Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Purple woke up in a room vibrating with laughter and loud music.

"Finally, she's awake!" A woman said with colorful, unusual-looking face, as Purple thought.

"Where am I?" Purple asked, still dizzy from the shock she got from Levine's hit.

"Whatever! Just wear this and go out. You don't have to do anything but to serve them. Move now, quickly. Everyone was waiting for a long time," the woman commanded after throwing a shiny, thin clothing to Purple.

"I am not wearing anything," Purple said this firmly and stormed out of the room, thrashing the cloth to the corner of the room.

The woman was stunned in fright, disabling her to stop Purple. The woman was stupefied of the strange aura exuding out of Purple.

As Purple stepped out of the room, there were drunkards everywhere, laughing and drinking. There were women wearing the same dress the woman inside asked her to wear.

The women were barely wearing anything. Drunkards were touching them everywhere with faces that made Purple even more disgusted at how these lowly humans treated each other.

"Serve them?" Purple mumbled on her way out.

She rushed through the swarm of loud humans to the entrance and out she went.

With only few long strides away from the tent, Purple was halted into a great shock, igniting a strong force inside her.

There, in the middle of the town, the little girl lied helplessly, silently crying in pain from the wounds all over her body.

"Li…Little human," Purple gasped.

"Purple, you came." The little girl whispered and forced a weak smile.

"W-what…w-why…" Purple trembled in so much anger that she took longer, forceless strides towards the little girl.

But someone grabbed her by the hand and stopped her.

"No! Don't go near her!" A voice from her back spoke while pulling her away from the little girl.

Purple turned to look, and it was Levine.

"Let go." Purple tried so hard to contain her anger, infuriated at the sight of Levine in front of her.

"Get her away from that monster!" Someone from the crowd growled.

"Come with me." Levine begged.

"I…" Purple tried to speak but someone interrupted her.

"My people! We are all gathered here to give thanks to our mighty hunter and protector, Levine, for relieving us from the threats of evil. No more harm will come to us," a filthy, tubby, and greasy man spoke, looking almighty at the stage.

Purple looked at the man at the stage and then turned back to Levine.

"YOU! I trusted you!" Purple muddled.

"No! No! Listen…" Levine tried to explain, but Purple turned her gaze sharply around and forced her way through the people to get to the little girl.

People were shocked seeing Purple approaching the little girl.

"Stop her! She's under a demon's spell!" Levine shouted.

Purple looked at Levine in disbelief. She couldn't help but remember how the little girl fought against her to treat him better. And this was what she got from trying?

People immediately gathered to hold her.

"Let me go!" Purple begged with all her might.

"People! Now you see how dangerous that evil creature is. Disguised as a child, fooling the girl with her innocence. I say, 'We should burn and vanish that devil's existence!' the vile man on the stage announced, with all power in his voice.

Purple's eye widened from what she heard and immediately struggled to let loose of the people's grip.

"PURPLE!" the little girl squealed, more terrified.

And in a glimpse, before Purple could even respond, she saw the worst thing she could ever have imagined seeing.

The people mercilessly whipped and poured a foul-smelling liquid, drenching the little girl and lighting the poor child on fire.

Purple watched in such terror. Tears poured out of her eyes.

Memories of the past were triggered to play in her mind as the little girl cried in horror at the screeching pain of burning.

Then silence!

The little girl laid lifeless.

Purple was confused and furious about the things she was seeing.

"What's happening? Are these real?" Purple blubbered.

The sky turned dark, the wind howled harshly, and people scurried off, leaving Purple stunned, and on her knees without taking her gaze off the lifeless little girl.

Heavy rains fell from the dark sky, like a formidable downfall. A flagrant aura of purple flare wreathed Purple as she succumbed to her fury.

People fled in fright.

"Monsters!" people screamed, pushing and trampling each other in despair of saving their lives.

Majestic wings sprawled out of Purple's back.

She turned to Levine, who got stuck on his feet, terrified of how things turned out.

"P-purple," Levine rattled while he walked backward.

"You, humans, are the monsters! Disgusting liars!" Purple roared, enraged.

In a flinch, she picked up Levine and soared above.

"Let me go! Put me down!" Levine begged, his eyes almost bulging out in horror.

"Perish!" Purple said in her low, terrifying voice.

Levine arced in pain, crippling his body, and in a second, he turned to ashes.

Purple flashed down like a lightning strike, getting stronger as anger overtook her.

A fusion of purple, red, gold, orange, and black colors started radiating from Purple's aura flame while she walked toward the main town.

"HUMANS SHOULD VANISH!" Purple cried.

The earth shook with every step she took and every scream of defiance she made.

The skies turned even more angry. Thunderstorms and lightning intensified.

"I DEFY YOUR EXISTENCE!" Purple called out as she looked up with so much rage.

The flame around her grew fiercer, and the raindrops turned into fire drops.

"BURN!" Purple furiously shouted.

A scream of horror echoed throughout the chaos. Houses started burning, and people were horrified as others burned up in flames.

As the town got shredded down in flames, a fiery light flashed down that trembled the land too.

"Purple!" A voice called out from the fiery light.

But Purple had already drowned and lost in hatred.

The fiery light faded out, revealing a human form but with wings. Torn wings, bloody hair that runs down to its feet, a perfectly muscular body covered with scars, and incredibly good-looking features.

The red male creature walked into the raging force field surrounding Purple and tried to calm her down, but with one shove, it lashed away from such strength.

Purple fell down on her knees before releasing a plangent weep that resonated the whole town. It grew louder and ached along with the chaos happening around. She cried in torment over the little girl's suffering and the memories she couldn't accept.

The lament was too painful to be heard.

But it stopped.

"I'm sorry!" A voice cried from Purple's back then two human arms wrapped around her in a hug.

Purple turned around and was shocked.

"Who are you?" Purple uttered.

"Hi, I'm Allisha!"

The storm slowly died down while Purple and Allisha stared at each other inside the ball of strong force.

Purple was beyond fazed that the human stood unscathed in front of her, smiling.

Allisha smiled and offered a hand. But before anyone knew what happened, a scream startled them then everything went spinning, and the feeling of falling enveloped Allisha and Purple.
