Chapter 228 - Chapter 226:- Trip To I-Island

One evening, Marcus sent a message that nearly made Izuku's heart stop.

"They're planning something big. I overheard them talking about moving some of the captives to a different location. I don't know where, but it's going to happen soon."

Izuku's eyes narrowed as he read the message. Time was running out. If they moved the people, it would be even harder to track them down. He had to act soon, but he couldn't just storm the facility without knowing its exact location.

Izuku typed a quick response:

"Keep me updated. Don't take any risks. I'll find a way to locate you. Stay safe, and make sure the children are protected."

Marcus's reply was almost immediate:

"I will. But hurry. They're not going to survive much longer."

Izuku sat back, staring at the screen. He couldn't let this go on any longer. Now that he had a secure line of communication with Marcus, he could start planning.

He had a general idea of how the facility operated, how many people were inside, and what kind of security measures they had in place. It was only a matter of time before he found the exact location.

And when he did, he would make sure the people running that facility paid for every single life they had destroyed.

For the next few days, Izuku and Marcus exchanged even more details. Marcus described the layout of the facility, the shifts of the guards, and the daily routine of the scientists. It was all crucial information that Izuku would need to plan his rescue mission.

As Marcus fed him more intel, Izuku used his own resources to try and narrow down the possible location of the underground facility. He searched satellite images, old blueprints of abandoned facilities, anything that might give him a clue.

Finally, after days of combing through mountains of data, he found it—a small, barely noticeable underground facility, hidden deep within a mountain range. It wasn't labeled on any maps, and it had no official records. But Izuku knew. This was it.

Izuku stared at the screen for a moment longer, eyes locked on the small facility hidden deep in the mountains. It looked perfect at first glance—secluded, difficult to access, and away from prying eyes.

But something felt off. His gut was telling him that this was too easy, too obvious. He couldn't shake the feeling that it was a decoy.

Sitting back in his chair, Izuku replayed a conversation he'd had with Giran in his mind.

It was during one of their first meetings when they were discussing how finding villains is very easy given how they hide in the most obvious places.

Where he had told Giran, "If I were running something like this, I wouldn't hide in some shady, run-down building.

That's where everyone looks. I'd be right under their noses. Somewhere no one would suspect.

Somewhere in the heart of the city, where all the rich, powerful people are. That's the best cover—because no one messes with those places, and if you do, it can cost you more than just a failed mission."

Giran leaned forward, tapping his fingers on the desk. His words from that time echoed in his head, and suddenly, it clicked. The underground facility in the mountains was definitely a distraction.

They wanted people to focus there while the real operation was happening somewhere no one would expect.

He needed to change his approach. Instead of looking at abandoned, secretive places, he had to focus on high-profile locations—places that no one would dare to question. Somewhere people with power, influence, and status could cover up anything they wanted.

Pulling up a new set of maps and databases, Izuku started searching through the busiest and most secure areas. The places that seemed too public, too important to hide something criminal.

He scrolled through the list of high-tech labs, prestigious research facilities, and major companies. Each one seemed more legitimate than the last, but Izuku knew appearances could be deceiving.

Then it hit him: I-Island, the fortress of science and innovation. A place known for its cutting-edge technology, where the world's brightest minds worked together on advancements that changed the hero world.

I-Island was also a place where it was nearly impossible to get inside without clearance. Its largest support item facility, located right in the heart of the island, produced nearly a third of all the support items in the world.

They were always busy, constantly working, and only the most reputable people had access, a place where ordinary tourists cannot enter.

Izuku's heart raced as he dug deeper into the records. The facility had thousands of employees, and security was airtight. On the surface, it looked like the safest, most efficient place in the world. But that's exactly why it was perfect.

As he mapped out the area, Izuku noticed something. The facility wasn't alone. Around it were several smaller buildings, all owned by the same company that operated the main support facility.

He started looking at the layouts of these buildings, matching them against the descriptions Marcus had sent.

Then he saw it. A particular building, heavily guarded but with fewer cameras in key areas. It had several blind spots that wouldn't come into the public's eye that could be exploited.

And more importantly, when Izuku compared the surface layout of all the buildings surrounding I-Tower—the largest support item supplier in the heart of I-Island—with the underground layout Marcus had described, they matched perfectly.

The facility was hidden right beneath one of these buildings or under all the buildings, covering the whole area while being concealed by the legitimate operations front above.

"This was it." said Izuku as he sat back, his eyes wide. Everything lined up perfectly. The facility in the mountains had been a diversion, just like he suspected.

The real operation was happening right in the middle of I-Island, hidden in plain sight.

Without wasting a second, he sent a message to Marcus:

"I found it. It's right underneath I-Tower, I-Island's heart, at the biggest support item facility. I'm coming for them."

Marcus replied almost instantly:

"Thank God. We're running out of time, please Hurry.

The shifting will happen this week, I don't have enough clearance to know the exact date and time, so this is all I know, so you need to hurry."

Izuku stood up, determination flooding through his veins. This was the break he'd been waiting for. He quickly started preparing for the mission, mentally going over every detail, every plan.

He needed to be careful—this wasn't just some random hideout in the middle of nowhere. He was about to infiltrate one of the most secure places on the planet.

He gathered his gear, making sure everything was ready for the rescue. He couldn't afford any mistakes.

Lives were on the line. He made note of the blind spots, the patrol patterns Marcus had described, and the weakest points of the facility's defenses.

Izuku came out in the living room where the girls were all sitting and watching a movie.

He looked at the girls as he said, "I found the facility," his voice firm but tense.

Maki and Momo immediately sat up straighter, eyes sharp. Fuyumi, Rei, listened quietly, knowing that whatever Izuku was about to say was important.

While Kaina, understanding what Izuku was talking about, took Eri to another room so Izuku could explain things to the girls properly.

"It's in I-Island's heart," Izuku continued. "Right under the largest support item facility—hidden in plain sight.

They've been using it as a front, covering up everything they've been doing underground."

Momo's eyes widened. "I-Island's biggest support item facility? My dad was a huge investor in that facility. Was my dad also involved in those experiments?" asked Momo hoping her fear was all for nothing.

"I doubt that, although I couldn't get my hands on any files, but I think your dad didn't know about the things happening behind the scene, given his character, he wouldn't do anything that would make him ashamed of looking you in eyes, given how much you loved and idolized your dad." Said Izuku.

Listening to which Momo felt relieved as she said, "Yeah you are right, my dad would never do anything that would make him unable to face me." As Momo brightened up.

"I know," Izuku said, nodding. "But this is our best chance. They're planning to move the captives soon. If we wait too long, we'll lose them."

Maki clenched her fists. "So, when do we leave?"

"Tonight," Izuku replied. "We can't waste any time. Momo, Maki—get ready. We're leaving as soon as possible. We'll need to be quick about this. We can't afford any mistakes."

Maki stood up immediately, already heading to pack her gear. "I'll be ready in five minutes."

Momo followed, her expression serious. "Same here. I'll prepare the equipment."

As they left to pack, Fuyumi hesitated for a moment before standing up. "Izuku...can we come with you?

Rei, Kaina, Eri, and I? We won't get involved in the mission, I promise. But...we could at least be there. To support you. And...we could do some sightseeing while we're on the island."

Izuku looked at her, as he said. "I understand, I can't be selfish to lock you in the house, you guys can come as well, just make sure to do as I say okay?"

Fuyumi nodded, walking over to him. "I know. And we won't interfere, I swear. We'll just be on the island. But...being there would make us feel a little closer to you. And besides," she added with a small smile, "I've never been to I-Island before. Neither has Mom."

"Yeah, I know I shouldn't be saying this when lives are at stake, but ever since my marriage I have always been confined to just one single room, be it the todoroki household or hospital bed.

I didn't even get to explore my own country, I would love to explore it with you. I promise I won't come in the way of your mission in any way." Said Rei meekly not wanting to sound selfish.

"Of course you can, I wish to protect you guys, but not confine you to a single room, you guys can come, just when I say to stay in the room, please do that." Said Izuku to which Rei nodded happily.

Fuyumi grinned, relief washing over her. "I promise. We won't interfere."

Rei smiled warmly. "Thank you, Izuku. We'll stay safe."

Kaina, who came back with Eri, sat next to Rei as Rei said, "Eri we are going on a trip and we'll see lots of new things. Are you excited?" Asked Rei

"Trip, yay, I'll see lots of new places," Eri beamed in delight as she was happy to know about the trip.

Kaina nodded from the corner, already knowing what transpired as she started packing her things. "I'll be going back to that place after suxh a long time and that too for not a mission but to do sightseeing. That's a good change of pace." said Kaina smiling

"Alright everyone," he said. "Pack your bags. We're leaving soon."

The house erupted into quiet but focused activity. Maki and Momo quickly packed their hero gear, double-checking everything to make sure they were fully prepared for the mission.

Fuyumi and Rei gathered their essentials, while Kaina grabbed a small bag with a few personal items. Eri excitedly helped Rei pack, chattering about how excited she was to see I-Island.
