Chapter 4 - Chapter - 4 (Twins)

In East Dhangadhi, Lower Block, it was already nine in the morning. Eric was still sleeping in his bed without a thought of going out. Sleeping for more than twelve hours, he hadn't even woken up.

Maybe this was due to yesterday's walk; he was quite tired. He hadn't walked this much in his entire previous life. That's why he had taken a carriage while returning to his home. How could Eric walk so far from the Lower Block to the Four Streets? Maybe he was already used to it, walking for more than five kilometers for ten years from the Lower Block to Four Streets for the university. "I can understand you, bro. You are just broke. No money, no honey, no rich, and no reach."

Lazily, he opened his eyes and stretched his body. He checked the time on a watch fob he found packed inside the boxes. Eric's father had gifted this watch on his seventeenth birthday.

"9:07 AM?"

He immediately threw the blanket aside and got up for the washroom. Later, he cooked rice and went outside to check the letter. Today was the twentieth of this month, and his parents always sent a letter at this time. They also sent some gold coins at this time.

"Huh! Two letters?" Opening the mailbox, he found that there were actually two letters written for him. One of the letter's covers was white, and the other was grey. Then, he saw a named logo emblem on the grey letter. It seemed to be from some kind of institution.

Inside the room, sitting on a chair while eating rice with a spoon, he read the letter. He unfolded the white letter first because he knew it was from his parents.

There were three gold coins stuffed in a piece of paper and put inside the letter. Pocketing the gold coins, he read the contents of the letter, "Lovely Son, this is your father Joseph. I have bad news for you and good news for you. But before talking about the news, I want to say that don't get distracted even if you couldn't pass the university. I know as your father how much you had pressured yourself to study. You are a man; just because of a little setback in fate, don't get discouraged and blame yourself for all of this. You can do it all over again; I and your mom definitely support you."

"Now, I am going to tell you about the good news because I am very excited to write it. You are now a big brother."

Eric stopped eating and carefully re-read the words.

"I had a little sibling!" Joy appeared on Eric's face.

"But mom should be thirty-eight or thirty-nine, and dad should be around forty-four." While thinking, he read the contents below.

"But the bad news is that you had twin siblings." Eric immediately stood up from his chair. "Twins?" He became doubly happy. He not only had a little sibling, but they were twins.

"How can this be bad news?" He thought inwardly.

"Is it because the cost of our living will be increased? The expenses that my parents had to cover for me were three gold coins, but with two more family members, they had to save up to eleven gold coins for their education, but their salary was only just five gold coins."

He read the later contents, "With the blessings of God, one is a boy and the other is a girl. Hmmm... I haven't thought about a name yet. When you come to the upper block next week, think about a suitable name for your little angels.

And about your study, what are your thoughts about it? Are you going to re-study, or will you do some work?

Just tell me after a week. Have a good day. We will support you in your every decision."

Joseph should be concerned about him, despite his failure he was ready to support Eric. Eric realized his father feared he might become depressed and just stay at home all day. Joseph expected Eric to find a job, not only for himself but also to support his little siblings' education. Lying on the bed, Eric contemplated the need to seek employment.

"Maybe I should try to find some jobs tomorrow! If I can secure a decent job with some gold coins, it can help the family," he thought.

Putting his parents' letter aside, he picked up another grey one. Reading it, he discovered it was from Triangle University, delivering the news of his suspension due to failing in the law department. Eric, however, felt no anger towards the university.

"You are the only student that has failed in the history of our Triangle University. Your seniors and your friends were all sincere in studying. Due to your failure, we will be suspending you from our college. You won't be able to study at this school for five years."

Finishing reading the contents, he throws it on the dustbin. But he wasn't angry reading the contents of the letter. He was just disappointed at the university and its system. What the hell? I was clearly plotted.

Even though he could re-exam and potentially pass, the decision to suspend him from Triangle University had already been made. Eric wasn't surprised; he had anticipated this outcome.

"Let's see if I can find a job. With my qualification as a university failure, will I even find a decent job?" he pondered. Considering Dhangadhi City's size, he hoped he might secure a job. In his previous life, he would have had to pay to work, but the rules here were unknown to him.

As these thoughts swirled, he drifted off to sleep, realizing, "Whatever. I am already reincarnated into this world. I don't even know if I can go back, but I should just try to fit in here. At least I have a family in this world and two little siblings. What more does he need if he has his parents?"
