Chereads / New World: Becoming The Harem King / Chapter 27 - Tiara High On Sugar

Chapter 27 - Tiara High On Sugar

After his promise to Tiara and Fiona, he scoured the System Shop carefully for something that could help him teach them magic.

He had asked the System for a suggestion. The suggestion he received was too expensive. He could not afford it.

He made a list of things that could help him start with his tutoring session.

[Orb of Magical Affinity]

[Mana Wood]

[Mana Identifying Method]

Among the three, the Mana Identifying Method was cheapest. It would cost him only 30 ST. However, it was also the most inaccurate unless the one performing was experienced with this method.

Hence, this method put out of the list. Next was Mana Wood, if he decided to purchase this then it would cost him only 40 ST per unit. Now the problem with this item was that it would only be able identify the elemental affinity and nothing else.

He removed it from the list too. Now he was left with Orb of Magical Affinity.

[Orb of Magical Affinity] (150 ST)

⟨Description: An orb made from crystal alloys and various magic enchantments and runes. Used to identify an individual's elemental affinity, magical potential, and Mana control. To use it simply put your hand on it.⟩

› Beware: After 10 uses the orb needs to be recharged with Mana Stones.

Although, barely fitting his budget this was still the best option. Unlike its name, the orb would also show him their magic potential and Mana potential.

Without further consideration, he purchased it. Only 100 ST was left.

He bought one more item from the shop before retiring for the night.

.....

Abruptly, Tiara's eyes opened. As usual, she jumped out of the bed. Seeming even more energetic than usual. Last night, she had difficulty sleeping due to her excitement. This was the day when she finally had the chance to learn magic!

Darius was going to teach them magic! Her life long dream to be able to use magic was going to be achieved today. She did not want to wake up a minute too late lest she misses her chance to learn magic!

Like a sugar-charged child, she violently shook her Mommy, "Wake up! Mommy, wake up!"

Fiona flew off the bed landing on the floor with her dagger in hand, ready to fight, "Who dare attack us!? I'll kill you!!"

The last time her daughter woke her up like this was when a monster strayed too close to their house. The blur in her vision faded. Tiara was jumping on one leg, the other raised stuck inside her pants.

After wearing the pants, hastily, her arm went inside the sleeve of her shirt— the remaining arm jabbed twice before reaching the end. Urgently, her hand stabbed the shirt ends under her pants.

She stormed out of the room, her hair still a mess but face glowing with anticipation, she shouted, "Mom! Get ready fast, we're going to learn magic!"

Fiona looked at the door with her mouth agape and eyes occupied with astonishment, "She... She woke up on her own?"

She looked down at the her night gown for a moment, surfacing from her shock. Slowly, registering what her daughter said.

She too, with great celerity, began changing into her training attire.

.....

Tiara, not unlike a raging bull, rushed into his room, sprung off the squeaky floor along with a call, "Dariuuusss~"

She dropped chest first onto his thighs, the bed creaked together with the wooden floor dangerously. The lone man was startled awake. He darted up, arms in the air, screaming in horror, "There are no kids here!!!"

His head promptly looking around, still in a daze, "Where's the police!?"

"Darius! Get ready quick!"

Darius turned his head down, seeing an adorable face looking at him with her big brown eyes. Her chin rested on his hard bulge saying, "Quick quick. It's morning already. Quick~"

An aching appeared in his head; now that the adrenaline had left. He looked at the open window— it was dark. Fingers pinching the bridge of his nose, he sighed. His blissful sleep being interrupted like this, left him with irritation, he managed to control himself from hitting her. Instead he pulled her cheeks, carefully, "What are you doing, Tiara? Why did you wake me up?"

"Ow~ I wanned to wake chu up eahrly for ze mazik lesshons~" she replied barely intelligible.

A vein was throbbing on his temple, his fingers struggled to not exert much force, "It's dark out there; not even dawn yet. You realise that, right?" His voice barely contained the rising vexation.

"Ahm shorrhy. I whash too exshited to learn mazik."

He stared at her for a while before letting go with a sharp exhale.

"Get off." He commanded.

Swiftly, she got off, rubbing her cheeks. She stood there silently tiptoing, looking at him expectantly.

He was sitting with his eyes closed; taking deep breaths to calm his nerves. He stayed like that for a while. However, her presence was beginning to grate on his nerves, "Tiara, what are you doing?"

"I'm waiting." She said.

"For what?"

"For you to get ready."

"Why?"

"If you get ready soon, we will have more time for you to teach magic."

His eyes opened. They stared at her in irritation, hoping for her to get the idea to leave. Nevertheless, he hoped for too much from this child-brained girl.

Not understanding the reason behind the look, she unawaringly raised her fists beside her round breasts. Her fists motioned forward and backward along with her soft urging, "Quick quick~"

"..."

"Quick quick~"

"...before I call Fiona and equip her with lots of slippers. I want you out of this room. You have three seconds... One..." She felt the dripping sincerity in his threat.

Not wanting to test his patience further, she darted off the room. Seeing her finally leave the room, he sighed.

"Darius." He saw her peeking, "Quick quick~"

The way he threw the pillow at her; he would have won Olympics if he had used half that strength. She had barely dodged the incoming incoming projectile and went off squealing and giggling like a little girl with sugar rush.
