Elijah, making him cough up blood.
Flying to the other end of the arena, he gained balance after rolling on the ground. Standing up, he held his stomach, injured internally and externally. He reduced the amount of Lightning Chi, lowering his power to E rank but keeping his speed.
Coughing up blood, he muttered, "Shit."
"As I said, you're too weak," she said. "So quit."
Elijah smiled, restoring his power to (E+) rank. His hand glowed with brilliant lightning roaring like snakes. Tremendous waves of wind showed the power he held. "Full burst: Lightning Fist." He rushed toward the woman, who sighed before clashing.
BBBOOOMMM
The ground cracked, a small crater forming. The crowd was stunned. Elijah's Lightning Fist had always destroyed his opponents. "How can this be?"
Elijah was shocked to see the woman holding his fist like it was nothing. "What is that?" He sensed some energy covering her hand, almost unnoticeable.
"Weak," she said, dragging him close. Her staff relentlessly beat Elijah's bloodied body before using the wind element to push him away with a burst of wind.
