I bang my fists on the desk before me and the warriors, who were here to provide me with an update on the task of her capture, jump startled by the sudden noise in the otherwise silent room. I let out a growl and they shrink into themselves, cleverly fearing me.
Maddie stands from her seat beside me and runs her hands across my back and arms, trying to distract me from my anger.
"They will get her love, and when they do you will be able to handle her anyway you see fit," she purrs in my ear.
"Leave us," I snarl and the warriors don't hesitate, they scramble for the door, shoving each other trying to be the first to get out.
