Enma....
The name of the king of hell is Enmao.
The sword, reputed to cut through the bottom of hell, is one of Oden's two blades. The massive scar on Kaido's chest was inflicted by Enma and Ame no Habakiri. This sword has the unique ability to unleash the user's Armament Haki without requiring permission and can also provide a boosting effect to Armament Haki.
This is why Kozaburo, who holds a place among the 21 Great Grade swordsmiths, regards Enma as the pinnacle masterpiece of his life, surpassing even Wado Ichimonji.
Nevertheless, Atlas was genuinely curious about Kozaburo's mention of the renowned sword that wasn't solely crafted by him.
"Our lineage can be described as a family of blade artisans. Crafting a renowned sword is a lifelong endeavor for us. My father aspired to forge a distinct and renowned blade, among the finest and swiftest, throughout his life. However, at the final moment, he couldn't achieve it. Yet, one could argue it was a success..."
Kozaburo spoke eloquently, a nostalgic expression gracing his face, and then, as if performing a magic trick, he produced a blade from behind.
The blade measures seven feet four inches in length (approximately 2.47 meters). The scabbard is adorned with black and red lightning-like engravings. The blade itself is fashioned in the likeness of a ferocious giant mouth, exuding a truly majestic appearance.
"This sword was crafted by my father and finished by my own hands. It has never been revealed to anyone. The name of the blade..."
While Kozaburo spoke, he withdrew a portion of the blade from the scabbard. A frigid and piercing light instantly illuminated the surroundings, and an imperceptible pressure enveloped the three individuals present. Atlas remained unaffected, but Zoro felt a bit uneasy, considering he was merely a seven-year-old child.
This feeling...
"The name of the sword... Kaminari!"(T/N:😊)
"One of the twelve Supreme Grade Blades!"
Kozaburo gently caressed every inch of this renowned sword, his face portraying a succession of complex emotions—reluctance, nostalgia, and pride.
"Wow~"
Even though Zoro didn't grasp the significance of the Supreme Sword , it didn't hinder his admiration for the Kaminari in Kozaburo's grasp.
Clang!
With the blade unsheathed, the Supreme Grade Blades materialized directly in front of Atlas.
This is an elongated, single-edged straight sword, bearing a resemblance to a tachi. The blade is a mere 4.2 centimeters in width, with the tip measuring approximately 2.8 centimeters. Electric arcs continuously dance along the blade.
This is a formidable weapon!
"Kaminari slices the air, sparks the fire, and the lightning is awe-inspiring. It can also be called the Thunder God's Sword or the Electric Blade! No one without great skill can wield it.!"
Kozaburo slowly presented Kaminari in his hand. The supremely grade sword bared its fangs for the first time!
"It's regrettable that you're a Marine and lack the eligibility for this...."
Conqueror's haki release
A world-dominating will emanated from Atlas, not targeted at anyone present but soaring directly into the sky under Atlas's command!
"Are you referring to Conqueror's haki..."
Atlas's mouth spread into a wide grin, resembling that of a child.
"I never expected... to find someone like you among the Marines!!!"
Kozaburo's expression was touched, and he became even more convinced that he had entrusted the spirit of Kaminari to Atlas.
"Given your qualifications, I presume you're familiar with the Conqueror's Infusion technique, exclusive to top-tier experts," Kozaburo said, gradually raising the sword in his hand to an upright position. As the blade shifted, arcs of electricity danced along its length.
"This is a weapon with a mental impact. I'm unsure of the exact materials my father incorporated. Legend has it that it contains something left behind by the dragon-slaying warrior Ryoma. However, it's merely a myth. Nevertheless, this sword is indeed linked to Conqueror's infusion. You'll have to delve into it yourself for the specifics, and I haven't truly wielded it," Kozaburo explained.
At this point, Kozaburo had inadvertently revealed his identity as a resident of Wanokuni, yet he seemed unconcerned. As a Marine Vice Admiral, Atlas believed he must have deduced it from the moment they met. It was a tacit understanding between the two.
"Now, I entrust Kaminari to you. Please, don't disgrace it!"
With a calm expression, Kozaburo put Kaminari in his hand into the scabbard and solemnly handed it to Atlas's hand.
"Kaminari... I will certainly mold you into a formidable sword, feared by all pirates in the world!"
Atlas grinned and secured the blade he received onto his waist.
Atlas, standing at a towering height of 2.8 meters, found that Kaminari's total length was nearly 2.8 meters, if not 2.9 meters. It could be asserted that the blade was tailor-made for him. Wearing it on his person accentuated his entire presence, exuding an even more... Domineering!
"Alright, let me, old man, savor the sea breeze here..."
Kozaburo nodded contentedly, then turned around and located a prominent rock to sit on.
"Let's go, Zoro."
Atlas lifted Zoro up and placed him on his broad shoulders, then raised his legs to walk toward the Isshin Dojo.
If he allowed this guy to tag along, there was a chance he might get lost somewhere, necessitating considerable effort to locate him.
"Huh? Hey, put me down, you jerk!"
Zoro experienced a moment of weightlessness, and in the blink of an eye, he found himself on Atlas's shoulder. Despite the novelty of the sensation, he felt embarrassed and annoyed by Atlas treating him like a child. A blush crept across his face.
"Where are we headed?"
Realizing he couldn't escape, Zoro reluctantly gave up the struggle. However, he noticed they weren't heading towards the seaside. It crossed his mind that Atlas might be taking him directly to the Marines.
"A place where I teach you how to wield a sword!"
In truth, Atlas had contemplated whether to take Zoro directly back to the Marines, but if he aimed to establish the groundwork for Zoro's swordsmanship, Koushirou was the most fitting choice.
Furthermore, if Zoro hadn't developed a connection with Kuina, it wasn't certain whether he would target Atlas, the future world's greatest swordsman.
After careful consideration, it seemed better to allow Zoro to study at the Isshin Dojo for a while and return after Kuina's unfortunate incident in two years.
Lost in thought, Atlas and Zoro on his shoulders gradually vanished into the woods, drawing nearer and nearer to the Isshin Dojo.
"I have no regrets..."
Observing their departure, Kozaburo murmured to himself while gazing out at the sea.
His greatest desire in his later years was to find a worthy owner for this renowned sword, the result of two generations of the Shimotsuki family's craftsmanship. If he couldn't fulfill this wish before his demise, he'd prefer to let it rest peacefully underground.
No wonder this sword didn't make its presence known to the world from the original story. Perhaps, till the end, it didn't wait for its rightful owner.
How could a Meito... fall into the hands of mediocre people!
