Li Huai went to sleep early last night and somehow, his phone was muted. When he woke up the next morning, he saw several missed calls from Liu Xiangli—over a dozen to be precise.
"Did my sister-wife run into trouble?" Li Huai quickly dialed back. To his relief, Liu Xiangli was not in danger.
While on the phone and getting ready for the day, Li Huai had to wrap his head around some confusing information that Liu Xiangli relayed to him.
"Why does my sister-wife want me to stay indoors these days?" Scratching his head, Li Huai walked into the living room intending to ask Shen Yingtian and the others for help with his phone's issue.
However, Long Qiaoyin, sitting on the sofa, remarked, "Don't bother looking. They got up early and left. Not everyone sleeps till noon like you."
"Is it already noon?" Li Huai checked the sun's position and sure enough, it was almost midday. "Why aren't you at work, Long Qiaoyin?"
"It's the weekend, why would I be at work, you big dummy!"
