Basil Jaak walked into the park, seeing an elder in heavy military uniform strolling through the snow. His dark figure cast a reflection on the vast snowy landscape, radiating vigor instead of the usual old age.
"Grandpa!" Fiona Turner ran towards the old man, calling out to him.
It was Fiona's grandfather - the eminent and influential figure, Edgar Turner.
The elder laughed heartily, holding Fiona's hand, then turned to Basil Jaak and said, "Young man, we meet again."
"Again?" Fiona looked surprised, thinking to herself, "Is Basil acquainted with my grandfather?"
Bang!
Basil Jaak stood upright, giving Edgar Turner a formal military salute, then ruefully thought to himself, "I'm no longer a soldier."
Reading Basil's thoughts, Edgar gave a slight smile. Turning to Fiona, he said," Fiona, go inside and brew some tea for us. I will show your friend the plum blossoms over there. It's quite delightful to drink tea while admiring the plum blossoms."
