Maki stepped forward, her eyes burning with fury as she stared down the terrified captives. They had tried to hurt Eri, the little girl who meant the world to her, and that alone was enough to ignite a fire deep within her.
Her knuckles cracked as she clenched her fists, the urge to make them pay rising with every passing second.
"You thought you could come after us?" Maki's voice was cold, filled with a dangerous calmness. "You thought you could hurt my family, hurt my Eri?"
One of the captives whimpered, shaking violently as Maki drew closer. He tried to crawl backward, but there was nowhere to go. His back hit the wall, and he looked up at her with pure terror in his eyes.
"I-I didn't mean—"
"Shut up," Maki snapped, cutting him off as her foot slammed into his chest, pinning him to the wall. The man gasped, his eyes wide in fear as Maki's expression darkened.
She could feel the bloodlust bubbling up inside her, that familiar thrill she hadn't felt in a while. Her lips curled into a twisted smile as her quirk activated, plunging the man into his own worst nightmare.
He screamed, his body convulsing as Maki's quirk made him relive his darkest fears over and over again. It was like Itachi's Tsukuyomi but on repeat. The other captives watched in horror, their faces pale as they saw their comrade losing his mind right before their eyes.
"Tell me," Maki hissed, leaning down toward the man, who was shaking uncontrollably. "Who sent you? Who told you to come after us?"
"I... I can't... please..." the man begged, his voice barely audible through his sobs.
Maki's grin widened as she grabbed him by the collar, pulling him close. Her eyes gleamed with a sadistic delight as she whispered, "If you don't talk, I'll make sure you experience pain you never imagined. You'll beg me to end it."
The man's breath hitched, and he quickly glanced at the others, all of whom looked too scared to speak. Maki turned her gaze to them, her eyes narrowing. "None of you are leaving here alive if you don't give me what I want."
Maki's grip tightened on the man's collar, her eyes gleaming with twisted excitement. Without hesitation, she slammed her fist into his face, feeling the bones crack beneath her knuckles. The man let out a gut-wrenching scream, his body trembling as blood spurted from his nose.
"You're going to tell me everything," Maki growled, her voice low and dangerous. "Or I'll keep going until there's nothing left of you."
The man whimpered, blood dripping down his face. He glanced at Izuku, hoping for mercy, but Izuku only stood by, arms crossed, watching without a hint of sympathy. This was Maki's moment.
Maki punched the man again, this time harder, sending him crashing to the floor. She knelt down, grabbing him by the hair and pulling his face close to hers, his teeth missing, eyes bruised, and nose broken. "You think this is over?" she whispered with a crazed grin. "We're just getting started."
Her quirk flared again, sending him spiraling into another nightmare, where everything he feared came to life. He screamed, clawing at his own skin, trying to escape the visions tormenting him.
"Stop! Please! I'll tell you everything!" he cried, but Maki wasn't done.
She stood up, her breathing heavy, and glanced at Izuku. "Heal him," she demanded, her voice cold. "I'm not finished."
Without a word, Izuku placed a hand on the man's chest, and a soft glow surrounded him. Slowly, the man's broken bones mended, his face returning to its original shape, and the blood that had been pouring from his wounds dried up. It was as if he'd never been hurt at all.
His body was healed but the pain was still there. Fuyumi, standing in the corner, watched in shock. "Wait… that's Eri's quirk. How can you—"
"I'll explain later," Izuku cut her off, his gaze still fixed on Maki as she prepared to continue her twisted interrogation.
Maki cracked her knuckles, smiling as she saw the man completely healed. His relief was short-lived, though, as Maki slammed her foot into his stomach, sending him sprawling across the floor.
"You think healing is mercy?" she sneered, stepping over him. "No, it just means I get to hurt you all over again."
She kicked him again, harder this time, relishing the sickening sound of bones cracking under her boot. The man howled in pain, his body curling up in a futile attempt to protect himself.
Maki grinned wider, her bloodlust growing with every blow. "Tell me what I want to know," she said, her voice filled with dark excitement. "Or this is never going to end."
The man coughed, blood spilling from his lips as he tried to speak. "It... it was someone from the underworld… they paid us to come after you. Please... I don't know more... just let me go..."
Maki's eyes narrowed. "You think that's enough? You think I'll let you off with that?" She grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him up, smashing his head into the wall. Blood splattered across the room, but Maki didn't stop.
Her eyes were wild, lost in the thrill of it all. "You're going to tell me "everything" you know. Or I'll make you suffer in ways you can't even imagine."
The other captives were trembling, their eyes wide with horror. They watched as Maki continued to brutalize the man, their fear growing with every second. One of them started sobbing, begging for mercy.
"Please! We'll tell you anything! Just stop! Please!"
But Maki was too far gone. She kicked the man once more, his body now limp, barely holding on to consciousness. "You'll all get your turn," she said, licking her lips with a sadistic smile. "But first, I'm going to break this one until he gives me every last detail."
Fuyumi, standing in the corner, had turned pale. She felt sick to her stomach, her body shaking as she watched the scene unfold. She had never seen Maki like this. The blood, the gore, the madness in her eyes—it was overwhelming.
She couldn't take it anymore. Fuyumi stumbled back, her hand covering her mouth as she rushed out of the room. The sound of her retching echoed down the hallway.
Inside, Maki looked at the others, her face covered in blood, her smile wide and terrifying. "Now, who's next?"
The captives exchanged fearful glances before one of them finally broke not wanting to go through what their commarde did. "It was someone from the underworld! A contractor! He hired us to attack you, we didn't know it would end up like this, I swear!"
"Names. I want names," Maki demanded, her voice sharp as a knife.
"We... we don't know his real name. He's one of the big players, though. Rumor is he's been making moves to gather an army of quirk users, and he is in contact with someone who knows too much about quirks and how to use them." the man stammered, his eyes wide as he spoke quickly, desperate to get the words out before Maki could hurt him more.
Maki stared at him for a moment, then without warning, she slammed his head into the ground with a sickening thud. Blood spattered across the floor, painting it in a gruesome mess. The others gasped in horror, but no one dared to speak or move.
"Good enough for now," Maki said with a chilling smile, her eyes flicking back to the group. "But I'm not done with you yet."
She turned to the next captive, her quirk ready to unleash more torment. One by one, Maki moved through them, using her fists, her quirk, and every bit of her pent-up rage to make sure they felt the full weight of her fury.
Blood sprayed across the walls, pooling beneath the bodies as they screamed and cried for mercy. Maki didn't stop—she couldn't. The bloodlust had fully taken over, and all she could think about was making them suffer for even daring to threaten Eri.
Meanwhile, Fuyumi stood frozen in shock at the entrance, her face pale as she watched the horrifying scene unfold. She had never seen Maki like this, never imagined her to be capable of such brutality.
The sound of bones breaking, the sickening squelch of blood, and the tortured cries of the captives filled the room. It was too much.
Fuyumi covered her mouth, trying to hold back from vomiting again. The nausea almost caused her to faint. However the brutality she just saw was too much for her, even with closed eyes she couldn't get those images out of her mind, trying her best to not vomit and forget about those things but she couldn't.
She turned away, running to the corner where she had vomited and finally unable to hold back anymore she vomited again, her body trembling from the horror of it all.
"I-Izuku..." Fuyumi gasped, her voice weak as she wiped her mouth. "How... how can she do this? How can you just let her...?"
Izuku stood calmly, his arms crossed as he watched Maki in action. There was no trace of fear or disgust on his face, only satisfaction.
"She's doing what she needs to do," he said simply. "This is who she is, Fuyumi. She protects her family, no matter what. And those who threaten us? They pay for it."
Fuyumi shook her head, still horrified. "I... I won't ever ask to join you on missions again. I can't handle this... I-I can't..."
Izuku placed a hand on her shoulder, his grip firm but gentle. "You don't have to. Momo, Maki and I can handle things like this. You just focus on what's important to you."
Maki finally stood up, her body covered in blood, her face flushed with a twisted sense of satisfaction. The room was a mess, blood and guts splattered everywhere, and the remaining captives were too terrified to even speak.
"It's done," Maki said, wiping her hands on her pants as if trying to rid herself of the blood. "They won't bother us again."
"Now let's spice things up," said Izuku as he healed them again.
