After hours passed, and Arya showed no signs of waking, Dorian could see that Lillian was growing visibly tired. It was late, and exhaustion weighed heavily on her; she dozed off a bit in her seated position.
"You should rest," Dorian suggested gently, concern lacing his voice.
"I can't. Not until Arya wakes up," Lillian replied, her tone firm, refusing to succumb to sleep.
Dorian sighed softly, realizing the battles that waged within Lillian's heart. "At least lie down for a moment. I'll keep watch, and if anything changes, I'll wake you."
Lillian hesitated for a moment before nodding. She lay down on the bed bench, eyes still fixed on Arya.
Dorian settled in a nearby chair, his gaze alternating between Lillian and the unconscious Arya.
As the minutes passed, exhaustion caught up with Lillian. Despite her determination, her eyelids grew heavy.
